Kingdom of Aegis is a WIP custom RPG adventure map.
This thread is to (hopefully) keep people interested and to update everyone on the current progress of the map.
Levinths: Levinths are humans living in the town of Levinth. They are one of the younger races known the Aegis and have been living there for the past 500 years. Despite being only 500 years old, the Levinths quickly advance in technology, and have managed to equal, if not surpass its rivals in weaponry. They are loyal and strong in battle, and in life.
Sandmen: Sandmen are a human like race that live in the deserts of Aegis. They are the oldest known race known in Aegis. It is rumored they have lived there for tens of thousands of years. They worship gods, and the leaders of their towns are usually those who can contact those gods, and call forth their wrath. One of the toughest races, Sandmen are strong and capable warriors, yet they are the least advanced race in Aegis. They are known to never go back on their word.
Huntsmen: Huntsmen are the humanoid dog-like race that lives in the forests of Aegis. They are cunning, and prefer to use trickery to best their opponents. Most Huntsmen are accompanied by a warrior dog companion, who is treated as their best friend. Huntsmen are rarely seen without their dog companions with them. They have lived in Aegis for around 2000 years, and are a bit behind Levinths in technology and weaponry. The Huntsman, however, are the most skilled in the use of a bow. They are the ancient enemy to the Dwarfs.
Varg: Varg are the human-like race that live in the snowy areas of Aegis. They are the most aggressive and the strongest of all the races. They prefer using brute force to get what they want rather than diplomatic solutions. They have lived in Aegis for around 4000 years. They rival the Levinths in weaponry, and strength. These bloodthirsty creatures are constantly at war with each other over small debates, and duel over disagreements.
Dwarves: Dwarves are the human like race that live deep in the caves or mountains of Aegis. After being defeated by the Huntsmen in battle they have fled to their homes and haven't been heard of for 30 years. However, rumors have surfaced of their general location, and that they are back for revenge. They are one of the oldest races in Aegis and are estimated to have lived in Aegis for 7,000 years. They are known for their use of battle-axes in combat.
Achnids: Achnids are the spiders in Aegis. They serve their queen and will do anything she asks them to do. The Achnids are capable of communication, and roam around Aegis at will, attacking anyone or anything they see. They live in a cave near the rumored dwarf city. They are a common enemy to every race in Aegis, and in past times, have forced the races of Aegis to join together to defeat them.
The town of Levinth. Ahead of it is the jungle of the Huntsmen.
The town of the Sandmen. To the right you can see the snowy area of the Varg. In front of it you can see the jungle of the Huntsmen.
Current progress on the Huntsmen's homes.
In this map, you will get to play as a Levinth... or a Huntsmen... or a Dwarf! That's right i'm making three custom maps in one! They will each have a different storyline but the same map! I might even make one for the Varg and Sandmen with updates.
Requests: Feedback Feedback Feedback! I want to know what you think! I need someone to re skin the zombies and turn them into Icemen! so if anyone is good with skins please contact me! Also any ideas or anything you may want to see done, feel free to tell me.
I have added a new race to Aegis, the spider Achnids!
They will pose a new threat in this adventure map, and they will also add more quests for all three of the quest lines! (hopefully)
I would love feedback people... please let me know what you think of this idea!
This looks very interesting. I always love RP custom maps but usually can't find any good ones.I'd love to download this and try when it comes out.
Would you like to be a tester when i need some?
Keep in mind there will be 3-5 seperate stories using this one map, but playing as a different race each time.
I cant really give away the stories for each of them, but they're basically just different quest lines.
Update! Now added the basic lore of the Dwarves race. Also the map might take me a lot longer than i originally thought, do to delays in the real world. Sadly, this means the release date could be bumped back a week or 2.
I have a question
Would you people of the forums prefer i finish one part (1 storyline) and leave some uncompleted world that maybe doesnt look so nice, but its playable for testing purposes
would you rather i finished the entire landscape then did one storyline for testing purposes?
