Welcome to my Map Review Central, I decided to review people's map and try to give them an advice about their work, just for the good of it. I also do it for the love of playing custom maps and discover new things and new adventures, so shoot me with your maps! (:
My reviews sometimes will be hard as HELL, but don't take it personally, I have played million of custom maps, and I am basing my ratings on what I have already played. Remember, everything is for you to improve, or just ignore my review. (:
GAMEPLAY: This is actually the game mechanics of the game and how I interact with the entire map. A good gameplay can be that I actually feel I'm really in that place, and a bad gameplay... you know, just playing a java game with blocks placed in a shaped-cube and just being there for no reason... . In game mechanics is the use you give to the features of minecraft as redstone, command blocks, Mobs Interaction, movility through the map, etc.
STORYLINE:Technically the events that define the whole story and with logic. The storyline can be based on a existing one or just one you invented. A good simple storyline can start like being in the beach at vacations, then you hear a explosion, you find out aliens are at earth, you get kidnapped and then at the end, you become one of them forever (lol). A bad storyline can be: "You are trapped in this white box, escape!"...seriously... WTF!?. It will have to be very original to convince me giving you a perfect score on this .
DIFFICULTY/LENGHT: This is how hard or easy can be your map. If it is extremly easy it will have a low rate, if it is extremly hard it will have a low rate too. It must be balanced, just not too easy but not extremly hard, altough I like challanges ... Same with the lenght, if your map is too short it disappoint me or too long it bores me, it will have a low rate.
VISUALS: If your map have amazing buildings, stunning rooms or unique caves this will give you more points. But don't build something that does not match with the environment... (eg. A sand pyramid in the ice), except that the story of your map is different. Also adding visual details to every part of the map shows the dedication you have on your work.
EXTRA: I will qualify extra aspects that can be good or bad. If it has something that make it special and it does not goes into any of these categories, you will have extra points, but if it has bugs or things I don't like, I will probably substract points out of the total score.
Each of these categories(except EXTRA) will have a score from 0 to 10. 0 being the worst score and 10 the best score. Then I will average those 4 ratings for a total 0 to 10 again.
NOTE: I will NOT review maps that are outdated from the official minecraft version (1.4.5. ONLY) or that requiere an snapshot. Also I won't review maps that requiere MODS or Adventure Craft.
GAMEPLAY: I'm going to be honest, I don't like parkour, I hate falling and falling just to jump one damn block... BUT, after playing this map, I got a crush on the parkour, altought I felt a few times, I actually tought I was worst at parkour but with the dyanmic style of this map, I really felt I was into a high-speed race, with a full concentration on the things around me, made me forgot it was parkour and that I was a man looking for freedom! It actually remind me to a game of Game Cube I have called "Sonic Adventure 2 Battle"
Score: 8/10
STORYLINE: Well, I guess this don't need a storyline at all, but it is better than a "Escape from..." parkour map, I can't say much at this, you just need to imagine that the man running is you.
Score: 7/10
DIFFICULTY/LENGHT: What I didn't like about this map was the lack of checkpoints and that you had to go back a long way back to the checkpoint. Since you are in creative mode, it's not that long but failing repetitive times a long way back sometimes ed me off, but I guess parkour lovers wouldn't complain about it, begginers would just rage quit, but since I had to review it, I tried my best to finish it without getting frustated. About the lenght, I tought there was going to be more parkour after the minecart part, I wanted to continue, but I guess that's why I could replay the map again .
Score: 7/10
VISUALS: Since this map is on a fast paced environment, the visuals were not really necessary, since you could only watch things around you for about 2 seconds if you were running non-stop. But I would like to see some cool buildings such as in the game I mentioned before ("Sonic Adventure 2 Battle") that in some areas you are going really fast but you can perceive some astounding colossal structures.
Score: 8/10
EXTRA: The only thing I can add is that maybe you can start just outside the house down the mountain so it fit to the little intro you added into your map topic, and to add more checkpoints in case you want parkour begginers don't rage quit. And I'm giving you 0.5 extra for being the first parkour map that I really liked.
Overall Score: 7.5/10 + 0.5 = 8/10
I see great potential in this map and to be one of the best parkour maps out there... if you want to accept my suggestions that would be nice, but it is up to you. You made a really good job, keep it up with the good work, congratulations
God of Deceit by Appoes
-"God of Deceit" by Appoes-
1. GAMEPLAY: Wow, what can I say? From the beginning just where you spawn, the high mountains amazed me, I had that feeling of being there. Then advancing through each of the levels was amazing too, I could say my favorite part was the Machu Picchu place, it just felt like if you have traveled to that place, it was fantastic. The fights were somewhat hard, because I died a few times in the floating islands and I had to go back all the way back there and beat those mobs again... I ended up exhausted, but reaching a checkpoint just relieved me. At some point I felt I was playing a different game than Minecraft, it was just cool. But I got stucked in some parts, like in the floating city, I chose the hard way, but just at the first little island, I couldn't do anything so I searched a playtrough and I saw there was supposed to be a black tree, but it was nothing in mine... so I had to fly to the little island and continue as normal, sorry. In Machu Picchu, in the last puzzle, when you enter the small pyramid the entrance is supposed to explode and close the entrance? In mine did, because you could have just stay outside and wait the time pass and you can camp too just behind the wall with the sign at the bottom, I think you should fix that. The jungle part where you need to choose a path between parkour or walk into the jungle, I guess walking was the easiest thing, I found just 1 zombie in the way and that was all, no difficulty there. I played the spanish version, because I couldn't download the English version. Also, some signs were in english when they were supposed to be in spanish. Also the textrue pack made it look amazing. Anyways, amazing job, amazing gameplay, amazing ending, I hope to see more of your work, well done!
Score: 8.75/10
2.STORYLINE: You did an amazing work with the storyline, I actually have played the first part, and I can say this one was better than the first one. Relating the gods thing with the constellations and all that stuff of ancient buildings just make it MORE epic, simply because I love it. The option that you had to choose the ending that you wanted, was a great add to the story, everything was explained very well and made sense. Altough sometimes I had to read something twice to understand it, everything was done perfectly, good job.
Score: 9.5/10
3.DIFFICULTY/LENGHT: I can say that in the first moments, the battle against monsters were getting "better" as you advanced trough the zones, and that made it great. The hardest part was at the boss room, and I can say that blaze were spawning like mad, I could not even had time to read signs, but since it was at the boss part, the challenge was there. The lenght was just perfect.
Score: 9/10
4.VISUALS: Buildings and structures were epic, everything was amazing, from the beggining to the end. Altough I felt something was missing in some parts. In the giant road with water around, at the end you see a great lake of lava, I felt something was missing there, I don't know, I just had that feeling. Also at the very last part of "THE END", I felt that since it was the very last thing, you just rushed out to finish fast, but I'm not sure if that was your intention. Overall, the buildings amazed me, I could see the great effort you put into each scenario, keep it like that (I could see some places that reminded me "Goddess of Decay", like the abism in the nightmare, just saying.)
Score: 9.75/10
EXTRA: The best map I have played in a long time, everything looks and is amazing, I liked how you added music in some parts. Also, try to fix the signs in the spanish version. And in one room at the Mu, there are some empty dispensers, just nothing happens when you step the pressure plate, and try to fix the things I mentioned in gameplay. 0.25+ extra
Overall score: 9.25/10 + 0.25 = 9.5/10
I can say this is on the Top 10 maps of Minecraft for sure, if you fix a few things here and there, you can reach the perfect score. Congratulations for this amazing masterpiece you have done, I love it!
Levels by Kinglau3
-"Levels" by Kinglau 3-
1. GAMEPLAY: This map had nice puzzles, but I really could not feel that atmosphere of being in the situation you are. I mean, you had creativity on the puzzles, but some of them were just non-sense. I mean, if they are tests for you to "be free", the atmosphere of the map had to be different, not showing everything in happy nice colors. For example, in the puzzle of S. Tentacles, actually, it was kinda odd, "Pull lever, kill guy, next room." or the one with the rainbow, there were just not instructions of what to do, altough it was not difficult to realize what you had to do, it actually was strange, with that random tower. Maybe you had to implement sequences on the puzzles, that each of them are related to the other, not just randomness everywhere. So I point out some things that might help you in the future:
-Make instructions for every puzzle room. Maybe some of them do not necessary need them, but adding them just make things look clearly and cleaner, than just figuring out what to do.
-Relate the puzzles to the theme of the map. If the theme of the map start with some fire around and creepy look, and you want to change to something more pleasant, don't just cut it and hop to the next scenario, make the changes gradually. But if the situation requiere it, explain WHY.
Also, I saw a checkpoint at the lilly pad jump second room, it is just an unnecessary checkpoint, you might want to remove it out. The froggy minecart thingy, you could easly cheat in there by just standing in the minecart track and wait for the other cart, just like that.
Anyways, you could have done more with the mechanics of the map, I know you can improve!
Score: 6.5/10
STORYLINE: Well, the typical story: "You must escape, (do puzzles), YOU'RE FREE!". I think that is the most overused thing in maps. You could have explained why you are where you are and explain the rest of the situations with more detail as the map progress, but with the puzzles room I think it was kinda hard to implement something like that, you did not have that "free space" to realize all you have done to that moment and check the story to see how much is left and how much you have progressed. In this map you just do puzzles like crazy, and like I said, even puzzle rooms have no sense and no explanation to be there, just being a merely test room for you. And when you are finally free, you just stay there... I'm sorry, but this had a bad storyline, I guess it is a puzzle map after all.
Score: 5/10
3.DIFFICULTY/LENGHT: The map was too short, and the puzzles were piece of cake, except for making the bridge over the lava. When I first saw that puzzle, I was like... "This is going to be a very hard map" but as I progressed, they were getting easer, really!? ... You could have left that puzzle at the end to be honest. The lenght was somewhat short, when I finished I was not surprised by the lenght of the map, since the puzzles were equally short on it's difficulty. If you were letting someone to escape, I won't put someone the puzzles that easy.
Score: 4.5/10
4.VISUALS: I liked the decoration of the rooms, but again, like I said before, some of them just don't fit to the situation, the room with the rainbow wall, had a tower in the middle, giving the feeling it was somewhat like a fantasy story, but YOU ARE NOT in one, you are escaping, not rescuing a princess, and if you are making a tower, give it an actual propuse, don't add things just because they look beautiful. Sometimes the nice look of a map is based on what the story is telling you... but not in this case.
Score: 6/10
EXTRA: Just read carefully what I told you, there are a lot of things you must improve. No extra points this time.
Overall Score: 5.5/10
At first sight it looks like a nice map, but it disappointed me when I started playing it. Had a good presentation, good look, but when you mix all the ingredients and taste them, it was not the flavor you was looking for. So keep trying until you find the perfect mix
Black Widow by SlySlasher
-"Castlevania: Black Widow" By SlySlasher-
1.GAMEPLAY: I just can not describe the feeling while I played this map, walking trough every place, every room, every corridor, made me sweat like mad, I could not distract, I could not think on another think than the map. It was a hell inside my mind. Reaching each checkpoint I had a sensation I was being followed or being observed even being in peaceful mode, something that I never felt on a Minecraft map. The music you suggested was a great touch to the game, it helped a lot on the actual gameplay, same with the texture pack (had a few errors, not your fault, I know), and in the first note I guess, it said "Blac Widow" missing the "k" letter. Adding the fishing rods like the actual whip was a great idea, and just enough armour haha. The first puzzle was so frustating, I had 3/5 right letters, the 2 left I just guessed them randomly, those where so really damn hard puzzles, they fit perfectly to the difficult Castlevania games usually present. The seconds puzzle was easy for me at least, it did not present any trouble. The first part was a hell, more than the 2 other parts, I guess because I was nervous when I started. (I'm bad playing real Castlevania) After a few tries I passes that part and I had a feeling of acomplishment, something that just a few maps make me feel. I loved the terror at the giant towers with the pentagram on the top, It felt awesome becaused I did not die on my way up, but I was sweating, and walking across the Ghasts made my adrenaline went up and made me say to myself "I must NOT die!", fortunately, I did not. I can say that those were some awesome battles. When I just got really confused (not because of monsters) was in the boss fight, I just did not knew when the black widow was killed, because it instantly got covered in sand, I tought I had to dig my way down in the sand just up the black widow to kill it, then I just figured out that the sand was supposed to kill her (?) when I reached at the top and saw the redstone. And the puzzle of placing the button in the bedrock, I did not know what the bedrock looked like, so it took me more time than I tought. Beside that, everything was well planned, organized and clean, the redstone mechanics were just enough for the map. I had a great time playing it, and I enjoyed it very much! ALMOST TOUCHING PERFECTION!
Score: 9.6/10
2.STORYLINE: Since I played Castlevania already, it helped me to comprehend the story a bit more, even those who haven't played Castlevania would get an idea of what is it about, but wouldn't get the whole theme of it. The story was simply good, such as the Castlevania games are, directs and simple to understand, but well done. Nothing to add, nothing to remove, just that.
Score: 9.8/10
3.DIFFICULTY/LENGHT: I think I'm saying this A LOT, but it was as difficult as a Castlevania game: stressful, almost impossible to complete (altough you are a complete expert or a great gamer), that it seems to have no end and you would stay in a room forever being killed over and over again, and requiring a little of good luck to reach an important checkpoint. The hardest part for me was the first one, the rest were much easier, I just don't know why. As of the lenght, you could have an idea of how much was left because of the notes, but even like that you could make it long enough for each part. Again, amazing job on this, it was a great challange! The perfect difficult and lenght for a map like this.
Score: 10/10
4.VISUALS: I can't ask no more, everything looked perfect from the beggining to the end. my favorite, and I guess, everyone favorite part that looked awesome was the pentagram on the top of the towers, EXCELLENT. I just did not liked the last part of the Black Widow that much, I guess you should fix the look of the outside when the sand falls, just so it look a lot better, maybe like a place where you can run freely, or something like that. Congratulations on this again!
Score: 9.75/10
5.EXTRA: I guess you should only shape up some parts of the map I mentioned, and that's all. THE BEST MAP I HAVE PLAYED AND JUST A FEW STEPS TO BE A SUPERMEGAGODLYAWESOME PERFECT MAP!!! 0.2 +!!! (The map still need a few things to be really perfect.)
Overall Score: 9.7875/10 + 0.2 = 9.9875
This is another Minecraft Custom Map Masterpiece that needs to be played and enjoyed by everyone, you will have fun mixed with "pleasant" horror! THIS HAS TO BE THE BEST MAP OUT THERE UNTIL SOMEONE MAKES A BETTER MAP! CONGRATULATIONS X 1000!
Prision Escape by Dragosh98
-"Prision Escape" by Dragosh98-
1. GAMEPLAY: This map had a good but not too much overused concept, altough the objective was escaping the prision, with zombies, it had a soft atmosphere (I played in normal). Just at the beginning, you think it is gonna be a hard escape, but just going down and advancing cell by cell the way it was planned, became very repetitive making me bored after the 5th cell. You get a lot of food and armour... I know that it is a map for 1 to 4 players, but even like that it is a lot of equipement, because I just took like 3 pieces of food per chest, and when I finished the map, I still had plenty of food with me. The prisioner talking to you seems too friendly, even if he was supposed to be old, he could not be that kind, he would try to challange you more, even with zombies there, and it would be easier if there was a physical partner there, like a villager just behind the wall following your path, or something like that. Since you were trying to not being watched by guards, the feeling was not even that, I actually felt that it was a desert jail, just with monster and signs talking to me. Checkpoints did not work at all, it always said "There are monsters nearby". Ok, then, going down the prision, the parkour was a bit unnatural related to the things around; floating blocks do NOT look natural, except they are clouds, a floating island or some kind of logical reason that make the blocks float, maybe magic or demon powers, etc., in this case blocks floating around just to make the "parkour" harder, make the things look akward; [For me] Parkour in Minecraft is moving trough the enviornment using obstacles that don't look out place. So maybe that can be fixed, altough it can be easier to complete, it looks better and looks cleaner, I also noticed your partner say that you will do some "parkour", if you change the word parkour to something like, "you will need to get there by your own." ... it's like a natural conversation. Yeah, you might say I'm obsessed with "natural stuff", but it's one of the best things on the map, to make things look natural according to the concept of your map. Down the prision I also read something of "we use it to escape for the guards".... Here is a mistake, you mentioned before that they were too old to escape, and now in this sentence you say they use it to escape/the guards don't follow you (I don't really remember sorry), then they escaped and then came back to the prision? You must check that signs, (I know they found it, but it is bad structured there). You were also saying about a riot... everything was empty, no riot, no mobs, nothing. The guards room looks like a cell, there is no difference. And at the end, I tought I would finally see trees and sheeps, but PUM! I found a wall in front of me... that's not really a great ending. The most I liked about this map is the painting puzzle, and I guess that's all.
Score: 4/10
2.STORYLINE: Ok, so the map story is like this:
"You are a prisoner that has recently been convicted to the worst prison of all time." Why you are in prision? Why in the worst prison of all time?
"Infested by mobs" Why the prision have zombies? What is the origin of those zombies?
"run by corrupt guards" I could never see a guard, only imagine them :/ ... and even corrupt people get scared by zombies, so they would... a) Escape and let you die there.... Escape and let you die there. There really was not any other option since they were "corrupt guards", but they seemed very happy being jailed there with zombies.
"you must help your fellow prisoners escape this terrible life" They were not that fellow, they "forced" you in some kind to help them escape, there is some irony in this.
"and get them back to freedom." Again, it was just a plan wall.
...Wow, just 2 lines of the story and it already have errors. You really need to work on the story, even the way of ending the map makes no sense: escaping or stay in the riot. Since there was no real riot, the only way is to escape, I guess you could have really make a better alternate ending if that's what you tried to do. The storyline leaves much to be desired.
Score: 3.5/10
3.DIFFICULTY/LENGHT: About difficulty, I could have finished the map in the "Hardcore" version you mentioned, even without dying, you gave a lot of food and armour, you need to reduce that to give it a challange. Lenght was ideal to the map, you could have made the sewers a bit longer, but again, a lot of unnecessary items for the lenght of the map.
Score: 6/10
4.VISUALS: The lightings of the prision looks awesome, but without stairs, no way of going to the rest of the cells and other places of the prison, and with a roof like that, ruined the look of a "old ruined prision". You can also try to hide spawners or add dispenser with zombie eggs, it looks cleaner.
Score: 5/10
EXTRA: You knew what you wanted on this map, but I think you did not know how to make every detail that you were looking for, so I suggest to get some experience building redstone traps and machines, so you can use them in your maps. No extra points.
Overall Score: 4.625/10
You need to work hard. This map needs to be redone from 0 or fix the current one with all the things mentioned. Or just make a different concept. You just need to learn more about Minecraft, you can do it!
Castlevania NES by Dyz69
-"Castlevania NES" by Dyz69-
1.GAMEPLAY: This map had a great original gameplay, going out of the town and looking everything was almost played in straight line actually had the feel of the classic Castlevania game, using the swords as whip was nice too, the textrue pack helped a lot. The battle against monster were annoying as in real game, and that actually is a good thing for a Castlevania based game. Turning the skeleton in a mini-reaper looked awesome too. The boss battles had a great concept on how to beat them, but I guess you could have made it a bit more complex, even the first Dracula fight was the easiest one, placing torches around the spawners killed the joy of that fight (you could try to hide the spawners), except for the final one, that was a complex fight for me at least. The objective of this "based-in" map was completed, and it was recreating the sceneario and the feel of the map, but I think this could go a little more far, Minecraft have a lot of resources, they were used well in this map, but adding more mechanics and risking using redstone based puzzles would work amazing, obviously preserving the essence of the original game. For example when you killed a boss, they could have dropped the redstone into a mechanism so when it is destroyed, the door would open and you could continue with the journey, beside it adds a feeling for the people that you worked hard on the mechanisms of the map, it works like a system to prevent people skipping important parts of the map; maybe some people don't notice about that, but those who do get a good sensation that they are playing an amazing map, more than it is actually. I also have an observation on notes and signs; some notes had a few grammar mistakes, instead of "I" you had "i", when it was "I" for first person; and about signs, some of them had "innocent" questions, like in the end, I guess it said "Why is this place of diamond blocks?", the person who is playing the map already knows or figure out it's made of diamonds, so no need to add that really, instead you should add something more direct and specific, like "What the hell am I doing here!? I will investigate that place." That is way more "normal" than the other things, and instead he explains to himself what is happening, you could add like a "Divine" voice telling him what is that place, or some other ways of informing the player. Anyway, this was a funny map, mainly because of the boss fights, I enjoyed them a lot, congratulations on creating that work of art, and bringing great memories back!
Score: 8.25/10
2.STORYLINE: Since it is a map based in Castlevania, they don't really need to write a whole book to explain the story, with the actions, the way of playing and the notes added it is just enough, and it have a great start too, atlough I would like to see the NPC's in there (villagers) where the actions and signs were at the beginning in the village, so it had more realism on the story. The ending was a bit odd, appearing in that place with "your throne" and then going back to the start and awaking again was just strange, it could be like the signs said before, that you might be dead, but that was not well explained. Beside that, anything else, excelent!
Score: 9.3/10
3.DIFFICULTY/LENGHT: The difficulty was good, but in the boss battles you could have done it more difficult, the Death fight was the most difficult and the last battle too. The lenght was excelent, but again, the boss fights must be a bit longer. Hiding the spawners would help too. But you made an awesome job on making the difficult and lenght similar to the original game.
Score: 8.6/10
4. VISUALS: Visuals were amazing! The texture pack was great and the bosses were designed very well, the only bad thing was the look on the sides, it just ruined it, because I could see some water and ore looking down, you should have polished that. But the rest was just as in game! Brilliant!
Score: 9/10
5.EXTRA: I really don't have nothing to add, all the elements of the game were such as in game, and the way of playing it too, amazing work! +0.2!!!
Overall Score: 8.7875/10 + 0.2 = 8.9875/10
This is one of the greatest remakes out there, just because bringing back memories in this way is awesome, and you did it almost perfect! I gotta say you have a lot of talent, and you need to work more on the good aspect of the outside of the map, that makes people value your map even more . Congratulations on your map!
The Wizard by Spellyr
-"TheWizard" by Spellyr-
1.GAMEPLAY: When I started playing this map, I was waiting for an epic adventure with big places and a lot of encounters with NPC's (Villagers), and then at the village of the start, the first thing I find about is a simple village without knowing where to go, so I jumped into the well just for curiosity... I noticed that was not the way to go yet, so I committed suicide to go back to the village. I think that was a big flaw in this map, having directions everywhere that you could even skip, the directions were not precisely and it was even confusing. Then, going through the map, you instantly get new "wands" when actually you never used them before getting the other one. I liked the idea of the wands but it's useless to have them that often across the map. I also disliked the long long long long long tunnels you had to cross in order to get to another location, it was tedious to walk all the way down to reach another place and then having to eat all your food to recover from the long walk. When you made the map, you should have tought of cutting off distances or at least adding minecart rails, and now you can even add command blocks to move from a point to another; faster than the other methods. This long walks were unnatural too, and looked rushed. As the feeling of the map, it felt "lonely". You had the concept, but it's still a beginner map (for me). The only good thing I can rescue from this is the wizard's wand, good use of item customizations and the side quests.
Score: 6/10
2.STORYLINE: The story disappointed me, it was more promising, but in the end it turned out to be a another drop in the sea. Why? Simple: You follow the way just to reach to the End dimension and fight the enderdragon, but with a story before it, nothing else. You could even know how it would end! Believe me when I tell you, that's not original at all. I know the story could be better.
Score: 5/10
3.DIFFICULTY/LENGHT: The only difficult and long of this map was walking across the long tunnels and trying to know what to do next. I don't think I was dumb to get lost. There is a big difference between hard puzzles that make you think for a few minutes and puzzles that are incomplete and/or not well done, and yours were the second one.
Score: 4/10
4.VISUALS: There were no astounding buildings, The Wizard's house was the best building in the map, and still, it felt small. The village at the start looked like a regular village created by default. Dungeons and caves were just that: dungeons and caves. Having almost all the things in the map look isolated was a bad idea, speciallly for visuals, I felt the dry atmosphere within it, with dry and boring buildings. This map need more colour, specially when talking about wizards and magic. At least that what I think...
Score: 4.5/10
EXTRA: Nothing to point out.
Overall Score: 4.875/10
I just want to say you could do better, specially when the theme is about a Wizard. Give yourself time to work on the map, and don't rush things out. Just work hard on the next maps you make

Anything extra: This is a sequel to my first map goddess of decay so expect a lot of backstory to be given to you. Also I highly suggest using the texture pack that's recommended. It isn't required but it makes the visuals pop out even more.

DIFFICULTY/LENGHT: What I didn't like about this map was the lack of checkpoints and that you had to go back a long way back to the checkpoint. Since you are in creative mode, it's not that long but failing repetitive times a long way back sometimes pissed me off, but I guess parkour lovers wouldn't complain about it, begginers would just rage quit, but since I had to review it, I tried my best to finish it without getting frustated. Thank you very much! Glad you liked the parkour! Yea it's hard to build amazing builds because you would have to build so many of them to take up the space. It's very hard to put into perspective how long the map actually is. It goes by very fast while sprinting but I do agree that it would be a lot cooler with some huge ancient buildings. I will put that into consideration. Sonic adventure battle 2 is one of my favorite games too! I used to play that with my neighbor friends on my GameCube! Thanks for the review!
So happy my first review was such a good one thankyou so much
Also wanted to say the detail you go into as well as suggestions for changes has been invaluable. Pretty much every small problem or suggestion you've pointed out/made is something I never would have caught on my own and is going to be fixed next time the map is updated. As for that tree being missing...I have a feeling i know what caused that....the fire launchers as you enter the area : / Going to have to fix that as well can't believe one of them hit the tree! By the way which ending did you get?
PS can't stress enough the detail you go into is great, hope more people come to you for reviews!

Additional information: There is an optional texture pavk which I recommend you to use, it looks really good with the map.
I'm sorry, but this had a bad storyline, but I guess it is a puzzle map after all.
Great, I will add your map to the wait list. I have some problems with the DNS Changer virus so my main computer don't have internet at this moment, anyways, thanks for submitting your map!
-Anything extra?:
You are a prisoner that has recently been convicted to the worst prison of all time. Infested by mobs, run by corrupt guards, you must help your fellow prisoners escape this terrible life, and get them back to freedom.
You come at one of the most important times for the prisoners. They have recently discovered a old abandoned ruin, with a strange thing that they think could be their way out. However, there is nobody strong enough to finish the escape route. You are found, and everyone agrees to let you do the honors. However, you must make it to the ruins first. You start out in the worst part of the prison, which is the most infected and ruined. You must fight countless waves of zombies, with only the resources you can loot from the different cells, and with the items that your friend who is leading you gives you. However, just as you are about to escape everyone is busted, and chaos erupts in the prison. What happens next, is completely your choice.
About:
This is a Adventure map, created to be played with 1-4 players. There are two ways to play. Hard core mode, which means not using any of the secret chests found behind the clay blocks, and normal mode, which means using those blocks. If anyone successfully completes hardcore mode (very hard!) please record it so that you can prove it, and your name will be here on this thread, with your video! This map includes tons of mob fighting, some easy parkour, and a shooting puzzle.
Thank you for the review! You were very clear with the pros and cons of the map. What I have tried to achieve with the map is a map with an average difficulty, that everyone can play without having to ragequit. I guess the themes of the room were somewhat explained by the story, and the title of the map: levels, 'there are 3 areas you must get through: The nether, Minearth and the sky'. Also, the tower was supposed to be the place where the counsil that had banned you to the nether, seated. But I guess that that is unclear. What I also wanted to achieve with this map, is a fun combination of original puzzles. I have thought of and made all the puzzles all by myself, no copying from other maps. So for some people the map is hard, but for you and me it is easy. And for the storyline, it is indeed insufficient. This is because I made the map and the puzzles first, and then the story. But I thank you for your review, and I hope that you somewhat enjoyed it!
Yes, the puzzles were fun, I had fun doing them, but you might get my point.... anyway, it was a fun map overall for the decorations (: And no problem!

Thanks to you for submitting your map! I'm on my way to play it, both of them!
Since you are in creative mode, it's not that long but failing repetitive times a long way back sometimes pissed me off, but I guess parkour lovers wouldn't complain about it, begginers would just rage quit, but since I had to review it, I tried my best to finish it without getting frustated.
Overall Score: 7.5/10 + 0.5 = 8/10
I see great potential in this map and to be one of the best parkour maps out there... if you want to accept my suggestions that would be nice, but it is up to you. You made a really good job, keep it up with the good work, congratulations (:
Thank you very much! Glad you liked the parkour! Yea it's hard to build amazing builds because you would have to build so many of them to take up the space. It's very hard to put into perspective how long the map actually is. It goes by very fast while sprinting but I do agree that it would be a lot cooler with some huge ancient buildings. I will put that into consideration. Sonic adventure battle 2 is one of my favorite games too! I used to play that with my neighbor friends on my GameCube! Thanks for the review!
I will get to work on it
I'm sorry, but this had a bad storyline, but I guess it is a puzzle map after all.

Yes, the puzzles were fun, I had fun doing them, but you might get my point.... anyway, it was a fun map overall for the decorations (: And no problem!
Ok, added to the wait list!

-Anything extra?: since you have played Black Widow, my map may not be as impressive as far as architecture goes, however it is very high in nostalgia and classic memories, it even includes its own castlevania texture pack, i have just recently updated all of my story notes and let me tell you if you loved Black Widows story, you may be happy to know im the one who helped sly slasher write that story, but my story isnt as epic as Sly, hehe so i hope you enjoy my map and heres a picture for motivation :3
Ok, I will add your map to the wait list and start playing the map right now!
