...I've been playing V.1.0 for a little while now and I really love your work! I even shared this map with my friends and they too enjoy it. I've written a short story for my current progress on the map and have documented almost everything that has happened. I also have some pictures...
Heres the story so far...
Day One...
I awake on a god-forsaken island. I do not understand my purpose
yet, or what is in store for my destiny, but I may someday find out. Until that time my
biggest problem remains...I must first survive the night.
For my first act I have collected sand and have turned most of it to sandstone. With
my blocks of sandstone I have created a small house to stand for most of my existance on this
island. I have harvested six leaves of cactus, which I have planted as well, in hopes they
will grow.
I now have harvested the only tree on this island, from which I collected only two young
sapling trees. I have planted these saplings and am watching them closely...
Should I loose my only trees, I am doomed.
I have dug around an X-Shaped area of dirt, it may seem sheer stupidity that I believe it
may be important. Nightfall is coming and I must return to my shelter.
So far through the night I have noticed a pit of clay, but i cannot go near it for an undead
skelital creature lies in wait for me to leave my safe haven. I sit and wait for my dear sunrise.
The sun rises, I feel happy for the first time. After one night of gouls the sun seems to be
a redeemer of light to the world. Today i have much to do. The Skeleton has seemed to disapear,
I am going outside.
No Monster in sight, and I have planted more cactus thanks to my farm success. My saplings
have yet to grow. I have collected the clay I saw, a plentiful spot. I have also dug up the X
and created a starter mine.
From my mine I have recovered 17 pieces of coal. After making a few torches I will store the
remaining coal. Nightfall is coming, I will take shelter in my house...
...A refreshing rain washes my worries away for the night, and brings my first sapling up!
TOOLS: 1 Stone Pickaxe
I.B.'s: 1 Furnace
Day Three...
This morning I am cleaning up the landscape around my house to put up a fence of cactus. I
won't hide from monsters anymore, even though I have only encountered one.
More cleaning, and now the rain has stopped. I have harvested wood from my tree, but it
has given me no saplings...If this continues then I shall surely die of bad luck.
I.B.'s: 1 Chest
Day Four...
After the sun came up I finished the cactus fence and made bricks from the clay to make
gateways. I have finished my house and now it is just a test of time.
Nightfall, I wish that some kind of animal could visit, I feel very alone. Even a monster
would be nice to see. At least I would know I'm not the only one here. The Squids I have
gazed upon for days now; are no comfort at all.
Hey guys. If you're like me you love this map idea and want to use it on your SMP server as an event. Well I have modified the map to have 8 islands and a central starting point. I have also extended the ocean much further. I will be setting up an event this week and the winner will get in-server currency. you can really do it however you want. anyways here is the link to the world file, enjoy guys!!!
1. Build a two story house/base with at least 20+ windows. DONE
2. Build 10 bookcases. DONE
3. Build an automated cactus farm. DONE
4. Build an under ground tree farm. DONE
5. Build an above ground animal trap.
6. Build a drowning trap around the skeleton spawner. destroyed the skelly spawner by accident, FFUUUUU
7. Build a cart system.
8. Build something with redstone.
9. Gather 10 unused diamonds. DONE
10. Find the treasure left behind by the Lost Curator. DONE
This was fun. I had to disable all my mods to prevent temptation to cheat, but by day 2 I had a farm, an animal spawning place, a two story house, two domestic dogs, a system of lit-up caves, and a functional skeleton spawner dungeon trap. I still have not yet found the treasure. Maybe I need to go deeper into the caves...
Ok, i started to play 1.2, but there was no bonuses, so i downloaded 1.1. heres myprogress. Day 1: I made a temporary underground base until i have enough materiel to build a bigger and better house. I started to mine and heard zombies. So i thought "Well, that means theres a cavern nearby and ill find some ore." I continued to mine then found some cobble. Then out od no where a skleton arrow hit me and i spilled coffe all over my keyboard. So I guess ill play some more in the morning, then ill figure out if its a skeleton spawner or a zombie one. Great map by the way! I would post pictures of my stuff, but my screenshots arent working somehow. Does that happen to anyone else?

Im downloading 1.1 because it looks like it has the most challanges and stuff. And because a friend of mine told me The Yogscast played it Ill post pictures of my goals later today. looks like a great map
I did this challenge with a friend, and we kind of went overboard...
We visited the mainland after finishing the challenges, so we have extra pumpkins and some birch trees. I got bored, so I made the North, East, South, and West corners Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn, respectively. This was a very fun map, and thanks to the creator for making Minecraft even better.

I will download V.1.2 and continue my adventure.
P.S. Great job on the map!
After you download the file and the commpessed zipped folder is on your desktop, what do you do to start to play it?
The link for version 1.0 still works go for that if you're having trouble with the others.
Tam, you're the only one online can you tell me what to do after you get the compressed file on your desktop?
Anyone play on or own a server that does adventure and survival maps? I'd like it to be 1-5 people.
Found the spider spawner :happy.gif:
Your survival maps are the best, they actually have complex cave systems!!
