Now after all the suffering, I've discovered that the reason why i couldn't find any of the challenges or the coveted Curator's Treasure, I downloaded the map again and it turns out, I was playing version 1.0...
After downloading the new version, I found the treasure and finished all the challenges in about an hour.
And credit to the author as well, the concept was interesting and it was executed flawlessly, looking forward to more!
I have a huge problem :sad.gif: i just started and blah blah blah i set up a tiny house just as night hit and as i huddled in my shelter clutching the stone sword i was barley able to make nothing happened... no monsters have appeared at all :/ it would be helpful if there was sumwhat of an island nearby that they would spawn on...

TNT has a restraining order against lightning, therefore cannot be struck, or lightning would face some serious charges.
Could anyone upload the cordinates to the Lost Curator? ( can be found by pressing F3) have read the description to the location and found like 6-7 monster spawners but still no luck, I would be forever gratefull if somone could help me out! oh and
Well day one was just gathering supplies, I used my tree up right away and found some iron in a cave beneath the x.
On day 2 i dueled 2 spiders and died once, but managed to kill them both im continuing now. Alrighty, time to gather supplies. I headed into my mine/cave thing and dug a bit deeper, uncovering..... SKELETONS! i procceded to patch the hole and gather some cobble from my first cave, then went topside to get some wood. Construction on the house begins tomorrow.

Im always looking for a good small server. PM if you have one.
Ok, I got the hints about the treasure, I have 2 caves leading from the first skeleton dungeon, I know one of them is the wrong one because I've reached dead ends in all of the branches, but the other one I've been digging in for a few days and I have yet to see a sign or anything. I found a piece of lone cobble in an area I hadn't explored yet, but that's it, there was nothing else around it. I've tried using cartograph to search for unusual structures, I even explored the earth using MCedit, but I'm still completely lost...
EDIT: I have no idea where the glass bridge challenge or fountain challenges are, I've already encountered several lakes of lava and large waterfalls...
The treasure is in the cave system. Look for dark spots you may have missed on your way. I've seen a couple of huge lava pools but haven't found the bridge myself.
In the many games that I've played over the past 20 years or so, I never find these challenges fun. When I first looked at the map (opened up in my game), my first thoughts were 'Blech!", 'Dullsville for sure, I should just quit now and press the delete button', however as time progressed and I was able to get more saplings and plant more trees, the map became WILDLY ENTERTAINING.
I'm nowhere near even completing one of the challenges, but seriously, you've done a great job on this, it truly is entertaining and something just a little more structured in a game without structure but yet still allowing me to do my own thing that I give you a serious x10 for entertainment value.
Kudos to you
P.S. When I chopped down the only tree on the island hoping to get some sapplings to plant, I didn't even see one sapling drop. I thought I was going to have to start over since if I can't get at least one sapling from the tree then it's FAILSVILLE. However, there it was, one lone sapling in my inventory that I treated with care and planted. Now waiting on top of a huge sand tower for daytime since I don't have a sword to do battle and am in the middle of 'down time' while the tree grows up. Hopefully it too will yield at least one sapling, else I've failed.
