First off, kudos to Ashien, this is one awesome map! (The amount of times i lost everything I ever loved because of that dungeon though).
Right now I have been challenging myself on this map.
I will share what I am planning, and invite any of you to take up this challenge too.
With the same rules of the original (In the OP) you must build a boat to escape the island as fast as you can.
When I say 'Boat', I am hugely understating. I mean a multi-sailed galleon. (So not just the dinky cardboard box you can craft).
The boat must be built offshore from a wooden dock and have the following:
2+ Sails (Made of wood and cloth - any color)
2+ masts
A crows nest
A rudder, and steering wheel
A hold (a room under the main deck - hatch to get inside) :
A food chest for the journey in the hold:
- 5 Cooked fish
- 5 loaves of bread
- 5 apples
- 1 cake
- 5 Pork chops
- 10 Sugar
- 2 Buckets of milk
- 2 buckets of water
- 5 Mushroom soups
A combat chest in the hold:
- 5 Iron swords
- 3 Iron Axes
- 3 Bows
- 50 arrows
- A set of leather armor
- 3 TNT's
The captains cabin:
- A bed
- A table
- A chest with 10 gold ingots, a compass, a watch and a diamond sword.
- A Bookcase
The rest is up to you, you may decorate it anyway you like. Just make sure the creepers don't go anywhere near it.
So far I have been playing for about 3 hours and have a good frame of my ship coming along, and my eco-tree roof is pumping out trees faster than I can cut them down. Will post a pic if I finish my ship.
If you do take this up, don't be surprised if you find yourself constantly re-sizing your ship. For me its probably gonna end up half the size of the island.
You can also try this in multiplayer too!
For the ship to be complete you will need to farm/kill/collect bamboo/sugarcane, trees, fish, grain, cows, sheep, chickens, pigs creepers, spiders, mushrooms, and every kind of ore. Good luck.
Okay, so I downloaded this guys version, but when I go to find my save files to move the survival island thing to it, I can't find it under roaming like the directions say, any suggestions?

In Soviet Russia you starve...What? You expected a joke? Soviet Russia sucked.
just thought id say that even though this is no longer being maintained that I still LOVED this map, so much so that even after iv finished all the challenges iv continued to explore caverns and mine stuff, now im working on expanding the island lol and YES I have left the island but only AFTER i finished the goals. lol i cant bring myself to delete this map :tongue.gif: very fun!
First day completed. I got the coal, and I'm continuing to survive.
I'm doing 1.0 on normal by the way.
Is the only coal under the X? Or is there more elsewhere?

This is not a signature. This is a collection of pixels on a screen that form into words.
On my ~10th day, it's hard to keep track with the bed and everything. Anyways, my house and Nether Island are only ok (wheat farm is slightly terrible), but what I'm proud of is my BioDome. Pics:
Rest of the album here. Wondering what to do with my fourth island space, though. Automated cactus farm? Mob trap? Would appreciate some help on the best thing to do there. Thanks for the awesome map, Ashien!

-Cut down the tree
-Replanted 5 saplings
-spread grass a bit
-found coal
-made some crops
-got some cobble
Night 1:
-completely neglected shelter
-dug a small hole
-jumped in
-secured hole
Currently in the hole
Its been about a minecraft month so far possibly more.
I have managed to find the curators treasure and have explored most of the caves.
I am about to start building my 2 storey house. cant decide whether to use logs or wood lol.
I have made the lava fountain. I hope it qualifies. (It goes to building limit).
I went a bit over zealous on the scarecrow. Yes it does have a jack ' o ' lantern head.
I Started working on my defense because i keep getting monsters coming in from sea an d its really annoying.
This is my tree farm after I gathered all of the wood lol it hadd 16 trees all grown. It took 3 minecraft days to harvest.
Heres my skelli trap which gives me infinite arrows and bones to speed up my tree and wheat farm.
P.S. This map is epic.
Too bad he stopped making it.
He deserves a free
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit: Heavily inspired by Itsleeford's Survival Island submission. (Also, 999th post!)
There is more, it just takes a bit of digging.
Now you see it...
Now you don't...
I love that biodome, and the texture pack, it looks amazing.
Thanks so much! The texture pack is GeruDoku, by the way. Cheers :smile.gif:
