Ok, Is there anything worthwhile here? Like a secret cave or something? otherwise this seems preety stupid and you can just use the sand as a shelter

I hope there's a secret monster spawner somewhere, this island barely looks big enough to spawn mobs.

Starting, I had just downloaded the original island when I noticed the lack of reeds. Since you have reeds, you, sir, have officially got your first participant. I will post tomorrow of my adventures of tonight.

any way day three and here is my survival house

its not pretty but it works (especially since i have found no hositle mobs and i set it to hard.)
i have a small farm plot and a lone plane i named bob :3 isn't bob cute?

now the rest of the island


as you can see i replanted some trees, (which haven't grown and is been three days already >.<)
and i pulled all the lights out from the small mine i made to get to the coal and put cacti there for good measure

I like the look of this. Downloading it now. Hope to have some pics up in a few hours... =D

Yeah... Don't attempt this on Hard, with the full pack for Mo' Creatures installed. Ogres suck.

2nd day completed, brick, glass and dirt house :biggrin.gif: 2 block high cobblestone wall up to prevent angry beasts from blowing a hole in my creation. Main base has been setup underground. I just need those saplings to grow... I have 4 sticks and one block of wood. :|

Also, never have I been so glad to see dirt pockets underground.

First day completed...replanted trees cacti and reeds. very good game.

So... collecting resources from the ocean doesn't count as cheating, right?

EDIT:

Toughed it out on the outside... unfortunately, had to run from a couple skeletons for a while until the morning came... they got me once or twice. Got a couple saplings to grow, also found some coal.

Night 1: A zombie.
Night 2: 2 zombies.
Night 3: A skeleton.
Night 4: A spider riding skeleton, and two additional spiders.
Night 5: 3 wolves. (I'm using Mo' Creatures modpack)

Someone could "extend" the island to land, maybe from wood since it replenishes. Would that be cheating? It would still be an island. Take this challenge. Escape without swimming/without a boat, build your way to the land!

It says don't leave the island, not don't get into the water.
