I wanted to try the map, but I start outside, in the middle of the "village" in creative mode. I'm fairly sure from your video it's not supposed to be like this...

I just finished the map, it's been fun.
First, the good stuff:
I liked the idea of the default gear and helmet to have the player appearance match the theme of the map
The map design is nice
The starry sky with particles is a great idea!
Now, I had a couple of "problems" while playing, mainly:
The general lack of directions: the map is fairly large, and the complete lack of goals other than "figure something out" is a bit too overwhelming
I started with your inventory. Not a big deal, but it’s probably a good idea to clean it before releasing
Is the lantern supposed to light up your surrounding? If it's a mod, you should probably list it here
Some puzzles lack a reason to be solved in a specific way. Why should I put the tavern key in the barrel, for example? Why should I put the jail key in a random hidden barrel to open the doors? This relates to 1, I feel I'm just trying stuff out at random.
I solved the bank puzzle by getting a gold ingot out of an item frame and converting it to a nugget. Only later I found out that I was supposed to get the nugget from the mine
Point 1 is the main problem I had with the map though, the rest is just minor stuff. Good job!
Completely agree, this first map was almost a test, seeing how to build maps, how red stone should work, how to record and edit, etc. We messed up on a lot but we learned what to do better on our next map. There will definitely be directions in the next one. Thank you for the comment!

Having finished my first map as well, I know the struggle. About the goals, I solved it by using advancements. It’s vanilla friendly and doesn’t get in the way if someone actually wants a challenge and figure out everything on their own

If you’re still outside the area, try /kill, the respawn point should be inside the main area.

I was thinking of something like an item you can throw on the floor to give you a clue, but I’ll really keep that in mind, thanks!
