Steel Wool Run
The Steel Wool Run is a Race For The Wool variant made for two teams of 5 (give or take). The game consists of collecting 7 pieces of wool hidden in set locations around the map. The map is made of two parallel lanes, with a "no man's land" running between the two. The first team to collect all 7 wool and eliminate the opposing team wins. Each wool's location can be seen by looking across to the other team's lane, since each lane is the mirror image of the other.
How To Play
Steel Wool Run is made for 2 teams of 4-8 players (but can support as many or as few as you'd like!). There are two phases to each Steel Wool Run game: Wool Collection and The Final Fight.
Colored wool can only be found in 7 temples hidden throughout the map. Each temple serves as a dungeon, and has either a puzzle to solve or monsters to defeat before the wool can be claimed. Wool is captured when it is brought back to a team's monument and placed in the proper location. Be careful when transporting wool, however, as dying will cause the wool to vanish!
Instead of ending the game like a regular Race For The Wool game, collecting every wool forces the opposing team to enter the Final Fight. Each team member in the Final Fight has one life left. This puts pressure on the second place team, but it doesn't mean it is over yet! The team in the Final Fight still can capture wool, prompting their opponents to join them in the Final Fight. The game ends when a team completely runs out of lives.
Similar to other Race For The Wool maps, you cannot enter the outer lanes or build into the center lane.
Steel Wool Run requires the following gamerules to be set when creating the server. Some of the following must be accessed in the server files, for which there are multiple tutorials online for how to set up.
