I agree that in some of these maps with a few quick changes you could avoid the trouble of having to create multiple copies, but that's up to the mapmaker.
And you could say this genre of CTM maps was started in 2012/13 (I don't remember exactly) with Xekaj's 'Zero Mercy' series that was quite successful at the time, but since then no other map series of this genre lived up to the quality of those maps. Meanwhile, Spanish Youtuber ElRichMC has been playing 25 maps of this genre every December since 2012/13, so this could explain why they are way more popular and well-known within the Spanish CTM community than the English one.
And with that, I've gone through all 25 maps and left my opinion on them. Some were good, some were bleh, and others were as infuriating as intended. It was interesting seeing this side of CTMs since I'd never heard of them until this thread. I also learned that you can have only 25 spoilers in a single comment or the whole thing will go nuts and stop working.
Watching this makes me realize that I have a lot of work to do before I can even remotely consider myself an advanced player.
Okay, using the creeper explosion to damage boost onto the wall and then what I am now calling "Pot strat" to do the same on the way back was pretty clever.
Then using the chest and wools in the cathedral to hide was something I really wish I'd thought of when I struggled through that map.
And my goodness, that Infection run was a little too clutch, but that was awesome there!
Now of the maps you did complete, which would you say was the biggest pain to get a good time on? I see that Infection and Detonator Passage have some really high numbers. Were they a pain to complete or a pain to get a satisfactory time on?

Just about all of the runs in the video are the first completed attempt of the map. The repetitiveness pretty much ensures that I will get a solid run the first time I actually beat the map. The most annoying maps to run were Overload III, Vanilla Doom, Detonator's Passage, and Infection.
Also that strat in Infested Cathedral was found by ElrichMC.

New maps released! - Infection & Lethal Circles II
Both maps look great! Although it'd be awesome if you could credit the author of the first Lethal Circles map too.
Seems the link for Detonator Passage isn't working for me. Everything else is just fine, though.Working fine now.
Stay fluffy~
