Think back to the glory days of Minecraft. Slashing your enemies to death without the need to hide behind a puny shield. Minimalist combat mechanics that let map makers flank the player with mobs left and right. Custom creations beyond your wildest dreams. Relive all of this and more with my newest series of maps, Dwindling Hopes.
Without further ado, let's get to some of the maps.
These maps are some of my longest out there. With 16 objectives, and focused more on combat than aesthetics, these puppies are bound to make you jump out of your seat a few times in a seething rage. Or maybe just mild frustration at a falling sand trap. I sure do love those.
Note: The difficulty ratings for these are based around your overall knowledge of the game and ability to fight using 1.8 mechanics. Anything over a 7/10 is not recommended for beginners to the CTM genre, unless you really want a challenge. Don't say I didn't warn you.
DH1: Of Earth and Stone - 10% Complete
A dark power from within the Earth is growing stronger day by day, and it's your job to try and stop it. Travel around a vast underground world in search of 12 powerful discs to bring peace across the soon to be corrupted land, but fair warning- it won't be easy. Created for Minecraft 1.8, this map will have you on your toes from the start, and has no promise to get any easier.Difficulty: 7/10.

Different to my full maps, these smaller additions to the Dwindling Hopes series consist of 3-5 objectives instead of 16. With a focus on very fleshed out and polished experiences, these maps are guaranteed to be a challenge, just with a shorter amount of playtime. Expect anything from rage-inducingly challenging 1 wool dungeons, to cheerful bunny meadows full of loot and resources. You're in for a treat.
There are currently no Mini Maps in the works. This page will be updated with information as more come out.
Restricted Building/Parody Maps:
Oh boy, these maps are a doozy. For each of these maps I sit down, think of an idea, and get straight to work. Think of a CTM Jam if you will. All of these maps were either made in a certain time frame or with a certain map building restriction. Definitely not my best works, but something fun to try out if you're bored. And good luck, because they're just as difficult as any other map on here, if not more.
Unbalanced Mess -
Built in just under 3 days, and the first CTM map I ever created, this 16 Objective map exists in a world of complete and utter chaos. From challenging and bizarre dungeons, to tricks and traps galore, this map proves to be a challenge to complete for me to this very day, and won't go easy on you either. This is not a map for the faint of heart. Difficulty: Starts at a 7/10 and only gets harder from there. Purposely frustrating area design and lack of loot in some areas may cause the difficulty to increase the more you die. Always stay on your toes.
If you haven't used MCEdit before, let me tell you, the brush tool is a thing of wonder. For caves, for platforms, roofs, you name it. So why not try to build an entire map without using it? Created over the course of 2 months, this map was made entirely without use of the brush tool in MCEdit. Imagine an entire map full of box-y rooms, moss stone dungeons, and the occasional void pit. You'd need therapy after a while too. Difficulty: 8/10. Starts out unforgiving, and gets easier as it goes on. Watch out though, the final few dungeons can get tricky.
