YknotTalk's CTM Saga: A Saga of CTM maps by YknotTalk.
Hurray for arbitrary subtitles.
Hi there! I'm YknotTalk. This is my first CTM map under this name but don't be fooled, I made CTM's back in 2011 to 2013 under the name Bman1255 (unfortunately, those maps have been lost to time now, although there still are some old LP's you can find if you look for Bman1255's Lands of Eternity),and I'm hoping half-a-decade-later I can get back into the swing of things with this new string of CTM maps. My biggest influence was-and-still-is Three-Two's Vinyl Fantasy series and I'm hoping these new maps can recapture those maps sense of oldschool raw survival while updating them for a modern playstyle. Is that possible? I don't know, but at least it'll be interesting to find out.
Deterministic Dreams is the 1st map I've made in over half a decade. I made it back in October 2017. Did some testing over December, sat on it in January. And now, on January 31st, I'm finally ready to put it out there.
For Deterministic Dreams I've stuck very heavily to my roots, while trying to gently move my way into some of the more mechanical aspects of Minecraft that were alien to me. My main goal was to keep this map as open-ended as possible. There's some custom spawners, loot and mobs but I personally find that makes replays of the same map samey. Be prepared to put yourself in perilous situations just to get some tasty iron. If you're looking for a nostalgic trip down some early-2010's CTMing that's mindful of the new direction the game as taken: this map may well be for you!
Hello I would love to test your CTM map if you are still looking for some beta testers, I'm experienced in multiple CTM maps made by vechs. I'd be willing to tell you and help you fix anything that is not balanced.
So, funny story. I made the map over October, with plans to test over Novemeber and release on January 1st.
In case you're blind, today is not January 1st.
My life decided to be "you have a plan? lolnope" and kind of decided to get busy all of a sudden so I never got the time to package the map up and release it.
