Hi there! I'm PearUhDox, and welcome to my CTM series, The Legacy!
The objective of a CTM map (Complete the Monument) is to finish a Monument by placing different various items on it, such as wool or blocks of a certain material. You will find these items ("objectives") scattered around the map. Material blocks are typically iron, gold and diamond blocks. You may craft these blocks for the monument, But you are not allowed to craft other objectives, such as colored wool, for the monument.
Sound Intriguing? Lets get to the maps!
But first, here's a set of Standard CTM rules before you play!
1) Find and complete the Monument. 2) Find objectives in chests scattered around the map. Do not attempt to create your own copies! 3) You may craft any material block required for the Monument. (Iron, Gold, Diamond, etc.) 4) Use at least Easy difficulty, and never Peaceful. Maps are balanced around Normal. 5) Do not leave the boundaries of the map. This includes building Nether Portals that are not provided to you. 6) You may not pick up, craft, or move Ender Chests. You may use Ender Chests provided to you in the map.
7) Do not use mods or third party tools to cheat the map.
8) You may survive in any way you can think of that does not break the rules above. (You can break and place blocks, its Survival Minecraft)
After you've read the rules, now lets get to the maps!
Legacy's Standard CTM Maps:
Legacy #1:
Illumina is a map inspired by Vechs' Inferno Mines from 1.5.2. It takes place in an abandoned quartz mine and cavern system, where you try and complete the Monument while discovering what happened to the miners, as well as the many secrets that hide within the cavern. The map is quite compact, so many areas can be seen from scenic vistas in other areas. (Across lava rivers and large impasses) The map is nearing 50% completion.
Map Information:
Planned Minecraft Version: 1.13
Number of Objectives: 16 Wool, 3 Material Blocks, 27 Bonus Prismarine Shards
Difficulty: 2/5 - 4/5 (Easy to Hard)
Length: 15 Hours of Playtime
Style: Linear/Branching

Coming Soon: Fall 2018
Legacy #2:
"A Nightmare to Remember" is a 12 Objective CTM Map which takes place in a nightmarish world where you experience a variety of phobias. The entire 12 Objective Map was built in a 72 hour period for the CTM Community's 16th Strawberry Jam "Nightmare". The map is fiendishly difficult, requiring not just skill but knowing a few ins and outs of Minecraft in order to get an edge in the map. This is only compounded by the map being in Hardcore mode, meaning that if you die, you must start over! The map also uses a custom teleport system requiring you to protect beds as warp points back to the Monument. How far will you get? Will you complete the entire Nightmare? How many tries will it take? Do you have the courage?
The map has been updated to a "1.2" version. This version is a better balanced and tuned map, maintaining about the same level of difficulty, but now with hardcore as an opt in mode, as well as fully flushing out a few areas.
Map Information:
Recommended Minecraft Version: 1.12.2 (1.13 or the current snapshots will break this map!)
Objectives: 12 Records
Difficulty: 4/5 (Hard) (Has an option for Hardcore mode)
Length: 12+ Hours of PlaytimeStyle: Open World/Branching
Instability is a unique CTM. The map is built around the quirk that the entire playable area takes place within a 25 by 25 by 256 pillar. Overall the map's areas are diverse and blend together via short transitions. The map features custom loot, monsters, advancements, and a bit of splash lore that will be fleshed out in my full CTM maps.
Note: Please select a difficulty before beginning. (At the spawn location)
Map Information:
Recommended Minecraft Version: 1.12.2 (1.13 will break the map when it releases)
Citadel Raiders is a Mini CTM made for the CTM-C's 15th Strawberry Jam: "Castles, Cathedrals, and Citadels". The challenge was to make a Mini CTM map with at least 3 objectives themed around castles and the like. "Citadel Raiders" is my entry for said challenge. The map features several castle-esque areas loosely based around the award winning beat-em-up 2D game known as "Castle Crashers".
Note: Please select a difficulty before beginning. (At the spawn location)
Map Information:
Recommended Minecraft Version: 1.12.2 (1.13 will break the map when it releases)
Hyperborea is not only an impressive, exciting climb up a frozen spiral for your main objective, but also features a unique arena. You'll face down waves of monsters in an ever-shifting, command-block powered colosseum, fighting both custom mobs and menacing bosses, then use your trophies to buy unique items. The Map was created for the CTMC Advent Project 2017, and thus only features 1 objective. However, the map is more than large enough to make up for this.
Map Information:
Recommended Minecraft Version: 1.12.2 (1.13 will break the map when it releases)
World of Anarchy II is a remake of my Strawberry Jam #18 Map. The theme was "Mind Games" and for it I released a Roguelike Mini-CTM map. Overall I decided in the end, the original copy of the map wasn't suitable to be widely released, so I worked over the months to refine it. The map is a procedurally generating dungeon which changes periodically as you play. Every time you play, different rooms will appear, presenting different challenges and a unique difficulty. Every player's experience will differ and be unique due to this.
Map Information:
Recommended Minecraft Version: 1.12.2 (1.13 will break the map when it releases)
Number of Objectives: 4 Wool, 6 Bonus Items
Difficulty: 3-4/5 (Hard)
Length: 4-8 Hours of Playtime (Playtime on this map can wildly change because many of its elements are random.)
This section is for maps I have helped built but aren't a part of my series specifically. Its purpose is to highlight other mapmakers I have worked with, as well as lead fans of my maps to other things I have worked on.
The Rookie Gauntlet
Fresh out the gate, and ready to destroy. Made by entirely fresh mappers, this map will put you through a gauntlet of challenges!
In this map, I have had the pleasure of making one of the 16 Wool Areas of the Gauntlet. It's gonna be a blast to play! Features the work of other mapmakers such as Fornan_II, Omegaplayer, Deneb, Teewie, Navarog, and more!
Monumenta: Monumenta is a survival based CTM-MMO Server for Minecraft 1.12.2. I have joined the team building the server, and thus felt it was good to advertise it here as well.

This area is for changelogs of all maps that I create. Here you can find whats changed with each map since the creation of this section, so unfortunately this will not include any changes before November of 2017, as those were lost due to MCForum bugs.
A Nightmare to Remember:
Version 1.2 - The Aurian Update - In honor of Aurabolt's stream LP of the map, which has helped me see what needs improving in the map.
- Added in several new items to the map, and reformatted all rare items. (Some in honor of Aurabolt)
- Removed several broken advancements.
- Added some more unique materials to Areas 3, 4, 5, 7, and 11. (This should not affect overall difficulty, but allow players more flexibility in how they play.)
- Better improved the aesthetic of Areas 4 and 11.
- Added more depth to Area 11 so that the area is actually an area, and not a gauntlet of fun. (Its an actual long area now, and is a lot better I guarantee.)
- Added The Fisherman to Area 4. (This is a way to add more depth to fishing, which is a big mechanic of Area 4.)
- Added some better fast travel in a few areas to make the beginning slightly less time consuming. (Again, should not affect difficulty, but just make the beginning more fun.)
- Added slight aesthetic tweaks around the map.
- Slightly changed mob spawners in a few areas. (Notably Areas 3 and 4.)
Overall the map should be more enjoyable for all players. Although the difficulty 'may' have slightly dropped, the map is still true to its purpose and will still serve as a challenging map with resource scarcity and tough areas.
Version 1.1 - The Awakening Update
- Made the Hardcore mode an opt-in setting.
- Added advancements for various things into the map, including the monument.
- Removed Silverfish stone in the first 3 areas of the map. (This was making the areas simply annoying, rather than challenging, and added no difficulty to the map, instead it just slowed down the pacing.)
- Added in the Crazed Trader for an ability to gain more early game materials.
- Slight tweaks to early game mob health and stats.
Version 1.0 - Initial Release
Citadel Raiders:
Version 1.3 - The Polishing Update - 12/10/17 - Added Advancements to the map. - Rebalanced the beginning items. Added offhand charms for each starting chest. (Just so players can have more options and to create a bit of kit diversity.) - Slightly reformatted the beginning of the castle. - Added a second trader in the map who sells slightly better gear. Also sells treasure maps. - Added a treasure map for each item required for the Rock Crusher. (These are in case you're having trouble progressing you can now find the items.) - Moved the diamonds in Industrial Castle to inside the main chamber. - Various random minor additions that need no explanation (minor aesthetic changes and bug fixes) - Fixed a few bugs, including the map starting the player in creative mode. - Deleted player data files so map runs smoother. - Removed Shield Buster from the map, as shield changes are coming in future updates that will perform the same functions as Shield Buster.
Instability:
Version 1.4 - Polishing Update - 12/19/17 - Re-Did the Advancements as I felt they were lacking. - Fixed a few bugs here and there. - Removed player data files. - Removed Shield Buster mechanics. - Slightly (very slightly) rebalanced starting loot chests.(Essentially more food to start.)
I love your maps! I am so happy to see you use custom mobs, custom item descriptions and stats, even some unique items using command blocks and custom advancements (I know advancements are new, but still - so cool). Can't wait for your full CTMs!
Thank you! It makes me happy knowing that people are enjoying my content! I'll start posting here more on updates to my full maps as they get closer to completion, right now id say both are about 33% complete.
Hey everyone! So I've been hard at work for the past couple months having enough to show off of my current in progress map! (Yes, I'm alive lol...) So going up under my Standard CTM section is some pictures to view my first project: Illumina.
The map is well underway, its nearing 50% completion... When it does reach 50% completion, there will be an "open-ish beta" where players can try out the first half of the map and give me feedback on how it feels, what's good, what's bad, etc...
I've also been redesigning my "Shield Buster" mechanic. It is now more of a shield rework than just a hard nerf (although it is still predominantly a nerf) I've given out some ways to make using shields fun and engaging, and to give them a bit more of a specific use. The update to that will be a little while on the thread, and it will be a little while for my maps as well... It will probably hit my minimaps and the forum page in mid October.
I know I'm not too active on MCForums, and I check this thread a little infrequently, as its not exactly the most convenient tool at my disposal... So if you want to get into contact with me quickly, you can find me on the CTM Community discord, the link to which is in the forum thread I am posting beneath. Speaking of which, that is where my open beta will be released if you want to find it... (Don't worry, the original complete map will be posted on this thread) If you have any questions about my maps, or would just like to chat, you can find me there.
Hey I responded to your question, but derped and forgot to quote you so you'd see it. XD I am so good at this forum thing. The response is above this comment.
Hey, thanks for the video! I'll keep tabs as you play it, and I'll add your LP to my LP listing! Also, I am not sure how far you record in advance, but the map has been updated now to a "1.3" version in which I polished up a lot of things, and overall did some tidying up the map. If you haven't gotten too far into the map, then I'd recommend opening the latest version and getting back to where you are. If not, and you're quite a ways in, then no worries, keep on playing, the map is still good in that old version. (Also I'm your first CTM, like wut... Thats an honor. :D)
I just uploaded my first Citadel Raiders video, I love the map so far!
(Again, I mis-clicked the quote thing, so this is to confirm that you saw my above post. (I'm figurin' out this forum thing I swear)
One more thing, the map is in survival. So you're free to break, place, and dig to your heart's content, so long as you don't break any of the rules or leave the map. (So you could mine the wood, coal, and hay in the starting room, its there for a bit of supplies.)
Hey yall! So I've recently updated Instability and Citadel Raiders, giving them that polish that Nightmare to Remember has! Specifically with advancements, and bug fixes and slight rebalances! So if you wanna play them, now is better than ever!
Starting to get back into the swing of things in the MC community and realized I missed CTM genre. Looking forward to your full maps and I will be playing your mini-CTM's as a series on my channel after Christmas holiday I also made a CTM a while ago but it's meh now that I look back on it. Good luck in the future and keep mapping!
Also this weekend most likely I'll post a devblog on Illumina as well as some more content here. I've got some projects I need to release now and just haven't gotten to yet, with Senior year of high school and stuff like that getting in the way of mapping.
Hey y'all. I'm also going to be attempting to show off a few of the things I plan to release this weekend via teasers in the coming week. The first one should be tomorrow (Monday if you're in US Time, dunno how it will shake up in Europe/Asia). I've also provided ways to contact me via the CTMC Discord or a business email, although CTMC Discord is preferred, and I'd prefer if email isn't spammed. You can also contact me here by replying on the forum page, the above options are just for more general chat and more private conversations.

Hello, i like your maps and i will support you to continue doing CTMs. I'm youtuber maybe i'll record your second map

So thats basically it, thanks for taking the time to read!

My first gameplay about A Knigthmaster To Remember
Ill try it out. Looks good.
Do any of these maps work in multiplayer?
Hey, sorry for the late response! I've been super busy. The maps have not been specifically tested in multiplayer, but should work fine!

Well, time to dive into a few more maps that show potential!
Stay fluffy~
Well Monday the Forums were down, and Tuesday I got busy... Here's a screenshot of a project for Wednesday though.
Its getting rather cold...
If I do another reveal, it will be on Friday. Thursday is a little too busy for me. Friday may or may not also happen.
