Welcome to The Fourth Wall, a Minecraft adventure map where your job is to enter into a virtual reality game and convince the characters that they aren't real. All goes smoothly until you begin to lose communication with the lab, and then you discover that this game is hiding secrets from you...
Experience a strong storyline, mind-boggling puzzles, and (in one section) quite possibly one of the most challenging parkour stretches in Minecraft! Do you have what it takes to conquer this game?
Gameplay time: roughly 2+ hours, depending on your skill level.
We suggest NOT using Optifine...please see Rules and/or Disclaimer below.
By the way, there’s an experiment loose in the map. Just don't li
NO, PLEASE HELP ME! I’m not supposed to be here! Don’t ignore me like everyone else!!!
Play in Adventure Mode on Easy difficulty in 1.12. Cheating is STRICTLY prohibited! This map is suitable for both singleplayer and multiplayer, although you may experience one or two glitches in multiplayer, especially if you cheat (which, of course, you aren't supposed to, anyway.) It is highly suggested that you do NOT use Optifine...while this won't technically break the map, it disables a lighting glitch we were utilizing to make a section look awesome.
Don't rage. If you rage, it makes it easier for him to get you. Stay calm and try taking a few deep breaths...
Disclaimer:
This map has been tested countless times by multiple beta testers in both singleplayer and multiplayer scenarios. It probably goes without saying that multiplayer will most likely be more buggy (especially if you cheat--cheating in multiplayer WILL result in bugs). However, even in singleplayer, this map is very conducive to lag, and we have had a couple of lag-related bugs that we are unable to fix simply because there is technically nothing wrong.
When you run this map, we suggest that you close other programs and keep settings on fast, shorter render distance, clouds off, etc. to avoid complications. Please try to avoid using Optifine, though, as we utilize a lighting glitch in one part of the map, and Optifine disables this effect.

Thank you SOO much for posting this here! I really wasn't expecting it! Also, the map is great. It's hard, but not impossibly hard and has super cool builds and mechanics and every thing! Lastly have you tried posting this to Minecraftmaps.com, it would help your popularity a lot and I highly recommend it.
I was doing the puzzle with the wires/colored blocks, and I accidentally broke the painting with the rules on it. I tried to switch game modes to put it back so i could continue the puzzle, but it said i was "cheating" and sent me to a horror mini game? I can understand why it would think that i was cheating, but I wasn't and I was wondering if there's a way to not do the horror map? I can't do horror things ;-;
EDIT: Is there any way to pick up where I left off and not redownload the map? I spent a lot of time on it, and I don't really want to do it again. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely fell in love this map as soon as I started playing it, I just don't want to lose my place because I was trying to put the rules back on the wall.

You could finish the horror section then just use this video to finish the wires puzzle without the rules:
btw, the horror map isn't very scary. At least in my opinion.
Hello so... I was in the cave part, when you gota make a Jump bust II potion and i.. Fail and now i cant continue, i try to get in Gamemode 1 to put the water bottles and the bunny feet i lost, but the minigame of Bongo and that (Pretty good tho) soooo, wath can i do?
You could just give your self a jump boost potion, or the necessary materials. Or you could teleport yourself up to the top with a command like /tp @a ~ ~5 ~ (I'm not sure of the exact height so you'll have to figure that out, just change the 5).
I'm stuck in the mansion part, I got the numbers but the buttons aren't labeled. I've tried everything I could think of and it doesn't work
The buttons work like any number system. 1 is at the top 12 is at the bottomYou've probably just got the code wrong. From what i remember it was First number is 10, from the crystal. Second number is 11, from the clock. Third number is 7, from the number of silver coins. Fourth number is 4, from the glass-blocked chest upstairs. Fifth number is 12, from the number of mistakes in Timmy's book.

This map is amazing! So glad I was able to beta test it. Even with the glitches and bugs through the beta testing, it was great nonetheless.
