The Sky Is Falling is a unique map in which the player must survive a lava storm of apocalyptic proportions. You have a limited amount of time to hunt & gather supplies, save your fellow humans, & any animals you can manage. This map was greatly inspired by 3 Days To Live. You have 3 levels of difficulty to choose from, depending on how experienced you think you are. Play in easy or harder. Peaceful mode will break the map.

It is so cool to finally see one of our maps played. THANK YOU! I subscribed to your channel on YouTube & am looking forward to seeing more. I can't wait to watch the next video. You are totally awesome. Again, THANK YOU! -B
I feel like this map definitely has room for some improvement, which is a good thing
For one, it could probably do without the whole super flat world generation. Maybe remove anything outside the actual border, so you feel even more enclosed.
Also, I noticed in the LP that Huges provided that it says "Creative Mode, Cheats". It'll be rather simple for someone to cheat their way through, and it is very tempting to do when it is so easy. Maybe make the map Survival with no cheats?
Finally, the lava seems to lag in all the videos I've seen. It drops the frame rates significantly... You might be able to keep true to the title, but change it from lava to tons of gravel/sand/blocks that fill up from the sky? Idk. Maybe even water. Just seems very laggy with the lava. You could also lower the level that the lava is being dropped from.
Again, I think this is a promising map, and I can't wait to see what updates you guys come up with
I'll check it out in a future upgrade.
LOL. Too funny. This is an improvement on a map we love called 3 Days To Live. In that map it was empty outside the tank & we fixed that because we wanted distractions for people to look at. Flat worlds are less MB. Since you suggested getting rid of everything outside the tank, why would we want a non flat world? That makes no sense. It HAS to be lava. That's kind of the whole trip. Water wouldn't destroy anything or burn down the trees & it would be almost as laggy. You could also use that water to grow crops after, the lava destroys your water source & makes for dry soil. Sand also wouldn't destroy anything, nor would gravel. Plus with gravel you'd get flint. There would be air pockets to breathe while harvesting wood that wasn't destroyed. I don't see the threat. As for the cheating, a map locked in survival can easily be switched to creative by opening the map on a server & switching it. There's really no such thing as a locked map. Our map does start in survival & you would have to cheat to change that. People who cheat their way through a map are only cheating themselves. That's really on them. People doing a walk through often switch into creative to avoid a 10 hour video. I think the lava lag could be attributed to the screen recorder being used. All computers handle Minecraft differently, that's for sure. If you actually play the map & it's a problem, you could always try lowering your view distance. The tank isn't very large & you don't have to see very far. There most likely won't be updates since the map is just how we want it. The original is 3 Days To Live, we saw room for improvement & we made it happen. I suppose you could make a sand trap or waterfall version with nothing to look at outside in a non flat world & call it 'No Real Danger Coming' or 'Forever To Live'. I'm happy with this map though, THANKS! -B
Hi there, I made a video about this map years ago but changing my name on here deleted all my posts so I thought I would go back & re-post the ones I can:
WOW! I remember you doing this years ago! I watched it on YouTube & hoped you would try to finish it someday. I wanted to see you complete all 3 lists. I also thought you might do better & enjoy it more if you weren't so tired. I would like to let you know that just finding the water is not making it secure and safe from the lava. Same with the animals & crops. You have to actually prevent the destruction of these items from the impending doom. I really hope you try to conquer all 3 lists and I would love to watch you do it. I really enjoyed watching you tackle our map. I want to see you kick it's ass! -B
P.S. There are no mistakes, everything is as it should be. The silverfish are there to torment you. Cobblestone is limited for a reason. Enjoy!
