I'm sorry, I can't tell very much from that crashlog, how long has this been going on?
It appears that the game is trying to look at a tile entity (something related to a command block though it doesn't give the coordinates) then crashing when something about the lookup fails. Which is weird because generally if the game can't find an entity it just ignores it. I have not seen a crash like this reported before...if you want to turn on command output log next time you play send me that log when it happens. it might tell me more.

By the way, I recommend sending latest.log (or fml-client-latest.log or fml-server-latest.log if using Forge) as those would contain more info than crash reports. Crash Report logs tend to not show every stacktrace and only just a little bit which isn't always useful.
Anywho, yea that report is pointing at a command block trying to get an entity from the world and then crashing without really saying why cuz "java.lang.Error" isn't useful info at all. In the end though, it's really hard to debug crashes caused by command blocks. At least it is for me.

so everyone, idea: I am changing the system next update so that you can use all 4 armor upgrade materials in any order and can only use them twice. This is better then the current system I think which is a little different and allows you to overuse certain materials.
While I'm doing this I did have an idea. Do you think that in addition to armor points your chestplate should acquire higher levels of protection as you upgrade your armor? I don't do this right now just give armor points no protection enchants. It would only be on the chestplate if I did it as that is the biosuit piece responsible for armor. The others do other things.
If I do it I was thinking 1 level of protection every 2 armor points up to protection V at lvl 10 armor
this change might help some of you guys that aren't used to shields or are less aware stay alive a bit more. I have no intention of letting you get as good as full prot IV diamond armor though as I think that is boring. Which is the reason I did the armor this way over vanilla
here is the current math for how armor points in space expedition contribute to your protection, and it isn't my fault it is weirdly nonlinear. Just the way the game is.
for an incoming damage of 1 here are the following damage reductions based on your armor rating:
the main advantage of the protection enchant is it is not reduced by high damage attacks though. the armor's protection of 78% at level 10 goes down significantly from more powerful attacks being as low as 60% for a hit of 10 and 40% for a hit of 20.
each protection level (if I added it) would add 4% of extra protection that was not reduced by the power of the attack. So after the change a hit of 1 at the new level 10 would only do 0.02 damage, a hit of 10 would do 2 damage, and a hit of 20 would do 8 damage.

so no one wants extra protection for the armor upgrades?
I am going to have to assume you don't care about the suggested feature unless you someone comments.
It would be nice to have a bit more back and forth as I work on these expansions. If you have a suggestion or a bug report please let me know. The map won't get better otherwise and this is the time to make them! And there are enough videos it is getting hard to watch them all so don't count on me hearing every comment you guys make in your videos. I will try to watch most of them though.

actually upgrades to the ship that you can craft are planned in the next expansion! I guess we think alike! So not a dumb idea This is also part of the storyline because you need to craft upgrades and repair your ship to beat the game since the meteor shower broke it remember? Starting next expansion we'll really start adding more to the plot and story.

I wrote about my adventures on the Alpha version of the OathBros/Caplex Build Team's map Space Expedition in my blog! (Discontinued)
For my experiences of the Beta versions of that same map, I started a YouTube series, which (due to prior knowledge from the Alpha) ended up being very fast paced and highly focused on showing off as much of the custom stuff as I can.
Akitori, I've enjoyed watching your modded series yes, I'm glad OldOne got the map working with forge! And in answer to your open question today:
I don't generally gripe at players for cheating. It's your game, do whatever you want. I would say you'll lose part of the experience if you cheat items and recipes that you haven't earned but using gm3 to look for hidden areas is your choice or tp to other players to save time is not that game-breaking. It is your choice how you play in the end.
Steve, there is lots to do during winter it is just more dangerous. I wouldn't go exploring too much due to the suit's regeneration system problem unless you make some potions, but you can definitely hunt some of the mobs and figure out their drops, you can build your base, mine, etc. A lot of winter mobs have valuable drops that you will want. Also using the bed already does skip the night, but I can't have it skip whole days or players could just sleep the entire winter and miss the season. Night during winter is whenever the moon is moving overhead. As soon as the first hint of sunrise appears (the pink) the moon and sun stop as the sun never completely rises on winter days. During winter days you can sleep for regen but can't skip the entire day for the reason I gave above. Make sense?
If you have updated to 1.4, one of the changes is that any animal you tame is safe to enter the ship. (cats, wolves, llama, horse, donkey...) But Beta 1.3 and below it will kill them, so careful on those versions.
Space Expedition to EPIC 204:Go on a Space-Age Adventure to visit and explore EPIC 204, a wacky world of dense asteroids and full of alien life! Experience Custom Seasons, Weather, Over 50 new creatures, Beautiful Biomes, Alien Ruins, Dungeons, and new space age tech crafting recipes!
ok and also one last idea since some players will have a bad memory (like me) you should do something in the holodeck that tells you what your version is
Take a close look at the signs again, that's been a thing ever since Beta 1.0
As for the armor, for one more week, any of the materials can be used for any upgrade as long as you don't have the armor value that the biosuit comment and the recipe books specify yet. So in theory, it would be totally possible to upgrade your armor from 0 to 6 with nothing but chitin, yes
But as Dan mentioned a few days ago, that will change very soon. Here's some information on the Beta 1.5 system in case you're curious about some implications of the changes that will be coming next week:
Players will be able to use each material exactly twice, no matter what order you use them in. Someone with 0 armor may use 2 chitin upgrades first and still have the 2 leather upgrades open, but chitin will be locked for all future upgrades. So if you have a massive surplus of chitin or a very efficient way to farm it, but are lacking on the leather and fish scale side of things, now's the time to use that chitin!
Just keep in mind that in 1.5, the game will have no way of tracking which materials players updating from 1.4 have used in the past, so it'll have to assume that they used the lowest possible tier to unlock their armor. Basically, updating players will get the old system for any upgrades done before the update, and (after taking that previous part into consideration) the new system for future upgrades: materials that were locked out in the previous system will still be locked in 1.5, but other than that, it's all about the new rules.
For example, if someone has 3 armor when they update, they won't be able to use leather, and they only have one more chance to use fish scales, just like with the old system, even if they got all three points with chitin. So the list of remaining available upgrades for that player would be: one more fish scale, 2 chitin, and 2 shell scales. Order no longer matters, but if they want to get to max armor, they can no longer skip a material that's on their list of still available upgrades completely. They'll need all of them at some point.
Of course, all of the assumptions the system has to make for updating worlds will only be happening once per player in 1.5. In 1.6, the system will be able to check which materials someone used to upgrade their armor in 1.5!

huh, thanks for the report. I haven't ever seen him disappear before. Do you think he didn't have the persistence tag or was it something else?
ok everyone! A bug has been reported for the new winter effects!
Apparently I had it coded so that meteor showers and hailstorms could trigger at the same time. When this happens there is a chance the meteor shower will bug out and never stop dropping meteors. If this happens to you, then you can fix by running this command:
/kill @e[type=bat]
Also, I noticed that if hailstones start falling and you sprint away so that they are falling in the lazy chunks the storm won't stop till you come back, so be careful with that. Lazy chunks apparently turn off the timer I had in the storms. I'll be fixing all these issues next update and sorry for the trouble.
If you want a permanent fix to the meteor shower/hailstorm issue run this command to replace the hailstorm command block:
/setblock 4999 202 -68 command_block 0 replace {auto:0b,Command:"/execute @a[rm=100] ~ ~ ~ /execute @e[type=armor_stand,name=Control,score_Day_min=19,score_Day=25,score_Count_min=1,score_Count=9] ~ ~ ~ /setblock 5010 209 -85 redstone_block",TrackOutput:1b}

they are an alien tech device so you find the first ones in ruins then the biosuit scans them and gets the recipe.
You should have seen them in the flooded library
by the way, because of the several weather related bugs that were found this week I decided to change the download. I fixed all the weather and also implemented the new armor system which allows you to use any of the 4 basic armor upgrades twice in any order. I find this simpler then the current system. I am not going to release an expansion file for you guys until this coming weekend though as there isn't enough new stuff to justify it yet.
Here's a list of the fixes I did this week though, mainly for the weather and multiplayer, there were a few issues such as players getting struck by lightning and the bugged winter hailstorm/meteor showers.
- Bugfix: snow flurries and all other weather no longer occurs in the holodeck
- Bugfix: particle weather in multiplayer no longer creates thicker clouds of particles when players get near each other.
- Bugfix: If a sandstorm is already occurring you wonβt continue to get messages about it
- Bugfix: Storms in lazy chunks could persist and not end
- Bugfix: meteor showers and hailstorms at same time could cause the storm to not end properly
- Bugfix: flap sound could fail to turn off when you put away your elytra
- Bugfix: In multiplayer multiple random single meteors or lightning strikes could occur
- Bugfix: players could get struck by the summer lightning!
- Optimization: armor upgrade system has now been changed to allow for only 2 of each the four base armor upgrades but in any order
Here's a sneak peak for next update:
- new ship upgrades!
- A new asteroid chain and custom destination!
- custom plants to farm!
Is orange juice to powerful? Should I nerf to strength II, Speed I?

I've had that happen with the creature killer module (which worked fine for you guys from what I've heard, just like the pearls worked fine for me). The only solution I've found to my module problem was picking up a copy from the chests in the command module, that did end up triggering the comment. My bug was probably due to the fact that I started playing on the very first beta version of the map though, which was still too buggy for a public release. The first version that showed up on this thread was 1.0.2 I believe, so if anything, I would've expected to see that things that I get triggered work fine for players who started on a less buggy version.
In any case, see if picking up one of the pearls from the command module gives you the comment, if not, you'll have to wait for Dan to be free this evening.

Did my fix resolve your multiplayer glider issue?

Also glider fix worked, yay!

Just the way the game is.
for an incoming damage of 1 here are the following damage reductions based on your armor rating:
none: 0%
one: 6%
two: 14%
three: 22%
four: 30%
five: 38%
six: 46%
seven: 54%
eight: 62%
nine: 70%
ten: 78%
the main advantage of the protection enchant is it is not reduced by high damage attacks though. the armor's protection of 78% at level 10 goes down significantly from more powerful attacks being as low as 60% for a hit of 10 and 40% for a hit of 20.
each protection level (if I added it) would add 4% of extra protection that was not reduced by the power of the attack.

New episode on my series! Enjoy
I haven't posted in a while i just realized.
Hopefully you all are enjoying my videos (haven't spammed it here cause it has a playlist that i'll link here)
Dan, what do you think of your map modded? Hopefully we do your map enough justice with the small amount of mods we have installed.
Episode 9 out now!
Akitori, I've enjoyed watching your modded series yes, I'm glad OldOne got the map working with forge! And in answer to your open question today:

To be fair about the gm3 it took a metric ton of time to even try and find the frost walker and I found him regardless without cheats

Dan I'm sad to report this bug.
ME and my friend were doing the end city/underwater library area and....
somehow the elder guardian seemed to evaporate. I'm not sure what the hell happened but it seemed to up and disappear
huh, thanks for the report.
/setblock 4999 202 -68 command_block 0 replace {auto:0b,Command:"/execute @a[rm=100] ~ ~ ~ /execute @e[type=armor_stand,name=Control,score_Day_min=19,score_Day=25,score_Count_min=1,score_Count=9] ~ ~ ~ /setblock 5010 209 -85 redstone_block",TrackOutput:1b}

btw dan how do we make flying enderpearls?
they are an alien tech device so you find the first ones in ruins then the biosuit scans them and gets the recipe.
by the way, because of the several weather related bugs that were found this week I decided to change the download.
Should I nerf to strength II, Speed I?

the biosuit didn't scan the enderpearls for some reason. I have them on me. No recipe in holodeck either
