ESCAPE FROM ATHNIAS ISLAND! Minecraft Version 1.10.2
Edit: 8/5/2016 - I'm waiting to hear back from a submission, but as soon as I do I'm going to update the map with a bunch of fixes. So you can play if you want, but expect an updated map in the near future.
- One thing I'm going to add is a mob shop, so you can sell the things you pick up from hostile mobs, giving you the ability to kill mobs professionally, and allowing a renewable resource for gold nuggets (currency).
An adventure map I just barely finished for you guys!
You find your self on top of a sand pillar. Heading north, you come across what looks like an old west town. But as you start to look around, you begin to realize not everything is so simple on the surface. The citizens seem to have information on how to survive, make a living, and maybe even get off the island!
This is a rather extensive adventure map. There are many quests you can go on, and you can even barter and trade with the citizens to make a living. The main goal is to escape the island. WARNING!: Difficulty=HARD! Expect 8+ hours to complete the map! If you get stuck, feel free to comment below.
Edit (7/31/2016): by the way, I have played the map through myself so I know it's beatable; but it's much easier for me since I know it's secrets. If it does get too hard, you are allowed to switch it over to peaceful. Let alone fighting monsters, there's still a great deal of adventure even without them.
Edit: My mic wasn't set as the primary sound device so I am basically mute I have fixed the issue (hopefully) and the subsequent episodes will hopefully have commentary.

Cool! Yeah, too bad for the audio, glad you got it fixed though. It's kinda cool to watch someone else go through the map!
I played your map today. I totally derped it, but it was fun . Here is a link:

Ha ha! That was hilarious! Yeah, it's definitely a hard map, it was designed that way. When starting on the map, the first important thing to do is to rent a room at the hotel; but you will have to find a gold nugget somewhere for rent.
This is just what I needed, gonna binge on Sons of Perdition while playing this. Thanks.

A God that holds you over the pit of Hell, much as one holds a spider or some loathsome insect over the fire, abhors you, and is dreadfully provoked. - Jonathan Edwards
Also, I've found two areas that I think were supposed to be covered. One's by Happy Ben's house, and the other is at the door to the Saloon Inn. Both of those spots have a chest exposed holding a bunch of keys, and since both of those keys are gold nuggets it allows for an easy money exploit. You might want to fix these!

Keep up the great content!
Good catch! I did a round of bug fixing, but it's so easy to miss things.
I played the map fully now. I really love it! Your work and detail is really good! I also liked all the hidden things you could find if you just look around. It's an awesome adventure map!
While travelling the landscape, I kept hearing Guardian noises. I assume you started with an ocean flatland or something and then generated terrain over it. There were some areas where the underwater temples even broke through the generated map, making a weird hole of death. There isn't really an easy way to fix these other than to manually go and destroy each temple, but for future reference you should be able to turn off dungeons in the "custom" settings. This should fix the issue.
If you'd like, I can message you a diagnosis of bugs or glitches I found on the map while playing. It may help!
Keep making cool content like this! P.S. what terrain editors did you use for this project?

Thank you for your message! It is "SUPER" helpful!
The guardian temples were on purpose, because you were supposed to be able to find them as part of the dungeons, but you uncovered a bug, I forgot to make sure the sand on them couldn't cave in. I will have to add that to the list of fixes.
Any bugs you want to message me would be very much appreciated! Also, I always like to give credit to people who help me with my projects. If you help find bugs, I will list you as a contributor to this map.
