lol Apologies for dropping you in a field defenseless, in the middle of the night. I realized this problem and fixed it an hour after you downloaded the map. Players will now find it morning, giving them a chance to prepare before mobs will spawn.
The way I learned to use the Elytra was to 1) run, and 2) after jumping, keep hitting jump repeatedly. At some point you can stop, but I usually keep hitting it like a madman anyway.
There was a critical point made in the intro booklet for "The Institute" which I'm sorry that you missed. I'm sure it would have spared you some frustration.
Otherwise I think my target audience consists of people much more curious to explore the areas provided. The lack of instructional boundaries was quite intentional.
When hosting multiplayer:
The epic scenery was made with libmcmap. If you get stuck, odds are you haven't quite explored enough.
