Hello, my name is Vops and I am the proud creator of my very first and latest map called Environment Conquest. I have spent the past year and a half trying to create a new and engaging experience for Survival Minecraft players that takes on this new genre I have also created called ATB, which stands for Activate the Beacons and as you can guess, the goal is to capture all the beacons in this map.
Objective:
Find and capture 3 beacons per area. There are a total of 4 areas in the map and here are some of the screenshots of the areas you will see in this map:
Ruby Canyon:
Emerald Forest:
Snowfrost Peaks:
Sunfall Desert:
Monument Mountain:
Rules:
Survive in any way you can, this map is designed for survival based strategy however bear in mind the following constraints:
Do not leave the map boundaries
No ender chests are to be used
Beds are to be used to only set the player’s spawn, however do not sleep the night otherwise it removes the thunder storms (which spawns hostile mobs during the day) and thus ruins the gameplay component
I recommend using a high (16 chunk) render distance for this map

Environment Conquest is created by Vops,
Please do not claim Environment Conquest as your own work. However YouTube videos of this map are more than welcome and are much appreciated and if possible, please post the first episode in the comments section of this post so I can later post a list of people who played this map via YouTube.
Also as the creator of the ATB genre, anyone can most definitely create their own ATB maps! I would love to see people upload their own ATB maps as long as it’s their own works and nothing is copied from my map, apart from the Redstone which I give permission for people to replicate it. I’ll try and post a YouTube tutorial on how you can re-create these capture beacons into your own map for the map maker’s convenience. I’ll update this post with this tutorial video once I’ve made it…
Please report any bugs with this map as it’s currently in v1.0

Played (Or else said cheated ) the whole map, it looks awesome! . The ending though, is a little.. abrupt. I recommend you make some kind of ending thing, people love cool endings. (P.S: I love your avatar )

That's great to hear! Yeah i'll be honest with you, the ending should've been a little more satisfying like maybe having a firework display at the end. I just didn't have the time to do all that and I mainly focused on the level design and game-play aspects, so it's really awesome to hear that! Thank you
And I don't mind if people cheat in this map, like if they find the keepInventory false rule too brutal for them, they can always change it if they wanted too, anything that makes the game more fun for them. But this map is best played without any cheats, I've beaten this map without them so it's not like it's impossible or anything. And just a recommendation with the food, make farms and keep an eye out for chests as they most likely contain food items.
This map just reached over +50 Downloads the other day, just want to thank everyone who has played this map and I hope you all had such wonderful experiences trying something new and something that's never been done before!
This map is boring. Sry. ._. Most boring map ever played.
Can you at least justify why you found it boring? Like can you at least consider any criticism you found in this map worth sharing rather than just evaluating the entire 1.5 year map project as the "most boring map ever played"? Here are some questions to consider:
1. What exactly didn't you like about my map? Did you find it challenging or easy? 2. What are some of the positive aspects of this map? Do you like the capture point system (aka the ATB genre) or the landscape?
1. It is too boring for me because I just had to run around in the wild desert with too many monsters (Which weren't rly modified.) and find the beacons. I can't imagine, how it'd be if I chose the farmer kit. I wouldn't be able to farm neither fight the monsters...it had a survive aspect but I felt like I was too weak to fight against the monsters and to run around, capture the beacons so I deleted the world. There could be more mechanics/details/monsters/structures on the map, I think.
2. What I did like about this map was the fact that it looked really wild and there were some kits. The capture point system was good but sometimes the beacon was in a really open area,so there was no challenge to capture it. There could be more...
I am a map maker by the way. ^^

Hey, thank you so much for your criticism this time, I just really didn't like how your first comment wasn't helpful at all but this time you've given me some good feedback for me to learn from. However let me explain your flaws to your comment:
I'm guessing your first choice you got was Sunfall Desert? You see, there's a random factor at the very start of the game where you randomly teleport to a different place, so the next time you play it again, it'll take you somewhere else (and hopefully not the same place) If this map is still in your recycling bin, restore it and try it again. I can assure you, there are some really unique places that you've never explored and if you've deleted the map because of that one area of the map, that's not really a fair way to review a map isn't it? You would've had to have played the whole map to actually say if the entire experience was boring or not because I can only see one part of the map been boring, not the rest. This map is typically aimed for hardcore survival players, which I'm guessing isn't your play-style?
I'll admit, I'm a little bit disappointed with the outcome of Sunfall Desert since it's the only area in the map that hasn't got many custom monsters or structures in it so I can agree why players would consider that area to be "boring", fair enough.
And another thing, look at Dark Souls. A lot of players do run around from the monsters because you're typically too weak to fight them, so why can't this map mimic this sort of mechanic? I do like games where you're constantly on your toes, so it's a matter of opinion I guess and you're opinion is totally valid and yours. So i'm sorry if I'm trying to argue about it, I'm just really curious that's all and also curious what kind of maps you make
Hello I made a video about your map,I hope you enjoy it.
Hey, thank you so much Hughes5! I'm happy to let you know that you're the first person to make a video about my map! I watched the whole video and I just gotta say, you have such a great talent for reading descriptions (at the start of the video) Jokes aside, this is one of the coolest things you've ever done and words can't describe how thankful I am! So once again, thank you! I'll always remember this video
Well than throughout all the time I've been doing this I don't think I've ever had that much of a thank you before, good work on the map & with out people like you making these maps my channel may not be where it is today with out them so thank you for that.
You're more than welcome! And wishing you the very best of support for your unknown map series!!
Hi there, I made a video about this map years ago but changing my name on here deleted all my posts so I thought I would go back & re-post the ones I can:

This looks really good, I am bad at survival though.
Good luck with getting lots of popularity!

I made this for Minecraft 1.9.4, I haven't actually tested it if it plays well on 1.10, but you can always try it and let me know
