If you build a nether portal anywhere in your world you should end up in the nether shop. If somehow you dont, build the portal near the spawn island and you will for sure spawn in the shop. It should be clear where to put the key once you're there! Thanks!
Which version of minecraft should I play this map on? I have been playing for a while, and no mob was spawning at all (I'm playing on easy difficulty)
I played for a while now, and so far it's very well done and contains so many surprise lol. I won't spoil anything
My recommendation is to put some more instructions either in game or in the description above about what version of minecraft to use, what difficulty you recommend, what not to do during the gameplay, and also list of challenges! I know list of challenges sounded so redundant and people might already have their own challenge but there is nothing wrong with adding your own list of challenges that you want people to experience since this map is unique. Is the "attached quest" something that awaits me, or is there something I missed?
And also, what do you mean by [New] Skylands Survival [New] ? is this an improved version of existing Skyland Survival map? If not, then I think you need a name that makes your map unique haha. If this is indeed an improved version of existing map then don't mind my post
As in the title, the minecraft version is 1.9. The mob spawning is indeed off, which shouldn't be, and I'll work on it now. (You can change this by using /gamerule doMobSpawning true). I had turned this off whilst building but forgot to change it back. The list of challenges is in the zip you downloaded (it should be!). And the [new] is simply because the map is not even 1 day old. After a few days I'll remove it from the title ^.^ Oh and the difficulty is all up to you! Ill try add some options in the next update, coming this week!

This looks interesting... Think I'll try it out. By the way, the map is in a .rar file which might be hard to open for some people.
EDIT: The quests file is a word doc ._. which I don't have. You might want to make it Notepad or something like that. Ill just play without quests for now.
Ah yes I shall turn of the command block output by default! Ill also try convert the quest list in a notepad file. Lastly I shall try fix the farmer, but don't worry, you wont miss out on much as the farmer is not that important (ill try to make him more useful in the future)
Well you ar enot obliged to bring them back, its optional. Its similar to a normal survival map. I'll make it so that all animals which you bring through the nether will be teleported with you to the hub, then when you leave the hup they should follow to the portal closest to the island. the ocelot eggs are hidden on a island! The "spawn" eggs are supposed to spawn cows, but they probably have some data tag - issues. Ill fix it too!
Wow already 70 downloads in just a few days! I was hoping for maybe 10 downloads but you guys have truly amazed me! Thanks for all the support everyone!
I had a bug severe enough I felt it was permissible to cheat to get out of it.
My wife and I are playing together through "open to LAN".
I built my first Nether portal on the pad of slabs I built under the Desert temple island (thanks for that surprise, jerk!
When we went through the portal, we wound up in the Nether Hub just fine, and were able to unlock the first two shops.
But coming _back_ through the portal, the game generated a new Overworld portal far to the East of my base, waaaay up in the air. We didn't have enough blocks to build back to a platform, so I had to enter Creative and fly home.
I don't know what can be done about it, without forcing the player to build the Overworld portal in a particular place, but maybe a word of warning to bring blocks might be a good idea.
We are really enjoying this map. Thank you so much for the fun and all your hard work.
I doubt you are still playing the map (sorry for not responding ) but it's on the nether island. It's hidden really well so try checking out even under the lava!
This is by far the nicest comment i've read! I really enjoyed creating the map and tried my best to make it flawless (took me a lot of tries to even get it playable though). Haven't worked on the map for more than half a year because i was busy with school, but chances are i'll do a big update soon! As for the nether portal, thanks for pointing it out! Don't think I can hardfix that (have the player always return to the correct portal) but ill try to use a trick to fix it. Are you guys playing? If so, I'm amazed! Even if you haven't been playing it anymore recently, I'd love to see what you 2 have created! And more feedback and criticism (or suggestions, of course!) are welcome!!

Can anyone tell me where the shop key to the "Brewer" is?
