Hey guys, Isaac_John here. After almost two years of off and on work on this map (because of computer problems and school), it's finally done! So, before you scroll down to the download section of this thread, there's a few important things you have to know:
1. As you can see by the title of this map (Assassin's Creed: Reclaiming A Kingdom) you may think it is based off of the Assassin's Creed video games. ONLY the names of the fictional characters (like Altair, Armand, Knight's Templar, etc.) are basically the same as the videogames. The plot, dialogue, and setting of this minecraft map is NOT based off of the videogames! So, please don't comment after playing the map saying, "This is not at all like the videogames!!" because it isn't supposed to be. It's are own version of Assassin's Creed. Thanks for understanding!
2. If you find anything that you think is an error in the map, please comment below so we can correct it right away! This is one of the first versions of the map so please expect some faults in the map.
Now, let's get on with what this map is about!
After your previous escapades, you, Altair the Assassin, decide to settle down for awhile. You decide to pay your keep at Old Kepler's Farm on the outskirts of The Kingdom of Henry III. For a few months you live peacefully. But then, one day, you receive an urgent message from King Henry III that changes everything...
The Knight's Templar after leaving a trail of ruin and terror through many other provinces, has now overthrown King Henry III's Kingdom, capturing the King himself and many others who resisted The Templar. Now it is up to you to purge the evil that has invaded this land and rescue the King!
You start off on Old Kepler's Farm about to leave for the Kingdom of Henry III. Once you reach the Kingdom you will enter the Pub (base of operations) where you will begin your quest to save the Kingdom.
In the Pub there will be:
1. The Mission Select Room (Here is where you begin your missions. There are 10 missions in all. Before you start each mission there will be a letter from the King telling you who to assassinate or what objective to complete in the mission. As you complete each mission you will unlock the next mission and gain a reward, also, you will get closer and closer to saving the King and defeating the evil master of the Templar: Armand Bouchart.)
2. The Shop (Here you can buy armor, weapons, and other items. Exchange with the Trader gold nuggets (that you find in the missions) to get diamonds which you can use to purchase the items of your choice from the Shop Owner.)
3. The Upper Level (Here you can store your most precious items or throw away the ones you don't need. Also, you can teleport to the Mission Select Room from here.)
4. The Lower Level (Get free food from the Pubtender and just come down here to relax. Also, the Shop is down here.)
I know you may want to skim past this part, but this is the most important portion of the thread! So please read.
1. You must keep your render distance at or above 10 chunks! (I would highly recommend higher than 10 if your computer can handle it. Also, in the 4th and 10th mission you will have to have your render distance at around 15!)
2. Play on minecraft 1.8! (This map will not work on 1.7 or lower! Also, this map does not work in 1.9, yet.)
3. You must be in Adventure mode (/gamemode a) at all times EXCEPT for when the game turns you to a different gamemode.
4. You must play this map singleplayer! (It just got too complicated to make this map multiplayer, I'm really sorry guys.)
5. In Minecraft's Music and Sounds settings, you must have the Jukebox/Noteblocks setting set at 100%!
There are many various and fun items spread throughout the map and in the shop. Here are just some of them separated into categories.
Main Items (not found in the Shop):
= This is a special weapon that must be used sparingly and only when needed. To use scroll over the sheath and it will automatically change (unsheathe) into the powerful Hidden Blade! But, you can only use the Hidden
Blade for a short amount of time before it runs out and "turns" back into the sheath.
= Altair's famous hood. Not used so much for protection but more for secrecy...
Bonus Items (Find these items in the missions and Pub):
= Gold Nuggets are scattered around the Kingdom in the missions and Pub. Use Gold Nuggets to buy Diamonds in the Shop.
= You can trade in 10 Gold Nuggets for a Diamond with the Trader in the Shop. Once you have enough diamonds you can buy the item of your choice in the Shop!
= Search for Orbs in each mission. Once you find enough, you will be able to unlock cool things...
= If you accomplish a great feat or help someone out (side-quests) you will gain one of these Stars.
= There are 9 easter eggs cleverly hidden throughout the missions. Can you find them all?
Shop Items (Buy these items in the Shop):
= The Swift Axe is a mystical weapon forged from pure iron that gives whoever wields it adrenaline to overcome its foe.
= Qulan Gal's Bow was crafted by Qulan himself. Qulan with a sharp eye killed Genghis Khan's horse with this special bow. Made of the finest oak, it is suitable for long range shots that will take out your enemy.
There are many more Shop items you can buy including armor and accessories! These weapons above are just a small sample of what's to come...
Now, before you eagerly click open that spoiler to reveal the pictures, I'm warning you it might spoil some of the map for you!

Yes! You've reached the download section! You're probably tired out from reading all that information above or... you just skipped to the download section because you didn't have time to read the other stuff or you were just too lazy.
Well, no matter what here's the downloads:
1. IMPORTANT: There is a minecraft glitch that when you die some of the mobs will disappear and then re-appear a little bit later, so if you don't see a mob just run backwards until he appears.
2. All the missions are re-playable! Which means everything will reset when you finish a mission. So after playing a mission you can play it again if you want to collect any items you missed or just want to have some more fun.
Youtube Permissions:
For all you Youtube lets-players out there, you can of course record yourself playing my map, but there's a few things you should do along with that. Just copy and paste this text into the description of your lets-plays (at least put the link to the map if for some reason you can't put all of the details):
Q: The Pirate Captain doesn't spawn in Mission 4: Pirates!. Help!
A: Make sure your render distance is set at 15before starting the mission. If not, the Pirate Captain won't spawn. If you already had your render distance at 15 and the Pirate Captain still didn't spawn, you either forgot to go up on the pirate ship's mast (to trigger the Pirate Captain to appear on the very back of the ship) or the Pirate Captain is invisible because of a minecraft error. If you think it's because of the minecraft error (and you already climbed up the mast to trigger him), go up to the back of the ship (where he should be) and wander around until he appears and/or starts hitting you. If he still doesn't appear, let me know.
Q: How do I find the Key to the Battlements in The Tutorial Mission? I've looked everywhere!
A: You have to click all the buttons that are beside the orange tulips in the North Tower (on the Battlements). Once you click all three buttons by the three orange tulips it will unlock a chest on the top level of the North Tower. The Key to the Battlements is in there.
Q: How do I cook the truffle in Mission 2: The Banquet? I put it in the oven, but it still won't cook!
A: After you put the (uncooked) truffle in the top part of the oven, make sure to put 1 piece of Fire Wood in the bottom slot of the oven. Then it should cook the truffle making the item a "Cooked Truffle". If you've done this already and it doesn't work, please let me know. Also, for clarification, the oven is to the left of the blender.
Q: How do I find the Pirate Captain in Mission 4: Pirates? I've looked everywhere!
A: After jumping on the "wisps" to get to the Pirate Ship the chat gives you a hint that says, "Find a place where you can see the Pirate Captain then fight him (Hint: Go up high)!" Now, I bet you've scoured the ship looking high and low for him and you still can't find him! Well, the hint (go up high) is referring to climbing up the Pirate Ship's rigging. The rigging you need to climb is right near the last jump you made to land on the Pirate Ship. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's the rigging with a sign that says "If you lose your Hidden Blade, click here!" and has a button to get another Hidden Blade. Once you've found the rigging (made of fences) start climbing up it. Climb all the way up until see a sign that says, "-Stand Here!-". Stand where it says to. It should trigger some text that shows you where the Pirate Captain is. He is on the back of the ship surrounded by his pirates. Go up there and fight him!
~Over time there will probably be more questions/answers in this section~
Comment on the thread if you have any questions that weren't answered in this section, comments, suggestions, or complaints. Just please keep it clean! Also, at the end of the map there is a Mapmaker's Room where you can ask the mapmakers questions. Just comment below your question to the specified mapmaker (ex. Isaac_John or Sir_Richard99) along with your minecraft name and it will probably be put in the map and in this section!
Donations:
If you clicked the download button above, you may have noticed the link didn't first send you to adf.ly or another add site before it sent you to the download. That's because I don't like the way those sites work and they sometimes confuse the downloader on what to download. So please if you feel like giving something you can give directly to my PayPal account. If you don't feel like giving or can't that's totally fine. I know I would probably want to keep my hard earned money, so I'd understand if you'd want to too! Here's the PayPal link just in case you want to donate:
This is where a few select Reviews and Lets-Plays will be! You may have noticed I said "a few select" in the last sentence. I will only pick reviews and lets-plays that are (1) entirely family friendly (no profanity, God's name in vain, etc., this is referring mostly to lets-plays), and (2) that I really enjoy! But remember, you can always post your video(s) on this thread, and, if the video agrees with what I said above, I will put it in this section!

The map was very good, but there were a few things that could be better. It was mostly fun, with occasional tiny lapses. The design was very well made, although I would have filled up some places with a little more than just trees and houses of similar looks. The map was very unique, but I had to dock points because of the whole Assassin's
Creed theme (this theme has been used lots of times). It was well balanced difficulty-wise and the story was enticing. The map was smooth, and I enjoyed playing this map.
Congratulations, this is a very good map. I have recommended it to all of my friends, and I think you did a great job on it!
Make more maps in the future, I think this is just the start of a legendary map creator.
Lets-Plays (so far):
Please let me know in the comment section below if you've made a lets-play and I will for sure take a look at it!
You have reached the section that I'm guessing you will take a fleeting glance at. But please don't! This section is so important. Without these people this map would have never seen the light of day... So PLEASE at least read through it and maybe check out the links to what they've made or their profiles. Thanks!
Creations used with permission:
oakley09 = The City of Arthor. The Kingdom and its surroundings. Without this guy's creation this map would have never been possible. Please go check out his stuff, he's made some really awesome things!
The Parting Glass sung by The High Kings. Song played during the Credits (in the map).
(For youtubers, if you want to be safe, paste this command into the chat box before stepping on the starting pressure plate [for Mission 2 and the Bonus Mission] to disable the music. To enable the music paste this command into the chat box.)
People who worked on the map in some way:
Isaac_John = Builder, Redstoner, Constructor of Plots, Captain of Tellraw, and Resource Pack Maker.
Sir_Richard99 = Builder, Scoreboard Maker, Redstoner, Builder of Plots and a lot of other stuff!
Futureinventor = Helped make most of the resource pack, gave us (Isaac_John and Sir_Richard99) great ideas, and built some things in the map.
And that's about all! Before I end this thread, I just want to say our team (who worked on the map) could not have done this without God's help. This is a favorite verse of mine:
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the
Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the
weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired
and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the
LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Yeah, this past year I've been really busy with school, so that's why I've been so inactive on here. Over Christmas break though I'll have more time to go on!
Update (v1.2): I fixed an error in Mission 2: The Banquet. You could not give the merchant his watch in exchange for a Star (side-quest). A hopper clock wasn't working correctly. But I fixed it! If you are playing in v1.1, paste this command into the chat box and press enter to get the Star:
/give @p minecraft:nether_star 1 0 {display:{Name:"-Star-",Lore:["Collect them all!"]}}
Also, I fixed a spelling error on one of the signs (in the Tutorial Mission).
Thanks to DragonMania17 for notifying me of the merchant's watch error!
-Changed a certain hopper triggering on the road in the Tutorial Mission.
-Changed the text "4 hours later..." to "1 hour later..." in the Tutorial Mission (more logical).
-Changed the -Battlements- sign to have a clearer meaning of where to go next (in the Tutorial Mission); up the Battlements, not along the side of the Battlements.
-Changed hopper triggering the Guards (when on the way to the Pub) to cover a wider radius and also changed some other little things (in the Tutorial Mission).
-Improved the Shop by fixing "block cannot be placed" error when clicking on the Product Details too many times.
-Abbes Sofian appears now and also has a custom player head (in Mission 1: A Friend?).
All the errors above I found because of Foxtiq's video of my map. Thanks for making me recognize these errors through your video!
The errors that I fixed below (and improvements I made) were made known to me by DragonMania17. Thanks for all your help, keep it up!
-Made the Pirate Captain more challenging to fight (added resistance and a tad bit more speed) in Mission 4: Pirates!
-Made sign before starting mission to say raise render distance to 15 or more for Mission 4: Pirates!
-Fixed the side-quest in Mission 6: The Watchtower. When chopping down acacia wood for the side-quest it wouldn't drop the wood as an item. But it's now fixed.
-Improved the Gardener's son's dialogue in Mission 8: William of Montferrat.
-Made "Tips" easier to identify (when customers give them to you) by changing them to a different item (not gold nuggets) in Mission 8: William of Montferrat.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-Fixed the error when unlocking Mission 10: The Dissolution. It would instead unlock Mission 9: The Choice again. Error found by Fireblazer043.
-Improved unlocking missions mechanics.
-Added gamerule improvements. Thanks to Rsdg for telling me to improve this.
And that's about all. Lots of little details were improved and errors corrected.
-Changed Rules section to agree more with the map. Render distance is supposed to be around 15 for missions 4 and 10.
-Added credit (in the Credits section) for the song used in Mission 2: The Banquet. Beautiful classical song by George Handel (1685-1759).
-Improved Youtube Permissions section by adding the links to the creators and creations. Remember, if you want to do a lets-play on the map you MUST credit the creators and creations in the description of your video (and also put a link to the map). Also, please post your lets-plays on this thread, I'd love to see them!
I know this isn't an update for the map, but if you find an error in the map or have a question about the map please let me know as soon as possible. I really don't want people playing through the map and then having to stop (or start over) because of an error. Thanks!
Thanks so much for making a video! I will correct the errors you found in the map so far (like jumping over the fence to get out of Old Kepler's Farm).
About the render distance... I've had some problems with it before (when making my first adventure map) so I didn't want anything to go wrong with it in this map. That's why I had a set render distance (10) that I knew would work because I tested the map with render distance on 10, etc.
After I watched your video, I played through some of the map on render distance 2 just to see if everything would still work. I found out most of the redstone works, but for some reason some important setblock commands don't work (it says "cannot place blocks outside of this world"). So I would still recommend playing on at least render distance 10! Otherwise certain dialogues, etc. probably won't work. Just a warning.
Thanks again for playing my map, and can't wait to see more!
Awesome map! Great so far. But I have some trouble: What is the command to spawn the pirate captain in mission 4? I did not put my render distance to 15 and the pirate captain did not spawn. If you can't get the command, then just give me the coordinates to the pub and I will play it over again. Thanks for your help!

Would you mind playing it over again, if it's not too much trouble? Because if I gave you the command to spawn in the captain it might mess up some other mechanics.
Here's the teleportation command to the Pub:
/tp @p -563 76 1630
Also, when you play this mission again, to make sure the redstone will work, wait a little bit (to make sure the chunks load) before stepping on the pressure plate that triggers The Captain of the trade ship who dies right away.
Glad you're liking the map so far, and I hope you enjoy the rest of it! If you have any other questions that come up, let me know.

-Before, you could jump over certain fences around Old Kepler's Farm to get out (in Tutorial Mission). Fixed so now you can't get out that way (can only get out when Old Man Kepler cuts through the tree that's in the path).
-Added signs in the Shed to let you know where your gear is (in Tutorial Mission).
-Fixed certain mechanics when jumping off of the Watchtower into the haybales below (in Tutorial Mission).
-Fixed error (wouldn't get a Star) when jumping onto a tree to gain a Star, near the road (in Tutorial Mission).
Most of these errors were made known to me through Yikonika's video of my map.

Creations used with permission:
oakley09 = The City of Arthor. The Kingdom and its surroundings. Without this guy's creation this map would have never been possible. Please go check out his stuff, he's made some really awesome things!
BrauhausDerHoffnung = Beautiful Sailship. Trade Ship in Mission 4. This is an amazingly designed ship, please check it out!
ka2stgo = Battle Ship. Pirate Ship in Mission 4. This ship is so uniquely designed. It deserves to be looked at, please give it a click.
Music used in the map:
Sonata in G Minor, Movement 3. Composed by George Handel (1685-1759). Used in Mission 2.
Ar Eirinn Ni Neosfainn Ce Hi (Gaelic Song) sung by Maria McCool. Used in the first ending cutscene (in the Bonus Mission).
Light Thought var 1 by Kevin Macleod (incompetech.com). Used in the second ending cutscene (in the Bonus Mission).
Clear Waters by Kevin Macleod (incompetech.com). Used in the third ending cutscene (in the Bonus Mission).

Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the
weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired
and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the
LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
YESS I'VE BEEN SO HYPED FOR THISSS
Haven't seen you in a while
Yeah, this past year I've been really busy with school, so that's why I've been so inactive on here. Over Christmas break though I'll have more time to go on!
Small Update (v1.1): In Mission 4: Pirates! I Fixed the Hint Book that couldn't be written in.
Also, I fixed a spelling error on one of the signs (in the Tutorial Mission).
Thanks to DragonMania17 for notifying me of the merchant's watch error!
Huge Update (v1.3):
Improved Post:
Detailed and good!
Would you mind playing it over again, if it's not too much trouble? Because if I gave you the command to spawn in the captain it might mess up some other mechanics.
Here's the teleportation command to the Pub:
Also, when you play this mission again, to make sure the redstone will work, wait a little bit (to make sure the chunks load) before stepping on the pressure plate that triggers The Captain of the trade ship who dies right away.
Glad you're liking the map so far, and I hope you enjoy the rest of it! If you have any other questions that come up, let me know.
Thanks so much!
Thank you! I couldn't have done it without all the people who made this map possible (mentioned in the credits section of the thread)!
OH MY GOD IT CAME OUT! I NEVER CHECKED THE FORUMS DAMNN IT!
You have to click all the buttons that are beside the orange tulips in the watchtower (North Tower). Once you click all three buttons by the three orange tulips it will unlock a chest on the top level of the watchtower (North Tower). The Key to the Battlements is in there.
*EDIT* Oh, ok!
I got mixed up as well. The oven is the one with the sign. Next to the blender.
After you put the (uncooked) truffle in the top part of the oven, make sure to put 1 piece of Fire Wood in the bottom slot of the oven. Then it should cook the truffle making the item a "Cooked Truffle". If you've done this already and it doesn't work, please let me know. Also, like spider7550 said, the oven is to the left of the Blender. Sorry that it may seem confusing.
New Update (v1.4):
*EDIT
-Added some questions and answers in The Q&A Section on the map thread.
