Hey MCF, amature mapmaker and crappy survival player Cjslick here.
I'm not nessecarily a popular map maker (who am I kidding, you don't even know me), but I think this map deserves some recognition for the amount of hard work I've put into it:
88% of this map was built by hand (the other 12% being by commands) and even tested. It took a total of 8 days, (Really I started making this about 2 months ago, but some of you here may be aware of the struggles of a man taking post-secondary education) to map and build overall, including rigging command blocks and scoreboards.
This was built with alot of snapshot items, this includes all of the new command block features, which there are little to no indepth tutorials on using the new command block functions on the wiki.
This project I made was initially started 2 years ago, but I lost all of the data from it because my laptop crashed. I've been unable to play minecraft for 2 years (So it's not like I haven't been putting it off.)
Despite this, I finally present what I hope to be the best final product I can make. Thus, Minecart Madness came to be:

Enough of my moaning though, its time to get to the knitty gritty;
While near "Supply Boxes" you recieve a mix of regenration, fire resistance, and regular resistance. They will remain on you for 3 seconds after leaving the general vicinity of these monstrocities.
These are the 6 Classes you can choose from in game:
Recon: Fast moving, objective minded melee artists gracefully prance and leap through the battlefield wreaking havoc.
Stalwart: Armed to the gills, this diamondclad warrior soaks damage like a sponge and keeps on kicking. However, great armor comes with great setbacks.
Arson: A master of pyromancy, this pyromaniac compliments any team with the ability to set enemies ablaze, making them scramble to the nearest lake.
Sharpshooter: Using only a bow, the sharpshooter can help punch a hole through armor, but almost any other class can punch a hole through him.
Alchemist: Using specalized arrows, this alchemist can heal and buff allies, but also mark out enemies so that the team can see them, all while using one bow with the power of infinity.
Cloaker: Now you see him, now you don't. Cloakers can dissapear eight times without a trace. Weilding one of the deadliest melee weapons above all, comes at the great price of vulnerability.
One player must join blue and select a class in order for the game to begin, and in order for the game to completely work as designed.
Blue has 2 minutes to get ready for the match. So any camping spots you may like or anything else you'll want to do, now's the time to do it. The cart is summoned when 2 minutes end and red is released from their little shelter.
While no points are captured, blue can quickly advance to the front lines by means of the tunnel near the spawn providing quick access, however as red captures points, those enterances are blocked.Blue has two separate tunnel exits they can use, meaning there are two points. However, Blue doesn't nessecarily have to use this tunnel, and blue isn't the only team with increased mobility. Red and Blue can use all sorts of secret paths and tunnels without much backtracking and additional effort, only if they use them properly and time their movement perfectly to intercept an enemy, or enemies.
If Blue holds the cart from reaching the drop zone, then Blue wins, otherwise, when the cart gets to the drop zone, Red wins. When the round is over, all teams are emptied, all players are killed and cleared of their inventory and the vicious cycle starts again. (No need to reinstall the map to play it again!)
It's not really a "mini"game, but more like a gamemode in and of itself.
Thread: Renamed for Clarification, Added parts to conclusion
Map: Accounted for some open areas, that should be unplayable.
Version 1.0 (Released Version)
Since they aren't stated in the game, I'll state them here, so please read.
Firstly, you need to run this game on the most recent snapshot, or 1.9 when it finally leaves the snapshot phase. The reason being:
- Shields and customizable banners.
- Tipped arrows.
- Pretty much all of the technical items in this game.
So, otherwise this game would be UNPLAYABLE.
Currently, in adventure mode (the mode the game should put you in, and you should be in as well.) you can break the carts, so for the love of god, PLEASE DO NOT break the cart with your attack key. you'll just be ruining the entire game and you'd be a real spoilsport. If this happens don't continue, just refresh the map by reinstalling it.
YOU MUST play with at least one player on each team, and YOU MUST immediately step off the stone pressure plate when joining teams, otherwise, you'll be ruining the programming the command blocks are told to execute. If you do not have at least one player registered on each team, the game will break and become unplayable.
In order for the alchemist class to work friendly fire is enabled for teams, just be aware of this, admins and players alike.
If anything breaks that isn't because of any of the following errors above, please notify me via PM so I can release a patch on the map. This also applies for areas where you can avoid dying or where you can escape the map, so please let me know directly. I do love this project as I wouldn't have remade it two years after I started it, if I didn't want it to be perfect.
Fun Facts and other misc. info:
This project used 228 Command blocks in total, and requires the use of 20 redstone blocks in varying places, simultaneously in order for things to work correctly.
Designed for around 18-28 players (Just the map, not the lobby.)
There's lots of tall grass, yet not a single dandelion.
It's based on a rural uprising to an expanding industrialist empire.
Red and Blue are some pretty basic colors, so I mean, come on, it's not like I'm going to ditch them for two other crappy colors.
The Cloaker isn't based off of one of the specalized cops in Payday 2 (I checked to make sure, don't want copywright infringement.)
Indefinietly based off of TF2 (So because it's based off a successful game, of course this map begs for instant attention, right? Guys?)
There's a meme on one of the signs in the map.
Hard to find easter egg? Yes... Two? Probably...
Please write any suggestions or comments that you'd like to add for the game, or perhaps if you want to see me make another map!
If you're interested in this map, subscribe to the post and click that Up Button when you want to recieve updates on its progress.
Simply put, download the map, play it with friends and if you want, invite me along too! I'd love to see people enjoying playing it (especially with me).If you want to play with me just PM me on the forums. If you're really going to go through with it, I'll tell you if I can meet up with you or not (I really would love to, but I got a busy life and college career). If you record on YouTube, mention me by either clicking the credits button or say my name in the video, also link me the video, I'd love to see what you like and dislike so I can improve it in future versions, or if you want me to make other projects!
Thanks for taking a gander, now push that cart, soldier!
