If you still want to play the old version of Block Effect, see below:
It is a custom puzzle map where the object is to get through 10 levels by using effects you get from wool blocks. Each block you get provides a different effect onto you. But you can only keep one effect at a time!

Check me out at www.youtube.com/pheonixdeath1 I do minecraft pixel arts and other games too. Machinima Partnered :D.
Level 5 is unsolvable in the current version. There is a stone slab above the birch slab in the tunnel.
Furthermore, the iron pressure plates in level 10 have been removed, making it unsolvable as well.
Thank you for pointing that out. While in a rush to fix many bugs, I didn't realize I created others. v1.3 has all the fixes you need. Sorry for the inconvenience.
9/26/15 === v1.3
- Level 5 and 10 are fixed
- All Levels should be working properly now
- I am sorry for any inconvenience... I rushed..
Hey Sam this is an amazing map, good concept. I just wanted to point out that with level 4(which im pretty sure is the lava one)i was able to skip the entire level and i think you should fix it.
To skip the level you do everything normally until the first lava reset point. Then you keep the jump wool and don't take the heavy wool and go up the staircase. From there you can jump across to some blocks where u can be on top of the level and jump over to the yellow wool.

This is a really fun and clever map! Reminds me a lot of the puzzle platformers that used to spam flash game sites- and by extension Portal
Spoilery hopefully constructive criticism!
I loved most levels, but ended up skipping Level 8. Not a fan of the sudden parkour, though I suppose since most levels have a gimmick it was inevitable that there'd be one I didn't like. Level 9 was my favorite- it was a great way to evolve the mechanics without fundamentally changing them. Would've been cool to see those gates coexist with the wool pickups at some point.
I was laughing my butt off for the entire final boss. The gimmick for it is fun- though I'm not entirely clear on how you're supposed to avoid its attacks. It seems to me like it'd be a bit better if it was shooting creepers at you- something you could actually answer, instead of hopelessly being knocked off your precarious cobblestone perch.
I also really want to know how you made climb wool work. o.o;
