Spectrum is a complete-the-monument map with multiple genres, similar to the map Diversity. Consisting of six unique branches (puzzle, parkour, arena, dropper, adventure, and trivia), this custom map offers tons of variety. Originally, I did not want to copy qmagnet's idea of multiple genres. However, with the creation other multi-genre maps such as Variety and Bandiser, I decided to take a swing at it. Now, after 14 months of hard work, I am proud to finally present to you Spectrum!

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE BRANCH?

Puzzle Parkour Arena Dropper Adventure Trivia
If you enjoyed this map, you might like some of my others!
Nicely crafted map, kwirky! The adventure branch was my favorite. The beautiful scenery, occasional jump scares, attention to details, and walking villagers! I also enjoyed the trivia branch punishments! Very creative! Keep it up!
Was fun... at some parts. I loved Dropper and Parkour. Puzzle confused me a bit (I wasn't sure what to do with the potion materials, so I had to cheat). Trivia didn't even work for me. The questions never came up when I pressed the button.(besides the first one) Adventure looked good, but had too much empty space. Don't make a ton of buildings if there is nothing useful in them. Arena was okay, but I would have preferred upgradable tools/armor as opposed to the buildings. None of them helped at all, and the iron golem actually helped AGAINST you, because it stole you kills. It was also a bit unbalanced. Deaths were useless and some of the mobs were super hard, and others were painfully easy(wither skeleton).
You certainly show that you know how to make a good map, but it's a total copy of Diversity 2, even the color scheme and mechanics of the hub in particular. Find your own ideas. Perhaps clean up the aesthetics a bit: I noticed it the most in trivia, but some places were REALLY messy.
I would say 7/10 for the map. Good mechanics, AWESOME dropper/parkour, but other areas lacked in originality, functionality and had some general design issues.

Thank you so much for the feedback! Any constructive criticism is extremely helpful. I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed the parkour and dropper sections. Also, I'm not sure why the trivia hasn't worked for you; It worked for me. Weird. It probably had something to do with fill clocks and how they time out if you get far away? I wish I knew how to fix that, but I think that that's mainly Minecraft's fault.
Thanks a lot for the critique on the adventure and arena branches. Believe it or not, those were the last two branches I worked on and I wanted to finish the map as quickly as possible. I'll try to fix as many issues as possible. (I'm not going to take out any buildings in the adventure branch lol.) Currently, I'm working on a map that's MUCH more original. (Trust me on this one; I stated previously in this thread that the only reason I tried making a multi-genre map was because of Variety and Bandiser)
Once again, thank you so much for reviewing this map. You have no idea how much it means to me.
In the trivia on the which of these can you get without going to the nether, I think you can get a potion of swiftness by killing a witch when it is drinking it. Quote frm minecraft wiki: "Witches can also drop potions of healing, fire resistance, swiftness and water breathing as an equipment drop if killed while drinking that potion."
btw could you tell me what 'messy aesthetics' are? I don't know what and where they are.
Too many types of blocks and bad design. Most of your lobbies don't have a clear contrast between the walls and the floor. (dropper, parkour) I don't like the sea lantern spam in the parkour hub too. Arena is very messy as well. You have blocks going every which way, random stripes and layers, etc.
So pretty much, just focus on design and structure rather than a ton of random blocks. Cool shapes are better than a flat wall with 10 different blocks. Focus on making sure all your colors contrast or complement each other. I'd love to help you build on your new map if you need(want) help.

Oh, thanks for pointing that out! I didn't realize that lol. I'll try to change that asap

I must politely disagree. I believe that the more complex the design (e.g. the number of blocks, differences of shapes and sizes, etc.) actually improves the build. As a matter of fact, the blocks in the arena follow a specific pattern. I can understand your complaints about the lobbies and hubs, however, and I do believe that structure is very important. But I don't think that variety in blocks is necessarily a bad thing. Lastly, thank you very much for your offer to help me with my new map, but unfortunately, I will have to refuse. I'm not very comfortable collaborating with people that I don't really know. (I'm under the age of 20, but I don't want to give my age away for obvious reasons.) I'll notify you when I'm done with my map. Once again, thanks so much for your reviews.
Hello. i just started playing your map and, well. the whole dropper section, if i die i always end up spawning outside the map. I tried to reinstall the map a couple of times to see if that fixed. but no luck.

Oh, and just as an idea, maybe you could try creating a multiplayer map, kwirky. You know, just for a little change. I think that would be cool.

My pleasure! It's a very well made and apparently also well tested map, I didn't encounter a single bug or issue of any kind!
I did eventually find the sewers, not really sure how I managed to miss that trap door for so long
