Hello there!
My name is coolfool88 (ignore the other 8's in my Forum Name) and I am a long time CTM player. As a veteran, I know what separates a good map and a bad map, and in that time I know that just because a map looks really interesting, the gameplay might be weak and boring. With that in mind I set out to build a CTM map series myself, one that looked interesting, but at the same time put gameplay above all else. If you don't know what a Complete the Monument map is, here you go:
A Complete the Monument map (commonly known as CTM) is a map style created by Vechs where a player goes out into the world and attempts to, as the title entails, complete a monument by capturing certain objectives. Most commonly those objectives are colored wool, but sometimes in other map series they are things like banners, stained clay, records, flowers, and really just about anything. In the case of this series, all monuments will consist of the 16 colored wools, and the Iron, Gold, and Diamond Blocks.
Without further ado, here are the maps:
My first attempt at releasing a CTM Map is Meltdown! After making considerable progress I decided to scrap the map in its initial form because I was unhappy with the way it was turning out. The map is currently undergoing re-planning and development should begin VERY soon (as of Dec. 17, 2015)
This map, like Elements Above, was made for the 8th Strawberry Jam with the theme "The Haunting". It was made within 72 hours and I, unlike Elements, am quite happy with the result

Objectives: 3 "Elemental" Wool Blocks
Difficulty: Easy/Medium
Minecraft Version: 1.8.8
Length: 3 Relatively Short Areas
This map was built for the 7th CTM Jam "Shattered Sky" with the only rule being that it had to be built in 72 hours and that it had to be a map comprised of floating islands! Since it was built in 72 hours it is nowhere near perfect and I would change a lot of things, but I've decided that I'll leave it as I built it for the jam.
Glad to see another CTM Map Maker! I'll be sure to check this out soon. Mind if I be a beta tester? I have many experiences with CTM Maps (check my about me page :p)

Of course you can, but as you can tell from the Google Doc it's nowhere near ready for beta testing as I've just started work on Intersection 1. I'll be sure to let you know when it comes out.

Meltdown Dev. Update No. 1
June 29, 2015
Today marks the 2-week anniversary of the day I began my map, and marks the 1-week anniversary since the creation of this thread. So, without further ado, let's go over what I've done in the past week and talk a little bit about the map.
First of all, the map will feature several towns rather than Intersections, although they will serve the same purpose as an Intersection. They exist to make transitions between areas and will have a theme that is shared with their surrounding areas (those being: Forest, Ice, Island, Cave, and Hell). The first of which is about done, being the first Intersection. Here is a screenshot of the tentative area...
The Intersections will also feature Custom Villagers with a scaled trade system. Here is an example of that:
Finally, this week I worked on the Orange Wool area, I still have quite a bit of work to do, but enjoy this dark cryptic screenshot
That's all for this week, having a blast making the map and can't wait to get it done and released sometime in the future.
Just completed Element Above, and i loved it, what i really liked is how you hid the Legendary Items, i only found the element of water and the element of fire one though, couldnt find the element of earth one.

Check for bricks at the bottom of the Underroot Ruins
Were the graves in the first area of Spook supposed to be the people in the CTM SMP? Because... erm... there wasn't a Navarog grave.
Yes but I only used the people who have been more active as of late to prevent there from being too many graves as I had a time restriction! Sorry that you weren't included!

I like the first two pictures of the map, the third one doesn't convince me at all. I'll keep an eye on this thread
I can beta test!
I don't care about the Xs. You can call me Navarog. Or Nava if you really want to be a hipster. It's fine.
I can test it real quick today... depending if you can give it to me today!
