Void Unbound started as a small concept and weekend project, but has since evolved into a longterm work with many hours invested. The idea is simple; I wanted the player to, through the use of custom multiblock structures & machines, have access to all of the blocks in the game, within a skyblock styled map... And in vanilla. I never intended to share the project, but after considering all of the time I've put into refining it I decided it would be a fun custom map to introduce to the Minecraft community!
'VOID UNBOUND 2' (title subject to change) is in the works, and Void Unbound will no longer be updated. Playing in any version past 1.8.4 WILL break the map. Any bugs and issues will be solved on a personal basis. Feel free to suggest content for the new map, but don't expect changes with this one!

3. Machine Crafting & Tips
Machines are created by building 'blueprint' models which the game recognizes as functional structures. Read the spoiler below to understand how to create these machines.
Machines either function passively, or through an input of placing (not throwing) a block onto or inside of the machine.
The section below explains the functions of each of the machines in the game, as well as an animated .gif to show how to build the device. Required materials and machine dimensions are given. This is not the final machine and will not function on its own.
Build the blueprint of the machine shown in the .gif animations below.
Stand in the location of the armor stand shown in the .gif. Try to be as close to the center of the block as possible.
Hold a stick in your 9th hotbar slot. Face directly downward, you should see a message in the chat alerting you that the game is testing for a blueprint. Do not move.
You should receive a message saying the machine was created successfully. You may move at this point and use your machine!
If you get back a message that it failed, be sure to check that you've built your blueprint correctly and are standing in the correct location. If you are having trouble or would like more information, a spoiler containing troubleshooting and tips is located below the blueprints.
Machine Blueprints & Functions
Cobblestone Generator
The cobblestone generator is a staple machine in every skyblock map, acting as the primary source of blocks to expand your floating base. This machine automates the process of mining cobblestone, spawning one at its top every few seconds. If the water or lava blocks are removed, the machine will cease to function, however if they are replaced the machine will start up again.
Required Resources:
73 Cobblestone
1 Water
1 Lava
Functions:
Generates one piece of cobblestone every few seconds
Water Well
The water well is a machine used to hydrate blocks. Placing 8 of a type of block in the machine will output 8 hydrated versions of that block. If the water block is removed, it will cease to function. Placing a new water block in its place will start the machine back up, while placing lava will turn it into a lava well.
The lava well is a machine that is used to smelt certain blocks into cooked variants. Placing 8 of a type of block into the machine will output 8 cooked variants of that block. If the lava block is removed, it will cease to function. Placing a new lava block in its place will start the machine back up, while placing water will turn it into a water well.
Required Resources:
48 Cobblestone
1 Lava
Functions:
8 Cobblestone → 8 Stone 8
Sand → 8 Glass
8 Clay → 8 Hardened Clay
8 Soul Sand → 8 Red Sand 8
Prismarine Brick → 8 Dark Prismarine
Crusher
The crusher is a block processing machine that breaks blocks down into smaller pieces. Some blocks have a chance of yielding rare materials, making this a useful machine even in later portions of the game. If the piston is removed from the structure, the machine will not function. Replacing the piston will allow it to function again.
The composter is a simple barrel which, when filled with leaves and sealed, will output various items after a moment passes. Note that the barrel's lid must be closed for the leaves to compost.
The garden is a natural machine that allows for the regrowth of organic materials. Inputting either saplings or dirt blocks will result in an output of random plant matter or a block of fertile ground. If the dirt is removed from the base of this machine, it will cease to function until the blocks are replaced.
Required Resources:
25 Cobblestone
8 Oak Logs
1 Dirt
Functions:
2 Saplings → 1 random plant (Saplings, flowers, cacti, sugar cane, potato, carrot, seeds, etc.) all at equal chance.
2 Dirt → 1 Grass, Podzol, or Mycellium.
Loom
The loom is exactly what you'd expect it to be; A machine that processes wool and string. If the iron bar is removed, the machine will no longer function and can not be fixed without creating a new loom.
There are many variants of ore mines, but their functionalities are all similar; They process ores slowly to yield their extract without consuming the ores themselves. Each ore mine has 9 ore blocks at its base, which can be interchanged at any time to change the process. However, all 9 ores must be present and of the same type for the mine to function.
Required Resources:
93 Cobblestone
3 Oak Planks or 3 Nether Bricks (Nether Quartz Ore)
9 Ore of the same kind
Functions:
Periodically, and at a random chance, a refined byproduct of the respective ore will be produced at the top of the machine for no cost. A distinctive sound effect will play when an ore mine successfully generates a resource. This chance varies depending on the type of ore in the machine. Rarely, green sparkles will appear above the machine indicating an extra extraction.
Coal Furnace
The coal furnace is used to create more lava using a piece of cobblestone and a block of coal as fuel.
Required Resources:
75 Cobblestone
28 Hardened Clay
Functions:
Placing a Block of Coal in one slot and a Cobblestone in the other will generate a lava source block after a few moments.
Redstone Extractor
The redstone extractor currently has a single function; Extracting redstone dust from red clay.
(note, i missed adding the armor stand in this .gif; it should be located at the top center.)
Required Resources:
46 Cobblestone
1 Red Stained Clay
Functions:
4 Red Stained Clay → 4 Redstone Dust
Paint Mixer
The paint mixer turns a piece of colored wool into 4 dyes of that respective color. It can be used to gather large quantities of a dye.
Note: white, blue and brown wool instead give light grey, light blue and orange dyes to prevent bypassing farming of resources.
Required Resources:
26 Cobblestone
1 Cauldron
Functions:
1 Wool → 4 Dye of respective wool color
Painter
The painter can be used in conjunction with the paint mixer to obtain new colors of dye; By placing any block of wool in the machine, it will spit out a wool of a random color.
The first machine of the alchemical tier, the runic altar allows for infusing a base material with catalysts to form a new substance. By placing runes and other things on pedestals around a material placed on the center pillar, the resulting item will be a fusion of all of the others.
Required Resources:
97 Stone
4 Blocks of Redstone
12 Redstone Dust
25 Oak Planks
1 Iron Block
Functions:
The first block in each recipe goes on the center pillar. The placement order of the other blocks, starting at the northwest pillar and working clockwise, is listed in square brackets next to each recipe.
The ritual altar is an alchemical device used to summon passive mobs using the blood of the player and runes set on four pedestals around the machine. The center pillar requires a metal block of equal worth to the mob being summoned.
Required Materials:
97 Stone
4 Blocks of Coal
12 Redstone Dust
25 Soul Sand
1 Gold Block
Functions:
Within a few moments of the witching hour (midnight) the altar will become active as is apparent by flame particles above the center pillar. While active, one can perform a ritual of summoning to create a new passive mob. This will require a player within 6 blocks of the altar to activate, and will wither up to 7.5 hearts from the player as a blood sacrifice in order to summon the mob.
1 Gold Block, 4 Stained Hardened Clay (1 White, 1 Grey, 2 Black) → 1 Cow

Required Resources:
40 Oak Logs
21 Oak Planks
12 Hay Bales
1 Redstone Block
1 Gold Block
1 Cow (within 10 blocks)
1 Chicken (within 10 blocks)
Functions:
Placing a hay bale on top of the redstone block will create a new slice of cake. Over time, the cake will slowly regenerate so long as you leave at least one slice.
If a cow or chicken gets too near to the cake pedestal on top, their blood will be spontaneously transmuted into cookies and erupt in a geyser above them. If you go near the cake pedestal on the other hand, then.. Well.... Just don't go near the cake.
Blast Furnace
The blast furnace uses TNT to compress blocks explosively. Be careful, it can damage nearby players as well!
(note, i missed adding the armor stand in this .gif; it should be located at the top center.)
Required Resources:
49 Stone
98 Brick Blocks
22 Obsidian
1 Iron Block
Functions:
Fill the top section of the furnace with 9 TNT, and the bottom slot with the block you would like to compress. Once the hatches are closed, the furnace will activate after a brief sizzling noise.
9 TNT, 1 Coal Block → 16 Fire Charges (33%) or 1~2 Diamond (67%)
9 TNT, 1 Stone → 10 Andesite
Coal Charger
The coal charger is the most basic machine used to make a battery, as it is guaranteed to convert an iron block into a battery cell.
Required Resources:
117 Polished Andesite
4 Blocks of Redstone
9 Quartz Blocks
10 Redstone Dust
3 Iron Blocks
Functions:
Place two coal blocks in the input slots and an iron block on the charging pad. The iron block will be turned into a battery (sea lantern).

The ritual charger is a more advanced machine in terms of battery charging, as it uses the blood of farm animals to function.
Required Resources:
109 Polished Andesite
32 Nether Bricks
9 Quartz Blocks
1 Redstone Block
5 Redstone Dust
1 Gold Block
Functions:
When an iron block is on the charging pad, any cow, pig or sheep standing in the nether brick structure will be damaged in return for a chance to charge the battery (sea lantern).
Solar Charger
The solar charger is the simplest of the chargers, as once built it consumes no resources and can theoretically recharge an infinite number of batteries over time.
Required Resources:
113 Polished Andesite
9 Quartz Blocks
28 Redstone Dust
4 Blocks of Redstone
8 Iron Blocks
4 Daylight Sensors
1 Diamond Block
Function:
When an iron block is placed on the charging pad, it has a small chance to be charged any time during daylight. The resulting battery (sea lantern) will never despawn, so it is safe to leave unmonitored.
Cyclic Crusher
The cyclic crusher is a battery powered variant of the crusher. It works over three times as quickly, and gives double~triple the output of the normal crusher, but does not yield rare drops.
Required Resources:
142 Polished Andesite
8 Quartz Blocks
14 Redstone Blocks
6 Iron Blocks
1 Diamond Block
Functions:
To function, two batteries (sea lanterns) must be inserted in the inlet slots on the machine's front panel. After every use, there is a small chance one or both batteries will burn out and require a recharge for further usage.
1 Cobblestone → 2 Gravel
1 Gravel → 2 Sand
1 Mossy Cobblestone → 3 Vines
1 Stone Brick → 1 Cracked Stone Brick
1 Netherrack → 2 Nether Bricks (Item)
1 Packed Ice → 3 Snow Blocks

Required Resources:
131 Polished Andesite
18 Quartz Blocks
21 Blocks of Redstone
8 Iron Blocks
1 Diamond Block
Functions:
By placing a natural block in the machine's input slot, so long as there is a supply of power from two batteries (sea lanterns), the machine will begin cloning the block rapidly with a relatively high chance to burn out a battery. The machine consumes power at a high rate, while outputting an equally high number of blocks. The machine is currently able to clone:
Cobblestone
Dirt
Gravel
Sand
Stone
Granite
Diorite
Andesite
Coarse Dirt
Red Sand
Mossy Cobblestone
Grass
Ore Oscillator
The ore oscillator is a battery powered, single function machine used to combine valuable blocks with rough ground to create ore. It is necessary to create certain ore mines.
Required Resources:
150 Polished Andesite
20 Blocks of Redstone
25 Quartz Blocks
4 Iron Blocks
1 Diamond Block
Functions:
The ore oscillator requires two batteries (sea lanterns) to run, and is guaranteed to consume both of their power after creating an ore. The ground block goes in the west slot, while the valuable block goes in the east.
1 Stone + 1 Coal Block → 3 Coal Ore
1 Stone + 1 Lapis Block → 2 Lapis Ore
1 Stone + 1 Iron Block → 4 Iron Ore
1 Stone + 1 Gold Block → 3 Gold Ore

1 Stone + 1 Emerald Block → 2 Emerald Ore
1 Stone + 1 Diamond Block → 2 Diamond Ore
1 Netherrack + 1 Quartz Block → 3 Quartz Ore
Element Extractor
The element extractor is a battery powered machine, and the valuable resource gathering counterpart to the cyclic crusher. It acts somewhat similarly to the crusher, but instead uses a large amount of power to refine raw materials.
1 Netherrack → 7~13 Glowstone Dust (%), or 1~2 Nether Quartz Ore (%)
1 Iron Ore → 1~2 Iron Ingots
1 Gold Ore → 1~2 Gold Ingots
Summoning Platform
The summoning platform is a bridge to the final machine tier, and is used to summon custom boss mobs. By placing certain blocks on top of the nine pillars of the machine, different custom bosses will be spawned.
The cascade pillar is one of the end-tier machines used to control the weather. Placing water or lava at the top of an active obelisk will cause the state of the weather to change.
Required Resources:
52 Obsidian
24 End Stone
2 Diamond Blocks
1 Emerald Block
Functions:
To activate, the eight portal frame blocks atop the spire must first be filled with eyes of ender. Once active, placing either water or lava on top of the spire will cause the weather to change. Something weird may happen if you power the machine...
1 Water → Weather becomes rain
1 Lava → Weather becomes clear
??? → Weather becomes thunderstorm
Sundial Pillar **
The sundial pillar is one of the end-tier machines used to control time. Placing stained hardened clay at the top of an active obelisk will cause the time to change.
Required Resources:
52 Obsidian
24 End Stone
2 Diamond Blocks
1 Gold Block
Functions:
To activate, the eight portal frame blocks atop the spire must first be filled with eyes of ender. Once active, placing stained hardened clay on top of the spire will control time. Something weird may happen if you power the machine...
Stained Hardened Clay (Orange) → Time set to sunrise
Stained Hardened Clay (Yellow) → Time set to noon
Stained Hardened Clay (Pink) → Time set to dusk
Stained Hardened Clay (Purple) → Time set to twilight
Stained Hardened Clay (Blue) → Time set to midnight
Stained Hardened Clay (Light Blue) → Time set to pre-dawn
??? → Time freezes for a while
Void Pillar **
The void pillar is an end-tier machine similar in ways to the cobblestone generator, but, while active, can generate a wide variety of blocks at no cost by pulling copies from the void.
Required Resources:
52 Obsidian
24 End Stone
2 Diamond Blocks
10 Iron Blocks
Functions:
To activate, the eight portal frame blocks atop the spire must first be filled with eyes of ender. Once active, a certain block can be placed in the center of the pillar to be copied every few seconds at no cost. A wide variety of blocks (too many to list) can be used for this. Duplicated block drops last up to 15 minutes before despawning, so it's safe to leave the pillar unattended for a while without losing items.
Machine Troubleshooting & Tips
If your machine was working but stops randomly, try exiting the game and reloading the world. There's a weird issue with the spawn chunks where redstone updates stop triggering command blocks occasionally.
If you are not able to get your machine to correctly spawn from your blueprint, check for the following to be sure you've correctly set it up!
Be sure:
You are standing directly centered on the block indicated by position of the armor stand in the .gif
You have aligned the structure along the proper coordinate plane (North is indicated by red wool in the .gifs)
Metadata of blocks is correct (e.g. red stained clay in the blueprint has to be red)
Multi-state blocks are oriented correctly (logs, pistons, pillars, etc. facing correct directions)
There are no blocks within spaces indicated as air in the .gif (the entire bounding box is checked. Note that once the machine is created successfully you can fill in any air spaces without an issue.)
Most machines can be destroyed once built if the player decides to remove them. Machines marked with'**'cannot be destroyed without creative mode or external editors once added to the world.
In this map, holding a stick in your 9th hotbar slot is used to execute a variety of functions. Looking straight down while holding a stick will check for a blueprint and attempt to build a machine. Looking straight up while holding a stick will tell you whether or not there is a functional machine set up within 5 blocks of your current location.
Machines which use batteries (which are actually sea lanterns) require that all of the power pylons (the towers along the side of the machine with the chiseled stone bricks and iron bars) be filled with sea lanterns to function. The lanterns must be placed between the iron bars and in front of the chiseled stone brick. When power is depleted from a battery, it will be reverted to an iron block and can be either recharged at a charging station, or used for its ingots.
How it works:
Machines function by spawning in an invisible, named armor stand. Most commands are executed around this armor stand. If an armor stand is above an air block, it will be deleted immediately, this is why machines can be destroyed with no residual effects. The flaws of using invisible armor stands is that they do sometimes get in the way of certain actions, such as placing or interacting with blocks. If you are having trouble interacting with your machine from a certain place, try adjusting your position. The armor stand just might be in your way.
Custom Mobs
Bane
Summoned by the Summoning Platform, Bane is a custom boss with many utilities. When close to a player, Bane will utilize a sword and may wither any players within range. While further away, it will switch to a bow and attack the player at a range. Bane's giant eyeball head serves two functions, acting both as a laser to target players at a range beyond even the bow, as well as a protective shield from attacks above the torso.
Bane has three separate unique attacks:
Bane will propel itself into the air while rapidly firing a volley of arrows in a small area below it. Bane will summon a Darkling mob to help fight the player(s).
Bane will fire a massive volley of flaming arrows out in all directions.
When killed, Bane will drop one Wither Skeleton Skull and three diamonds.
Darkling
A summon of the Bane custom boss, the Darkling will target players over 64 blocks away and quickly chase them down, preventing the player from escaping Bane even for a short while. If too close to a Darkling when killed, a nearby player may be blinded for a few seconds.
The Harbinger
Summoned by the Summoning Platform, the Harbinger is a custom boss with a multitude of dangerous, world-rending attacks. The Harbinger will consistently shoot volleys of fireballs at the player, while keeping at a distance and remaining grounded. The Harbinger has a lot of health, making it a dangerous opponent warranting a long battle.
The Harbinger has three separate unique attacks:
The Harbinger will summon Brimstone, Hellfire or Inferno to help fight the player(s). The Harbinger and its minions will summon lightning to strike the player(s). The Harbinger will call down a storm of fire, setting the world around it ablaze.
When killed, the Harbinger will drop one Wither Skeleton Skull and three diamonds.
Brimstone / Hellfire / Inferno
A summon of the Harbinger custom boss, these blazes will target nearby players with fireballs and lightning strikes while circling and protecting the Harbinger. Each has a slightly varied movement and attack pattern, making it difficult to anticipate their actions.
The Broodmother
Summoned by the Summoning Platform, the Broodmother is a custom boss with negative status attacks and a destructive force. The spiderling riding her acts as a thick shield, and won't die unless the Broodmother is killed first.
The Broodmother has three separate unique attacks:
The Broodmother's mount will fire a shot of status effecting web at a player within range.
The Broodmother will summon Broodlings to dig into the player's stone structures and destroy them.
The Broodmother will launch a volley of spider web around itself.
When killed, the Broodmother will drop one Wither Skeleton Skull and three diamonds.
Broodling
A summon of the Broodmother custom boss, these silverfish will immediately attempt to dig into nearby stone before withering away. Due to their nature, they will cause any nearby monster egg blocks to break open.
Illusion
Illusions are small wisp-like creatures that emanate from the energy given off by Ender Crystals. One will summon at every Ender Crystal in the world every few moments. Though harmless, when a player gets too near to them they will be slowed, and if touched, the player will be blinded momentarily. There is no way to kill an Illusion. Illusions will, however, dissipate after a short time on their own without leaving even a trace.

Special thanks to GooseGam3r72, Meinarcher and TheRedMezek for assisting in bug testing.
And a big thanks to the UnFinite crew for support during the grueling hours of writing 600+ commands!
EDIT: A couple things I'm noticing from the outset, I've got some andesite blocks in my inventory, and it would be good to have a sign that lets the player know they're supposed to jump into the tripwire pit (or better yet, just start them off at the tree platform)

@TheRedMezek Thank you! Be sure to tell me how you like it.
And yes, I just realized I accidentally forgot to clear the player data before exporting the map. I'll quickly change out the download link to fix that problem. Sorry!
Edit: Fixed the download links. Players should spawn on the platform properly now! (It's necessary to set up scoreboards)
So far, this is AWESOME. I've got a cobble generator and crusher, hollowed out the initial stone cube for a house, and have an upper level for farming. I'm playing with some mods, most notably Hopper Ducts, so once I get an iron mine going I'm planning to set up an elaborate item transportation/sorting system.
Note: The crusher breaks whenever I put gravel in it. The piston arm goes up and never comes down, and doesn't give me anything. I can fix it by replacing the piston, but I currently cannot make sand...

@TheRedMezek Shoot, sorry! I'll look into that asap and try to put out a new download link.
I guess I need to go back to bugtesting, that's a serious issue!
Whenever you find out how to fix it, please let me know how to do it myself, as I don't want to start a new world. I also just tested and discovered that the crusher works just fine on mossy cobblestone.

Through my own testing, the crusher is currently functioning fully both in singleplayer and on a server. I'm not sure why we're having different results, but I'll look into it more and see if anyone else is having a similar issue.
The machine to generate lava is, by the way, the Coal Furnace.

Moved to a new location with a new computer and managed to replicate the issue. I'll work out a fix for this (and check for any more bugs while I'm at it) and announce when I put out a new download.
I found another bug. I've been converting gravel into sand with a Custom NPC (4/1 exchange rate to account for the shorter manufacture time) and decided to make some clay with the water well. I stacked up sand over the input slots so that whenever it finished converting one set it would jump to the next. However, after it processed the first set of sand and the second fell in, it just started outputting free clay.
Addendum: The mines are also very broken. I built one for coal and waited a while, but it didn't produce anything. I switched to creative mode and changed it to lapis, still nothing. Then I built four iron mines in a row, and around when I made the third one the first two each produced eight stacks of iron ingots. They produced nothing after that.

Thanks for finding all of these bugs. I'm hard at work to fix all of them up right now!
Edit: Also, mines are random in the rates of their production, it's a very low chance of production regardless since you can make a theoretically infinite amount of them. I've raised the chances quite a bit now, but they do (and did in my testing) produce.
Though the eight stacks of iron ingots sounds a little peculiar. Should be fixed now though.
I'll put up a new download in a couple hours. Still working out a few other bugs I found.
Edit 2: Resolved all of the bugs you've mentioned! (Or at least I hope..) Thank you for all the work, I've given you a mention in the 'Special Thanks' section. Once I'm done blasting the rest of these I'll update the world download. I've taken it down until then since there were so many severe problems.
Can you give instructions for how to fix things for pre-existing maps? Or...I guess just my map. I really don't want to start over, I've progressed quite far today.
Melusane, all of the machines that require block input require (at least as far as I've used them) actually placing the blocks, not throwing items. The garden requires that you place two saplings or two dirt, one on top of each of the garden's dirt blocks, and with the composter you can place leaf blocks in through the side.
Are the mines working now, in the latest map?
EDIT: Woo, things work now! The mines still produce super slowly, but they work! Huzzah! Now I have to replicate my base on this new map...
EDIT2: Actually, it looks like the mines are only producing on the rare double-product events, and not normally.
:/ I can't even manage to get the cobble generator to work. It is just a 3 tall 5x5 block of cobble, right? with the lava and water on left and right respectively?

@shadew Check the troubleshooting section; You have to be sure that when you build any structure that it's facing north! In he .gifs, north is indicated by the red stripe of wool in the background. Also, it won't work until you 'trigger' it by holding a stick in your 9th hotbar slot and face straight down while standing on the top center of the structure. It's a little complicated, so I'll probably have to change it in future versions..
I'll be updating the forum topic tomorrow to make it more clear and understandable, and possibly putting out another small bugfix update too; I've had a busy couple of days. Sorry!
Hey, i started playing your map for a bit, and I loved it! I love it so much, I started making a youtube series for it. Im not very popular. I only have 2 subs, but I have so much fun making these videos on your map! Great job! If you'd like to check out the videos, here's the link!

Thanks for playing, guys!
I will be updating this map regularly to do bugfixes and add new machines, so be sure to check back periodically if you'd like to keep up with progress!
Does the compost bin need saplings or leaf blocks? Also, I can't open the trap door. I don't have any idea how to use this compost. I've tried throwing in saplings. Throwing in and placing leaf blocks.
Never mind. I finally figured it out. I'm loving this map.

Machines either function passively, or through an input of placing (not throwing) a block onto or inside of the machine.
The section below explains the functions of each of the machines in the game, as well as an animated .gif to show how to build the device. Required materials and machine dimensions are given. This is not the final machine and will not function on its own.
Required Resources:
Functions:
8 Cobblestone → 8 Mossy Cobblestone8 Stone Brick → 8 Mossy Stone Brick
8 Sand → 8 Clay
8 Netherrack → 8 Soul Sand
Lava Well
The lava well is a machine that is used to smelt certain blocks into cooked variants. Placing 8 of a type of block into the machine will output 8 cooked variants of that block. If the lava block is removed, it will cease to function. Placing a new lava block in its place will start the machine back up, while placing water will turn it into a water well.
Required Resources:
Functions:
8 Cobblestone → 8 Stone 8Sand → 8 Glass
8 Clay → 8 Hardened Clay
8 Soul Sand → 8 Red Sand 8
Prismarine Brick → 8 Dark Prismarine
Crusher
The crusher is a block processing machine that breaks blocks down into smaller pieces. Some blocks have a chance of yielding rare materials, making this a useful machine even in later portions of the game. If the piston is removed from the structure, the machine will not function. Replacing the piston will allow it to function again.
Required Resources:
Functions:
1 Cobblestone → 1 Gravel & Rarely: [Coal Ore (2.5%), Lapis Lazuli Ore (0.8%), Iron Ore (1.6%)]1 Gravel → 1 Sand & Rarely: [Sand (14%), Flint (7%), Clay Ball (4%)]
1 Mossy Cobblestone → 1 Gravel, 2 Vines
1 Stone Brick → 1 Cracked Stone Brick
1 Netherrack → 1 Nether Brick (Item) & Rarely: [Glowstone Dust (13%), Nether Quartz Ore (3.7%)]
1 Soul Sand → Glowstone Dust (33%), Gunpowder (33%), Blaze Powder (22%), or Nether Wart (12%)
1 Packed Ice → 1 Snow Block
1 Prismarine Brick → 1 Prismarine
Composter
The composter is a simple barrel which, when filled with leaves and sealed, will output various items after a moment passes. Note that the barrel's lid must be closed for the leaves to compost.
Required Resources:
Functions:
1 Leaf → 1 Stick (11%)1 Leaf → 1 Oak Sapling (11%)
1 Leaf → 1 Slime Block (22%)
1 Leaf → 1 Red Mushroom (11%)
1 Leaf → 1 Brown Mushroom (11%)
1 Leaf → 1 Dirt (34%)
Garden
The garden is a natural machine that allows for the regrowth of organic materials. Inputting either saplings or dirt blocks will result in an output of random plant matter or a block of fertile ground. If the dirt is removed from the base of this machine, it will cease to function until the blocks are replaced.
Required Resources:
Functions:
2 Saplings → 1 random plant (Saplings, flowers, cacti, sugar cane, potato, carrot, seeds, etc.) all at equal chance.2 Dirt → 1 Grass, Podzol, or Mycellium.
Loom
The loom is exactly what you'd expect it to be; A machine that processes wool and string. If the iron bar is removed, the machine will no longer function and can not be fixed without creating a new loom.
Required Resources:
Functions:
1 String → 1 Cobweb1 Cobweb → 1 Wool
1 Wool → 1 String
Ore Mines
There are many variants of ore mines, but their functionalities are all similar; They process ores slowly to yield their extract without consuming the ores themselves. Each ore mine has 9 ore blocks at its base, which can be interchanged at any time to change the process. However, all 9 ores must be present and of the same type for the mine to function.
Required Resources:
Functions:
Periodically, and at a random chance, a refined byproduct of the respective ore will be produced at the top of the machine for no cost. A distinctive sound effect will play when an ore mine successfully generates a resource. This chance varies depending on the type of ore in the machine. Rarely, green sparkles will appear above the machine indicating an extra extraction.Coal Furnace
The coal furnace is used to create more lava using a piece of cobblestone and a block of coal as fuel.
Required Resources:
Functions:
Placing a Block of Coal in one slot and a Cobblestone in the other will generate a lava source block after a few moments.Redstone Extractor
The redstone extractor currently has a single function; Extracting redstone dust from red clay.
(note, i missed adding the armor stand in this .gif; it should be located at the top center.)
Required Resources:
Functions:
4 Red Stained Clay → 4 Redstone DustPaint Mixer
The paint mixer turns a piece of colored wool into 4 dyes of that respective color. It can be used to gather large quantities of a dye.
Note: white, blue and brown wool instead give light grey, light blue and orange dyes to prevent bypassing farming of resources.
Required Resources:
Functions:
1 Wool → 4 Dye of respective wool colorPainter
The painter can be used in conjunction with the paint mixer to obtain new colors of dye; By placing any block of wool in the machine, it will spit out a wool of a random color.

The freezer is a simple machine that chills blocks you place inside of it.
Required Resources:
Functions:
1 Water → 1 Ice1 Ice → 1 Packed Ice
1 Lava → 1 Obsidian
Runic Altar
The first machine of the alchemical tier, the runic altar allows for infusing a base material with catalysts to form a new substance. By placing runes and other things on pedestals around a material placed on the center pillar, the resulting item will be a fusion of all of the others.
Required Resources:
Functions:
The first block in each recipe goes on the center pillar. The placement order of the other blocks, starting at the northwest pillar and working clockwise, is listed in square brackets next to each recipe.1 Iron Block, 4 Stained Hardened Clay (yellow), 2 Glowstone → 1 Gold Block [Y/Y/G/Y/Y/G]

Ritual Altar
The ritual altar is an alchemical device used to summon passive mobs using the blood of the player and runes set on four pedestals around the machine. The center pillar requires a metal block of equal worth to the mob being summoned.
Required Materials:
Functions:
Within a few moments of the witching hour (midnight) the altar will become active as is apparent by flame particles above the center pillar. While active, one can perform a ritual of summoning to create a new passive mob. This will require a player within 6 blocks of the altar to activate, and will wither up to 7.5 hearts from the player as a blood sacrifice in order to summon the mob.1 Gold Block, 4 Stained Hardened Clay (1 White, 1 Grey, 2 Black) → 1 Cow

Blood Bakery
The blood bakery is an alchemical device which creates confections out of the blood and souls of deceased familiars. You can hear the screams of trapped souls taunting you from within..
Required Resources:
Functions:
Fill the top section of the furnace with 9 TNT, and the bottom slot with the block you would like to compress. Once the hatches are closed, the furnace will activate after a brief sizzling noise.9 TNT, 1 Coal Block → 16 Fire Charges (33%) or 1~2 Diamond (67%)
9 TNT, 1 Stone → 10 Andesite
Coal Charger
The coal charger is the most basic machine used to make a battery, as it is guaranteed to convert an iron block into a battery cell.
Required Resources:
Functions:
Place two coal blocks in the input slots and an iron block on the charging pad. The iron block will be turned into a battery (sea lantern).Ritual Charger
The ritual charger is a more advanced machine in terms of battery charging, as it uses the blood of farm animals to function.
Required Resources:
Functions:
When an iron block is on the charging pad, any cow, pig or sheep standing in the nether brick structure will be damaged in return for a chance to charge the battery (sea lantern).Solar Charger
The solar charger is the simplest of the chargers, as once built it consumes no resources and can theoretically recharge an infinite number of batteries over time.
Required Resources:
Function:
When an iron block is placed on the charging pad, it has a small chance to be charged any time during daylight. The resulting battery (sea lantern) will never despawn, so it is safe to leave unmonitored.Cyclic Crusher
The cyclic crusher is a battery powered variant of the crusher. It works over three times as quickly, and gives double~triple the output of the normal crusher, but does not yield rare drops.
Required Resources:
Functions:
To function, two batteries (sea lanterns) must be inserted in the inlet slots on the machine's front panel. After every use, there is a small chance one or both batteries will burn out and require a recharge for further usage.1 Cobblestone → 2 Gravel
1 Gravel → 2 Sand
1 Mossy Cobblestone → 3 Vines
1 Stone Brick → 1 Cracked Stone Brick
1 Netherrack → 2 Nether Bricks (Item)
1 Packed Ice → 3 Snow Blocks
1 Prismarine Brick → 2 Prismarine
Matter Multiplier
The matter multiplier is a battery powered machine that clones natural blocks using electric power. Though heavy on power expense, it can be an effective way to gather certain materials in bulk.
Required Resources:
Functions:
By placing a natural block in the machine's input slot, so long as there is a supply of power from two batteries (sea lanterns), the machine will begin cloning the block rapidly with a relatively high chance to burn out a battery. The machine consumes power at a high rate, while outputting an equally high number of blocks. The machine is currently able to clone:Ore Oscillator
The ore oscillator is a battery powered, single function machine used to combine valuable blocks with rough ground to create ore. It is necessary to create certain ore mines.
Required Resources:
Functions:
The ore oscillator requires two batteries (sea lanterns) to run, and is guaranteed to consume both of their power after creating an ore. The ground block goes in the west slot, while the valuable block goes in the east.1 Stone + 1 Coal Block → 3 Coal Ore
1 Stone + 1 Lapis Block → 2 Lapis Ore
1 Stone + 1 Iron Block → 4 Iron Ore
1 Stone + 1 Gold Block → 3 Gold Ore
1 Stone + 1 Redstone Block → 2 Redstone Ore
1 Stone + 1 Emerald Block → 2 Emerald Ore
1 Stone + 1 Diamond Block → 2 Diamond Ore
1 Netherrack + 1 Quartz Block → 3 Quartz Ore
Element Extractor
The element extractor is a battery powered machine, and the valuable resource gathering counterpart to the cyclic crusher. It acts somewhat similarly to the crusher, but instead uses a large amount of power to refine raw materials.
Required Resources:
Functions:
1 Cobblestone → 1 Iron Ore (%), 1 Coal Ore (%), 1 Lapis Ore (%), or 1 Cobblestone Monster Egg (%)
1 Gravel → 5 Clay Balls (%), 3 Flint (%), 3~7 Gold Nuggets (%), or 1 Gold Ore (%)
Required Resources:
Functions:
1 Sea Lantern, 8 Nether Bricks → Bane (Boss)1 Sea Lantern, 8 Jack-o-Lanterns → Harbinger (Boss)
1 Sea Lantern, 8 Web → Broodmother (Boss)
1 Beacon, 8 Sea Lanterns → End Portal, Ender Crystal **
Cascade Pillar **
The cascade pillar is one of the end-tier machines used to control the weather. Placing water or lava at the top of an active obelisk will cause the state of the weather to change.
Required Resources:
Functions:
To activate, the eight portal frame blocks atop the spire must first be filled with eyes of ender. Once active, placing either water or lava on top of the spire will cause the weather to change. Something weird may happen if you power the machine...1 Water → Weather becomes rain
1 Lava → Weather becomes clear
??? → Weather becomes thunderstorm
Sundial Pillar **
The sundial pillar is one of the end-tier machines used to control time. Placing stained hardened clay at the top of an active obelisk will cause the time to change.
Required Resources:
Functions:
To activate, the eight portal frame blocks atop the spire must first be filled with eyes of ender. Once active, placing stained hardened clay on top of the spire will control time. Something weird may happen if you power the machine...Stained Hardened Clay (Orange) → Time set to sunrise
Be sure:
Most machines can be destroyed once built if the player decides to remove them. Machines marked with '**' cannot be destroyed without creative mode or external editors once added to the world.
The armor stand just might be in your way.Custom Mobs
Bane will propel itself into the air while rapidly firing a volley of arrows in a small area below it.Bane has three separate unique attacks:
Bane will summon a Darkling mob to help fight the player(s).
Bane will fire a massive volley of flaming arrows out in all directions.
The Harbinger will summon Brimstone, Hellfire or Inferno to help fight the player(s).When killed, Bane will drop one Wither Skeleton Skull and three diamonds.

WHOA!!!
This looks absolutely amazing! I will try it out.
EDIT: A couple things I'm noticing from the outset, I've got some andesite blocks in my inventory, and it would be good to have a sign that lets the player know they're supposed to jump into the tripwire pit (or better yet, just start them off at the tree platform)
TheRedMezek's Mods - Minecraft Fixed and Enhanced
Well i hope this **** doesn't go down in flames, good luck.
Didn't know we were called "the UnFinite Crew" but alright.
Finitechaos told me to change my comment so now its very blunt
Just call me "Rott"
Check out my friend's unique take on Skyblock here.
TheRedMezek's Mods - Minecraft Fixed and Enhanced
@TheRedMezek Shoot, sorry! I'll look into that asap and try to put out a new download link.
I guess I need to go back to bugtesting, that's a serious issue!
Whenever you find out how to fix it, please let me know how to do it myself, as I don't want to start a new world. I also just tested and discovered that the crusher works just fine on mossy cobblestone.
Is there any way to get more lava?
TheRedMezek's Mods - Minecraft Fixed and Enhanced
Through my own testing, the crusher is currently functioning fully both in singleplayer and on a server. I'm not sure why we're having different results, but I'll look into it more and see if anyone else is having a similar issue.
The machine to generate lava is, by the way, the Coal Furnace.
Just tested with an unmodded client on the same world, and I still couldn't crush gravel.
EDIT: Tried on a new world with the new version in creative mode, same problem.
TheRedMezek's Mods - Minecraft Fixed and Enhanced
TheRedMezek's Mods - Minecraft Fixed and Enhanced
Cool Going to download it

Can you give instructions for how to fix things for pre-existing maps? Or...I guess just my map. I really don't want to start over, I've progressed quite far today.
TheRedMezek's Mods - Minecraft Fixed and Enhanced
Melusane, all of the machines that require block input require (at least as far as I've used them) actually placing the blocks, not throwing items. The garden requires that you place two saplings or two dirt, one on top of each of the garden's dirt blocks, and with the composter you can place leaf blocks in through the side.
Are the mines working now, in the latest map?
EDIT: Woo, things work now! The mines still produce super slowly, but they work! Huzzah! Now I have to replicate my base on this new map...
EDIT2: Actually, it looks like the mines are only producing on the rare double-product events, and not normally.
TheRedMezek's Mods - Minecraft Fixed and Enhanced
:/ I can't even manage to get the cobble generator to work. It is just a 3 tall 5x5 block of cobble, right? with the lava and water on left and right respectively?
@shadew Check the troubleshooting section; You have to be sure that when you build any structure that it's facing north! In he .gifs, north is indicated by the red stripe of wool in the background. Also, it won't work until you 'trigger' it by holding a stick in your 9th hotbar slot and face straight down while standing on the top center of the structure.
