We've encountered a slight problem with the map. I'm not sure yet if it's loaded in right, because although spawn was fine, we aren't finding any wonders. So, there's this one part that we ran into
this place was cut off. Like a square cut from the desert, with a wall of water, and it has a little spider spawner and chest cut into the wall, too. And then we followed the cave system that it opened up to, and there was a huge room with the sea lantern decorated pillars that had the lava pocketed floor. And we got to the far side of the room, there was a sign that said 'Cost 1000 souls' and a button on bedrock, we pressed the button, and nothing happened.
Does that sound like something you put in the game? Or did the map load wrong, and I need to redownload it?
I think it would be great if the game itself would keep track of the side quests. Or maybe that they all combined be part of an ultimate extra achievement.
That's a little feedback.
Also I have a question...
When I completed the Grand Canyon adventure block (dirt) and placed it in the monument it didn't trigger any fireworks or a legend of unlocked achievement. I wonder if this is a common issue because with 3 other adventure blocks it did trigger all of that. I have command blocks enabled also.
Thanks again
Block placing has never failed so I'd have to look at the command block feedback. Leave the block on the pedestal anyway.
How do I do that? Because I didn't see any command blocks? And what do you mean by block placing?
Would you like screenshots?
Block placing on the monument is very reliable. It can only fail if the block is placed incorrectly, if render distance is too low, or if command blocks are not disabled. More info in the spoiler.
In order to troubleshoot, you would need to go under the Mausoleum and check the relevant command blocks. If you're familiar with how they work you can assume what happened from the output. It'd be difficult for me to help you without actually going into the world. But you can continue playing anyway. This won't ruin your save file. If you expect anything should have happened and it doesn't, just come back here, but you should be fine.
This map was amazing! I've been playing for like 4 hours and i've only gotten 4 adventure monument blocks..
But i've already got ALL of the wool! Wasnt that much of a challenge if you ask me.. I only encountered one problem so far, the light blue, yellow and lime wools dont give me anything when i placed them, its either theres no reward or somethings broken.. Everything else is going fine!

What's your render distance at? I'm curious. Other than that, I'm glad you're having fun!
Just want to say that I love the map and some friends and I are actually using it as kind of an SMP server. It makes for some awesome fun!
Anyways, I'm recording it and thought you might like to check it out. Granted, the first episode is a bit short because of prep, but I think it's interesting nevertheless. The series really picks up in the second episode - we start tackling dungeons and exploring. (The pyramids are my favorite monument so far!)
The series is due to be released every Tuesday and Thursday at 3 PM EST. Check it out on my channel or ! We're trying to do one wool or monument block for each session.
Also, sorry if the formatting is a bit off. Last time I posted was many years ago and I have forgotten all the formatting rules.
You're very welcome! Thank you for making such a cool map!
Also, we just found a gigantic underground cavern where the ground seems to be supported by arches. Really was not expecting that at all. Despite looking like a gateway to Satan's domain, we have dubbed it "The Landfill." We will be making trips to dump junk there periodically.
I have a small problem relating to the spawn points
Put your spoiler here.OK i built my house at spawn since it would be easy to find and i will never lose it, beacause of this, most if not all of the area around me has been explored, so i need to travel further away to find more stuff. I ventured far away (in my sense) to a bushy area. After travelling through for a bit, i came across a tiny opening in the middle of the bushland, and in the opening were 3 wolfs trapped in glass cages and a **** load of enemies around so i decided to quit save and play again later. When i returned i found a switch asking if i wanted to change the spawn point to the current location, i did so i would be able to locate my stuff if i were to die. After this i travelled a short distance to find the christ the redeemer statue, then i ventured into the desert and came across a thing asking me if i wanted to return to spawn, naturally because i was far away, and my inventory was full, i went back, put away my stuff and saved and quit because i had to go to bed. Now today when i came back on i died and found myself back at the clearing and realised the spawn was set to this location so naturally i flicked the swithch so the orginal spawn point was active, i then proceeded to kill myself by wandering into a pack of skeltons with knockback bows, but when i respawned i didnt respawn back at the orginal spwan point, i respawned at the clearing i just killed myself at i double checked the lever was in the right spot, killed myself a bunch more times but i keep spawning in the clearing. This comes to my question, is there anyway to make the orginal spawn point active so when i die i go back to the orginal spawn point? btw Im really enjoying the playthrough so far being a fan of skyrim has its perks
Dear Mondy or Who it may concern, Thank you so much for this incredible map. I have been playing it for the past 4 days and I don't see it ending any time soon. I just found Chic Chen Itza and I am so amazed! Everything is so beautiful and I love trying to figure out what I have to do. I defeated Ixion and was happy to complete the first quest and side quest. This is so fun and has brought back my love of Minecraft. Its also nice that you don't have to download any mods. FYI for all the players, I tried to go into a saved game while in Forge and with all my mods loaded for 1.7.2. It worked but wasn't playable as there were no rewards in the chests. There were also a bunch of pink hibiscus all over the place. I took the save off and redownloaded the map. It all works. I do wish I could use a mapping mod and set waypoints. If you have any advice on how to do it let me know. Since my forge version didn't work I am afraid to mess up my vanilla save. I love this map! Thank you thank you thank you!
Hi all, first time posting. I downloaded wayward wonders and while out exploring, I came across a skeletal elder at the top of a very high mountain. I tried looking up what it was and if there was anything I needed to do and came up empty. Figured someone out there might be able to help me out (m0ndy???).... Please do

Yes! There are spawn setting locations near the wonders. Find them to set your spawn to your location or to the original spawn.

8 chunks, can you explain the wools not working problem?
Well in order for certain mechanics to work, everything involved has to be loaded. For example, if redstone is loaded but the blocks that the redstone targets are not loaded, it will say it can't execute commands on things "outside of the world." It doesn't know if things exist if they are not loaded. So, render distance is important for certain parts of the map. Everything was tested to work on at least 10 chunks.
Overall a pretty fun map, only got 4 blocks of wool (those bedrock mines are horrible though) with a bit over 10 or 15 hours of gameplay I guess.
Day One: Finally got the location and coordinates for the yellow wool. Got my trusty wolf and my horse with diamond armor with me in case something bad happens.
Day Two: I arrived at the location of the yellow wool. Villagers have warned me about the bedrock caves below the village, saying that no one comes out alive. Currently doing some more exploration around the village before dwelling down into the depths of these caves.
Day Three: I went down the well and found myself in the bedrock caves. The place smelled like death and the ashes of creepers. I left my horse and the wolf on the surface for in case something bad happens in these mines.
Day Four: I came across a long abandoned mine shaft. The place is filled with spiders and all the devious monsters. I keep dwelling further down into the caves for the wool. It has to be here somewhere.
Day Five: Reached the end of the mine shafts only to find true horror; an underground graveyard with the bodies of fallen miners and explorers. There are multiple pathways and I'm taking my guess with the most right one.
Day Six: Still haven't found the wool, but the beauty of glimmering emeralds and diamonds on the floor, walls and ceilings are a beautiful sight to behold. I must not lose track of my true purpose here despite the beauty of these bedrock caves.
Day Seven: Found another long abandoned mineshaft. There are many abandoned railroad tracks and chests with bones and old bread in them. It doesn't look like there is any sign of the yellow wool nearby. But I keep going on.
Day Nine: More diamonds and emeralds, I feel as if I have been here before. My food is starting to run low and I only have a handful of torches left. I hear the howls of the dead miners not too far off in the distance. Maybe I'm going crazy. Maybe I'm not. I just have to keep looking for the wool.
Day Eleven : Still haven't found the wool. I've resided on eating cave mushrooms in order to satisfy my hunger. So many diamonds but still no yellow wool. Have to keep looking.
Day Fourteen? : Back in the mineshafts, I've been here to many times... time. I think I lost track of time... tracks. So many railroad tracks. So many of them.
Day Eighteen? : My eyes are starting to grow tired. I had a vision last night of death. I feel weak and abandoned. Maybe they were right. Maybe no one gets out of here alive...
Day Unknown : I'm back to the underground graveyard. I see a small hole in the wall just tiny enough for me to crawl through. I still haven't found the wool but I'm not giving up. Call me ignorant. Call me crazy. Maybe I am crazy. So many emeralds. so many.
Day Unknown : I found the wool. After weeks of searching I found it. I need to get out of here.
Day Unknown : The air is getting warmer the more I climb up. I can already smell the desert sand from down here. I just have to keep going.
Day Forty-eight: The villagers are cheering for me. One says that it has been 47 days since I've entered the well into hell on earth. My trusty wolf is still with me. But my horse has escaped. It's going to be a long walk home from here.
Day Forty-nine: We got attacked by Desert Dwellers. I barely managed to survive but my wolf is gone. Everything is gone. I don't give a damn about the wool anymore. It's all worthless. All pointless.
Day Fifty-one: I managed to find my way back to the monument. Water has never tasted this good before. I put the yellow wool back in place in the hopes of getting some good loot for my ventures down into hell.
But all I got was a potion.
ggwp. I cried.
Haha! Thanks for the story. Anyway, the bedrock caves have tons of loot throughout them. Giving a big reward for finishing them seemed over the top since there is so much to find down there, but I understand your pain. =P

I saw that but didn't know if there was anything more to the elder than what he is guarding... I take it he can't be killed? Thought maybe all the skeleton heads at the base of the mountain could be used as some sort of payment for his bow or for passage - creating a stairway
Thanks! This map is amazing! so much fun! great job m0ndy!!!
I got to the Temple of Artemis, died a couple of times, and when I came back one time, I got the Tantalus death message. But he was still alive and then I killed him. But I didn't find the block in the chest. Please help.

You can put a white hardened clay on the Taj pedestal.
