A Merchant's Quest 1.8 adventure map v2.6 -- latest version
Bug fix update:
-Fixed the things I broke in v2.5
Hello! I really like this map and Im wondering that if I were to create a Lets Play video for it if you would add it to the post Hey! Im wondering that if I were to post a LP video of this map on my youtube channel is you would add it to the post. Thanks!
After testing this map again I found that there were still about a million problems but they should be fixed now, if they aren't please post the problem to this thread.
It's been a while since I've played a good city-exploration map. You managed it really nicely. By opening different sections at different times, I felt there was a lot to explore, but it wasn't too overwhelming.
The dialogue was really good. Close to zero typos and it was quite witty.
The architecture and world creation were excellent. I felt very immersed, especially in the Understone.
The quests and money system are very cool. I really liked the Mage quest! Also, the mob fights are quite balanced, but there are sometimes too many to handle.
The story progression was really good. I can definitely see Skyrim inspired features throughout the adventure.
Well done
However, I did find some bugs:
The player should be set in the right position and gamemode, and cleared their inventory at the start. Also, am I supposed to start with this much money?
It was a bit tough finding the bandit hideout.
When the wizard says "The mines outside town", he actually means the mines inside town.
Any parkour can be skipped with the enderpearls from the Thieves Guild
It was hard to figure out what "ruins" meant.
There are redstone holes in the King's Library and on the wall in the second section of the Understone
The carrot merchant dialogue repeats once.
In the final Bandit Leader battle, you should get rid of the lava on the floor. I kicked him in and he died, so the Kill detector didn't go off.
This was a great map

Thanks for the feedback and I don't think that those bugs will be too hard to fix.
I think you should spawn in the right place on adventure but I said that last update so would you mind just giving that a quick test? I know you've done like three tests now but it would help.
It should be easier to find the bandit hideout now, I added a trail of redstone.
I changed the wizard's dialogue.
I lessened the number of enderpearls so that you can't just skip all the parkour.
The ruins should be easier to find with some more direction.
I filled in the redstone accesses that I missed before.
fixed the merchant dialogue, apparently somehow the command block activated twice.
I changed the lava to glowstone so you still get the same light without being able to kill the bandit leader so easily.

For example, one of the buildings randomly catches fire and starts burning down the whole city
Also, the spawn stills seems broken. I had to die before I got to the right place.
Additionally, I spawned with 500 levels already on me.
