Your car has broken down so you head to a nearby town to stay the night. You soon learn that something is going on around there. What is that man running the power plant up to? You have to explore the area to find out and stop him!
Description
Crack in the World is a short adventure map focused on story and special effects. In typical adventure fashion, you go around exploring places, talking to NPCs to gather information and items, and unlocking the next part of the story.
I would not consider this map difficult. It can be completed in approximately 30 - 40 minutes.
Features
Awesome cutscenes and special effects
Custom resource pack with block shapes, textures, sounds, and music
An epic finale (no pics here so it's not spoiled ;-) )
Notes
This map is for Minecraft 1.8.3 (no mods).
Please turn off all other resource packs. There is a custom resource pack in the level directory so if you're playing in single player mode then it should load automatically. If you're playing on a server then the 'resources.zip' file in the level directory can be installed just like a normal resource pack on the clients.
If you're playing on a server then you must enable command blocks and set difficulty to normal in the server config.
The map looks best when particles are set to "All" or "Decreased" and your render distance is greater than 7 chunks.
Multiplayer compatible for 2 or 3 players. Three players may be a bit tight on food so you're allowed to stomp on the crops.
The included resource pack contains some royalty free music. If you create a video then please make sure you abide by their licenses. If you're not making money off the video then you should be fine.

wheres the last bomb i found the one in the steam cave area, the one in the lava parkour area, and the on in the middle of the mine i went to the top of the mine but nothing was there and ive looked everywhere in the mine but theres nothing then i head back to town and the mayor just keeps telling me about the controlled blasts and how i must stop them so what do i i need help here if i dont get help then this map gets a 3/10 from me
Yeah, I'm having the same problem the above guy is. I'd really suggest some sort of scoreboard or indication of how many bombs there are, and that you are supposed to buy the stone pick to destroy them with(which is what I did).

Did you guys destroy both blocks of each bomb? If you did and it's still not working then I would really appreciate it if you could zip your copy of the map and send it to me. I didn't see this issue at all in my testing. You can PM me with the details or any questions.
I uploaded an updated version of the map to hopefully address the problem of not detecting the bombs being destroyed. I saw a youtube video by killa7871 where he definitely destroyed the bombs and the next scene didn't trigger. So, there was definitely a bug in the map.
I apologize to you all for the bug
For you guys that are stuck after destroying the bombs, you can execute this command to kick the next scene to start:

im killa7871 and thanks to you sir your map was finished today and i gave it a nice rating a 9/10
Wow over 500 downloads now! I updated the map last night (to v3) to fix a couple bugs where entities weren't spawning if your render distance was set lower than what I tested with.
I would give the map a 7/10 because of the use of the special effects
Thanks for playing! I'm not a geologist, but to answer your question:
"But I don't understand how one bomb making one Volcano erupt causes the entire world to drift off into 4 pieces."
My best guess as to why it split apart would be that the entire force of the (nuclear!) explosion was directed down into the planet. The shockwave probably traveled down through a magma channel into the core of the planet and then outwards, splitting the planet along fault lines. Like how a demolition expert would blast apart a boulder into smaller pieces by planting multiple charges in a line.
Oh, and I love the way you made NPC's talk. Can you tell me how to do that? Please...
You have to report back to the mayor what you've found out. I may release an update to the map because several people had the same question ;).
Thanks! The NPCs use invisible armor stands and the "/entitydata" command to set the custom name of the armor stand to be the text. If you want to peek at the redstone once you've completed the map, you can "tp 0 64 0" and look around. There's a lot there, but it's all labeled.
I'm loving this map so far but I'm stuck at the part where you need to start destroying the bombs. I reported back to the mayor but the cave is still closed

The main post here was getting laggy due to all the embedded videos so I moved all the playthrough videos into another post.

I would say this map is uniqe from the average adventure map, and you have to have that for me to call it good at all
all around nice job.
Thanks! I'm glad you both liked it
Thanks to everyone who downloaded! I also want to thank Skywebz for a nice review of the map for the French-speaking players (Translated to English)
**SPOILER ALERT**
