The Genius Machine is an interactive story created by The VoxelBox.
You are an assistance summoned by the Doctor to help him test the genius machine. His machine allows you to see what it’s like instead the head of a genius. Well, self-proclaimed genius. Well, a generally smart and food-obsessed mad scientist.
And we put it together in only 72 hours as part of our first 72Voxel project!
Wait, what is a 72Voxel?
We create a custom Minecraft map in 72 hours! Through the collective effort of Moesh, Kupo, and Featherblade, we’ve created our first 72Voxel, an interactive story called “The Genius Machine!”
72Voxel allows us to develop new methods of storytelling and game design within Minecraft.
The time limit is an important part of the process. By forcing ourselves to work within a restricted time gives, we learn more about project management and creating achievable goals.
72Voxel also allows us to practice all essential game and mapmaking skills including:
storytelling
game design
level design
original asset creation, both in and out of game
...and breaking stuff!
Why did you make this?
Because we could.
Known Issues
Breaking item frame quickly and repeatedly breaks the map
The final voiceover sometime finishes prematurely
For some reason Optifine breaks the map, we're not sure why, but sorry about that.
just one, we didn't actually test anything for multiple players - there isn't anything intensive, it's pretty much just a short story so you won't have any issues completing anything on your own :]

hum..well it was built within vanilla 1.8 - I don't use optifine myself, so wouldn't be able to fix any bugs based off that :<
