Okay, now I need help killing DoomLoo. This guy seems impossible. I've gotten past the hordes of baby zombies. Past the parkour and the hole (which I fixed the redstone for, the sword had triplicated! LOL) and now I can not kill the skeleton dude. His fire bow is brutal and since fire resistance potions are banned, and I can't use a water bucket, that fire bow feels OP. Even with fire protection IV on my armor. Astral potions, Smite IV sword, Power IV bow... basically, all the best stuff available to me and I.Cannot.Kill this guy. I'm not even sure I'm supposed to; I found myself running around the room looking for a button or something to press. Help!!!

Seeing how you are probably on 1.1 if you had to fix the hopper there meaning you don't have access to the hint system for bosses in 1.2 here you go and to everyone else stuck on bosses in version 1.1:
Btw, the way the hint system works in 1.2 is each time you die you get another hint section for that boss. Warning, yes, spoilers! Only look at the boss you are having trouble with!
Gear/item check:
•Wither's are affected by the smite enchant so a sword with smite will help a lot.
•Projectile and blast protection enchants do not reduce the damage of the Wither's projectiles, only protection does.
•Make sure you have a decent supply of arrows for this fight.
•Any potions you acquired up to this point could be useful but is in no way required.
•Be sure that none of your weapons or armor are close to breaking.
Boss abilities:
•A temporary powerful bow spawns in the middle of the room every minute, this will vanish from the ground and from your inventory so use it quickly. You can tell when it is going to spawn when you hear 3 popping noises or when there is glass falling down toward the platform.
•The four corners of the room have absorption potions spawn once all lamps light up for that corner.
•Two cakes spawn in opposite edges of the room in case you can't stop to eat.
•The two raised platforms near the middle of the room will splash you with regeneration if you stand on them.
•The middle area is either surrounded with air, water, or lava depending on what difficulty you choose.
Hints and strategies:
•Try and make sure you always have the regeneration effect.
•Take advantage of the bow that spawns in the middle, and use that bow when the boss is around 55% health to push her below 50% with to initiate the melee phase.
•It is very hard for the boss to hit you if you keep sprinting away, use this to your advantage.
Gear/item check:
•All monsters in the fight are affected by smite which makes the fight significantly easier.
•I'd suggest using full prot enchanted iron/diamond armor, preferably around protection 3. One piece of fire resistance or projectile protection isn't bad for tanking the skeletons shots too.
•Don't forget to use any armor recipes that you have found so far.
•Any potions you acquired up to this point could be useful but is in no way required.
•Be sure that none of your weapons or armor are close to breaking.
Boss abilities:
•At the start of the fight you will gain temporary buffs including: regen, absorption, fire resistance, strength, and speed.
•The start of the fight includes a chase phase where you have to run to the end to start the boss fight.
•Around every 30 seconds the boss will release baby zombies leashed up to fences and summon another batch of them.
•The boss has a skeleton riding on top of him which slows him down a bit. Once this skeleton is dead the boss will become faster, and each time he releases the baby zombies he will become even faster. Up to a total of 5 times at which point he also gains a strength buff to one hit kill you.
•A cake will keep respawning at the back of the boss's room.
•Both the skeleton and the boss must die to beat the boss fight.
•The skeleton blocks all arrows from hitting the boss, meaning the boss can only be meleed until the skeleton dies.
say Hints and strategies:
•The temporary buffs at the start do not last long, getting to the boss as quick as possible is very important so you can take advantage of the buffs as much as you can.
•Meleeing the boss/skeleton will do much more damage to them than your bow, especially if you still have the strength effect still up. It can be hard to melee them with the skeleton constantly shooting you though, so having your back against a wall can make that easier.
•It is totally possible to rush down this boss quite quickly but it can be very risky.
•Doing some damage to the boss while the skeleton is still riding him will make the 2nd phase not take anywhere near as long, meaning the boss won't speed up as much.
•Running around in circles around the outer edges of the room will make it much harder for the skeleton to shoot you.
Gear/item check:
•All monsters in the fight excluding creepers are affected by smite which makes the fight significantly easier.
•Knockback/punch weapons can be very useful here to quickly get rid of monsters.
•I'd suggest using full prot enchanted iron/diamond armor, preferably at least protection 3.
•Don't forget to use any armor recipes that you have found so far.
•Any potions you acquired up to this point could be useful but is in no way required.
•Be sure that none of your weapons or armor are close to breaking.
Boss abilities:
•This boss goes through a cycle, with each full pass of the cycle making all the abilities slightly tougher up to 4 times. If you manage to get to the start of the 5th cycle the speed at which he uses abilities will double and Vuco will no longer restore the platform.
•At the start of the cycle the boss will jump up and crash land back down, causing blindness/slowness and randomly turning the platform below the player's feet to cobblestone. After 10 seconds the cobblestone will crumble away, leaving holes in the platform. On top of this a splash potion of damage will splash down on any newly formed cobblestone within a second or two.
•During the middle of the cycle he will spawn in zombies and skeletons to aid him. He will also summon in creepers riding chickens from above which will jump down onto the platform, after around a few seconds of them being on the platform all the creepers will blow up at the same time.
•At the end of the cycle Vuco will fully repair the platform.
Hints and strategies:
•Getting the boss down quickly before things get too out of hand is very important. During the later cycles there may be too many monsters wandering around that you will have to just focus on killing the boss before you die and ignoring the monsters as best as you can. In earlier phases however it is very recommended that you kill/knock off the zombies/skeletons that spawn.
•Be very careful of your positioning and try not to stand too close to any holes to avoid getting knocked off. If you do get knocked off and if you are quick enough you can ender pearl back onto it. Again with positioning, try and stay away from creepers as best as you can as they will all blow up after a few seconds.
•Making the boss break the platform at the parts where the monsters spawn at will make any monsters that spawn there just fall to their death making there be less monsters in general.
•Try and maximize the amount of time hitting the boss as best as you can.
Gear/item check:
•I'd suggest using full prot enchanted iron/diamond armor, preferably protection 4.
•Be sure to use a potion of prowess for this fight. You could also use Astral Essence III potions if you have them but they shouldn't be mandatory at all.
•Be sure to use around a sharpness 4 sword for this, unlike the other three bosses, smite has no use for this.
•Using a flame aspect sword for this can cause the boss to teleport away much more often.
•Be sure that none of your weapons or armor are close to breaking.
Boss abilities:
•The boss will start off by spawning harmless and adorable bunnies in the middle which after around 10 seconds will become killer bunnies and start jumping around and attacking you quite viciously. The boss will continue to do this on and off during the fight.
•The boss will also periodically teleport all players to the middle, causing them to stare at him and making them take wither damage and two instant damage ticks.
•Around every 15 seconds the boss has a chance of warping on top of a random player
•If the fight goes on for too long the boss will enter a 2nd phase where he will cause more and more random patches of fire to start appearing everywhere, causing a lot of damage to anyone who stands in them.
•If the fight goes on for even longer he will start spamming thunderbolts on anyone that is still alive.
•The boss will occasionally do the Dinnerbone dance which does absolutely nothing other than the boss constantly flips upside down and rightside up.
say Hints and strategies:
•Kill the bunnies as quick as possible whenever they first spawn so you have less killer bunnies to deal with. Backing up into a corner will make it easier to kill any killer bunnies that come jumping your way.
•Whenever you need to eat food you can shoot the boss with a bow, causing him to teleport away which allows you to eat some in peace.
•Do not stand in the fire.
Gear/item check:
•Using full cosmic armor for this fight is highly encouraged.
•Be sure to use a cosmic bow and sword or better weapon for this. Again flame aspect can be terrible for this because the boss will teleport away more often. A smite weapon could be useful for the monsters that the boss spawns.
•Be sure to use a potion of prowess for this fight. You could also use Astral Essence III potions if you have them but they shouldn't be mandatory at all.
•If any of your armor or weapons are breakable then make sure they are not almost broken.
Boss abilities:
•Exiel is extremely similar to how you first fought him, however there are a few differences.
•He will summon wither skeletons now instead of bunnies.
•He will no longer set the room on fire after a period of time.
•He has a higher chance of randomly teleporting to players.
•He will occasionally become enraged for just a few seconds which will cause him to do a lot more melee damage and knockback.
•Vilune will occasionally give you strength 3 and freeze the boss for a limited amount of time.
Hints and strategies:
•Make sure to strike the boss when you are given the strength 3 buff to do massive damage.
•Kill the wither skeletons when they spawn, you don't want the wither skeletons to be up when the boss forces you to stare at him.
•Whenever you need to eat food you can shoot the boss with a bow, causing him to teleport away which allows you to eat some in peace.
Gear/item check:

•If any of your armor or weapons are breakable then make sure they are not almost broken.
Boss abilities:
•You are given 5 health potions for this instead of the normal 3.
•The boss will summon powerful zombies from the lava.
•The boss will periodcally summon a wave of fireballs at random locations. Each time he uses this ability there will be more fireballs and they will also do a lot more damage.
•The boss has a high chance of teleporting to a random player every 15 seconds.
•If the fight goes on for too long you will instantly die.
•The boss will become enraged for 10 seconds periodcally and will become faster and do massive melee damage and knockback.
Hints and strategies:
•Whenever you need to eat food you can shoot the boss with a bow, causing him to teleport away which allows you to eat some in peace.
•Avoid getting hit when the boss enrages by either running away or shooting him whenever he comes close.
•Kill the zombies right when they get on the platform as they will deal massive damage.
•The first two waves of fireballs shouldn't do much damage normally, but the last two can be a fair bit deadly so try to avoid those. Be sure to block with your sword too right before they hit you to reduce their damage by 1/2.
General hints:
•Be sure to use the three health potions that you are given
•If you jump while hitting monsters in melee you will do critical hits with any hit done while in the falling part of the jump, which increases the damage done by the hit by 50%
Thank you for the hint, although the boss still sounds a bit OP but I'll keep trying I guess. I don't have any diamond armor left. Now, I haven't been on the "optional" airship, so maybe I'll go look there for loot. I'm also thinking of building a grinder, so I can put level 30s on all my gear and try to get the best stuff I can. I've thought about restarting the map in 1.2, but I'm so far along. Don't misunderstand, this map is FANTASTIC. But this boss has me, frankly, pretty damn dang discouraged.
Hmmm... in your opinion, would it be advantageous to have a second player help with this boss battle?

To be honest when I tested that boss fight in multiplayer I found it a little bit harder in the sense that meleeing the boss was much harder because he would keep chasing after one person even if getting hit by another and also there is the whole server lag thing depending on how good the server is. At the same time though if he keeps focusing on one player they could deal with the boss and the other player with all the baby zombies or something like that. It could depend on team work too really.
What part are you getting stuck at though? Are you managing to kill the skeleton? Are you trying to melee the boss/skeleton while you still have the strength buff or just using a bow?
I'm not using my bow because strength potions only affect your melee damage. I just can't get enough dps on him to offset the flame of his bow, on top of the mini-zombies. I get down there with my buffs still intact (have gotten quick at the first part LOL) then I start running and meleeing him as I can. I can't tell you which one I'm mostly hitting, because I tend to be flaming and I can't see. But I got more recipes, and I'm going to work on putting a good suit of armor together with the right combo of buffs/debuffs to be most effective. I hope. That's my next plan, anyway.

One of the buffs you get at the start is fire resistance which really helps against the flame bow of the skeleton, but if you don't get to the boss quick enough then you have to fight him without it which would be a fair bit painful >< I'm pretty sure it's possible, if you go super quick, to actually kill the skeleton before you even run out of fire resistance.
Feel free to use the version 1.3 recipes btw if you wanted to go through the process of importing them, it should only take a few minutes and I posted the instructions there on how to do it a few posts back. ^^ (Also make sure you use the villagers that you summoned in and not the actual system) Otherwise if you don't just make sure you get a mix of all 3 armor sets.
I think I'm going to work on a grinder (I have some spawners I saved for it) and get some good equipment enchanted (it looks as though I can enchant the armor I get from the recipes, which is awesome). It'll be good to work on something else besides the boss. But if I do all that you suggested, and I still can't kill the boss, I do have the means to record an attempt or two if you want to see what's happening.
Oh yeah, and if I do summon the villagers for the 1.3 armor, where do you suggest I put them? I'm confused on that. Forgive me if I'm dense; I'm getting over being sick the last couple of days and the brain isn't all the way back yet. LOL

The summon commands already have locations chosen for them right beside the item creators in each individual recipe room ^^ But yeah, feel free to record it if you can't kill it even after all of that.
Alright, just killed Witley, and that boss was.... an experience. I liked the mechanics, and the way the hint system was set up. I like the map so far, and your building ability has surely increased in the making of Intersection 1.

Yeah the first few areas were literally the first few areas I ever made with MCEdit so that was a bit of a learning experience lol. As far as the bosses go I think they also get better as the map progresses as I gained more knowledge in how to go about doing them and started using more commands and such. Glad you are enjoying it so far! ^^
Maybe you should add a hard option for the bosses. Plus there wasn't really any "replayability" or replay value.
As far as adding a hard mode for every boss goes it's a bit too late honestly for that even if I would like to, the 2nd map though I'm for sure going to have easy/normal/hard mode versions of each boss. As far as there being no replay value goes I'm assuming you mean that with bosses or? You for sure only get a fun factor out of fighting a boss more than once.
I finally defeated the boss but it took a ton of effort. Including using a fire resist potion a witch dropped that I'd been holding on to. The skeleton shot me so repeatedly I couldn't get close to him. Super damn annoying. Anyway, I can't find intersection 3. I got the reward for defeating the boss, but now what? If it's obvious, forgive me.

Great job! Yeah hitting the skeleton can be really tricky unless you have your back to the wall there. The next area/intersection 3 is beside the final structure (to the right of it) you will see a path going down to it.
I'm liking your map so far, I made an LP of it. I was hoping you could put it on your section?
Sure thing! It might be a bit yet though unfortunately since the post editing has some issues with it ><
"Sorry for the inconvenience, at present we have a small number of issues with our post editor. The development team are aware and are working on rolling out a new editor that resolves these issues..."
Two out of three bosses complete for my next map! (Tales of Nira) I must say this 2nd boss is probably the coolest boss I've done yet, let's just say airships are involved. =D If I keep up a really good pace it "should" be released either Friday night or Saturday.

By the way, in intersection 3, the info box in the bridging worlds didn't include, "next area". Unless I'm using the wrong version.

•Be sure to use the three health potions that you are given
•If you jump while hitting monsters in melee you will do critical hits with any hit done while in the falling part of the jump, which increases the damage done by the hit by 50%
damndang discouraged.Hmmm... in your opinion, would it be advantageous to have a second player help with this boss battle?

To be honest when I tested that boss fight in multiplayer I found it a little bit harder in the sense that meleeing the boss was much harder because he would keep chasing after one person even if getting hit by another and also there is the whole server lag thing depending on how good the server is. At the same time though if he keeps focusing on one player they could deal with the boss and the other player with all the baby zombies or something like that. It could depend on team work too really.
What part are you getting stuck at though? Are you managing to kill the skeleton? Are you trying to melee the boss/skeleton while you still have the strength buff or just using a bow?

Great job! Yeah hitting the skeleton can be really tricky unless you have your back to the wall there. The next area/intersection 3 is beside the final structure (to the right of it) you will see a path going down to it.
Sure thing! It might be a bit yet though unfortunately since the post editing has some issues with it ><
"Sorry for the inconvenience, at present we have a small number of issues with our post editor. The development team are aware and are working on rolling out a new editor that resolves these issues..."
Is your new map going to be like this one? I'm totally hyped for it.
