Hey Mithey it's been awhile since I replied and it seems you are doing good so far, but if there is one thing I would like to see in this map, it would be npc quest-lines. Basically where you can encounter npcs in the map and they have their own separate quest-line apart from the main story itself. When you complete one of these it will give you the option to have befriend the said npc and if you like, the npc can assist you in boss battles or other things. I also want to tell you that watching you create these maps is an inspiration to me and I love your work! Keep up the good work with Chunk Restore and I hope to hear some more news soon!
Hello, I've been lurking these few days but I've been here quite a while, if you still read these, is there any plan on moving Terra Restore 2 onwards or are you focusing on Chunk Restore right now?
That is definitely one of the harder areas. I would leave torches everywhere you go so you know where you have been, if you still can't find it, I would just suggest creative/spectator mode and just trying to find the general are it's in and start from a good place so you don't just cheat your way to getting it.
I'm confused by the wording on the main post - is Terra Restore 2 going to have more done on it or not?
I was waiting for it to be done before playing it but if it's not going to be then I'll play it as-is.
"Not finished/discontinued" can be read as either "Not finished, and is discontinued" or "Not finished or discontinued (Not finished, but not discontinued either)" so confuse.

Terra Restore 2 is not finished and neither will it be continued. If you want to know why look back at older posts, there you should be able to find some, but if not then don't worry Mithey is making a better map.
Hey Mithey! Sorry to hear that Terra Restore 2 will be discontinued. Though it is understandable you have your reason and real life is not always friendly… x(
Anyway, what do you think about the upcoming Marketplace for Minecraft pe/win10 edition?
No need to say that this is very important for content creators like you if you want to make a living by making custom maps, you might want to adjust your plan for the Chunk Restore.
I myself are super excited to see this coming, and also just want to hear what your opinion is. Cheers!

There will more than likely be main quests and side quests. I might have some NPCs move into your base with you, I'll have to see when I get to that part of development.

Just Chunk Restore, Terra Restore 2 will likely be staying in it's current state unfortunately.

I definitely have some interest in it, though I'm likely going to stick with what I'm doing for now at least and seeing where it goes and how PE/Windows 10 progresses. PE/Windows 10 is missing /scoreboard, entity tags, structure blocks, spawn chunks, a lot of proper development tools like MCEdit from my understanding, and just a ton of stuff in general. My plans with Chunk Restore just wouldn't really work with it in it's current form. On top of that I also don't have any way of getting PE/Windows 10 and would have to probably buy Windows 10 to get it.
Again I'm likely going be continuing with what I'm doing now with map commissions each week along with Chunk Restore itself. If commissions stop working for me in a few months I'll likely switch over from doing commissions to doing maps on PE/Windows 10. Likely in the form of survival (TR1 like) or PvE or CTM maps. I kind of feel like adventure maps need a lot of command support to be really good which that version of MC doesn't quite have yet, but is getting there. I'm also considering at some point making a Terra Restore 1 Remastered map for it which would keep the same flow roughly but would be completely remade from scratch and way more polished up. And if I did something like that and it took off, maybe I'd even go ahead and remake a Terra Restore 2 on it and actually finish it, who knows though.
Anyway, we will see where it all goes. I'm hoping Chunk Restore and Patreon itself will take off a decent enough amount that I can just work on those things, but that may not ever happen to a great enough extent that I need. Maybe with the marketplace opening up people might be willing to do things like Patreon even more, especially to try and keep me and others developing on Java.
Also btw with the marketplace being a thing now I feel like Chunk Restore may or may not be my final main map for java. I'd still probably do up mini maps and commissions here and there, but probably not anything too big or serious.

By 'it' are you referring to the Win 10 version of MC or PC Minecraft in general? Just curious as not everyone likes Win 10.
Either way, looking forward to any future maps by you
hi? there seems to be a lack of posts here, im getting worried about this good sounding project and the creator of the project, Mithey
Heya, I'm still around just pretty busy. I'm still working on maps here too, I've just been planning on releasing a bunch of them all at once when I get the chance. Chunk Restore has been slowly getting there too in my free time, the map will likely come out some time after 1.12 is released which is apparently coming up soon. In 1.12 functions are being added in so we can basically do command block stuff in a program like notepad now which has a bunch of advantages to it. When 1.12 hits I'll likely be putting a ton of the logic in that map into such function files. The whole intro and intro dungeon is now done which I'm really happy with, I'm now working on the player base side of things. The development of the map should hopefully start speeding up a bit here now ^^
Heya hey everyone, just a quick update. I'm going to be focusing on Chunk Restore a lot more for probably 2-3 weeks here and getting the first version of the map out. I still can't say when exactly it will be ready yet, but I should be able to make some pretty significant progress in the next few weeks. Here is basically everything major that needs to be done:
Green = done
Red = not yet done
Core system...
Custom leveling
Death handling
Music
Custom season/time/weather
Area switching
Player online/offline handling
Map updater
Memory
Lobby
Options
Test town
Item template
Item balancing planned out
Intro scene
Intro dungeon
Intro boss
Optimization
Player base
Environment designed
wireframed
Blocks filled in
Smoothed out
Block texture added in
Details added in, ie: trees, grass, rocks...
Structures added in
Items added
Player base intro scene
Update map to 1.12
Basic quest system (using 1.12 advancements)
Basic custom fishing system
Road area to 1st dungeon
Chest system
Basic recipe system
1st Dungeon
Dungeon event
Basic overworld
Basic town building
Testing
Tweaking
I'll try and do a quick progress update each week here and we will see how quickly I can tackle through all of that ^^
Woah, I'm really looking forward to the map, it's been awhile. Another thing, take care Mithey. I know not only you are making Chunk Restore, but you're also hardly making maps for PopularMMOs. Don't work too hard and take care alright?
Heya hey everyone, a quick weekly update on Chunk Restore. I got one of the major tasks finished here this week, and that being the whole player base being designed. That task is of course one of the biggest ones on the list, so next week I should be able to get more than one thing off the list.
As far as natural health regeneration in the map is concerned, I've actually recently decided to go with the normal 1.9+ regeneration this time around. In all my other maps up to this point I've stuck with the slower 1.8 regeneration since it's way easier to balance.
With the 1.9+ normal regeneration I'll be able to do way more with the food system, make enemies which are capable of doing more bursty damage, make it so food is way more of a priority, and of course reduce player down time of waiting around for health to regenerate. Food is going to be a pretty big focus actually in the map with there being a variety of ways of obtaining it, there being custom food, and there being multiple tiers of it. Enemies doing more bursty damage should hopefully create way more close call and intense moments. Food will be more of a priority since my 1.8 system barely had you using any food at all since the system didn't take away any hunger for regenerating hearts like it's suppose to.
Right now I have it planned so that you will be able to gain food in a variety of ways. Such as:
The custom fishing system which will allow you to fish up different things in different areas
There being food in the wide open for you to collect. Sometimes reaching it might be difficult which is where you may need to for example use a fishing rod to pull apples out of a tree.
Chests
Shops
Monsters
Custom cooking crafting system, where you can combine food materials into custom food
Some of the above can of course respawn too when a new in game season or year hits.
I'm actually thinking of having it so that there will be no food farms in the map this time around. This means no animal breeding and no crop growing. Though there might eventually be a player base upgrade where you can visit someone in your base each season or year for a bit of free bread or whatever.
I'm really hoping 1.12 will come out soon since I've been avoiding using snapshots now for major maps, and I'm probably going to be tweaking a number of command block related stuff when it comes out. Anyway, that's all for now ^^
Will Chunk Restore feature co-op? Its so fun with friends '-'

where is the terra restore in the sewers. I've literally scoured the entire area and found nothing.
I live!

Yeah, the map will be compatible for 1-4 players, and semi-compatible for 5+ players though I would not recommend that many people xD

Looking forward to it Mithey You're one of my favorite mappers and your stuff is always fun.
I wander through CTM maps, getting lost, fighting monsters, and somehow accomplishing things. I'm never too sure how, but I do. Come join me, pets!

I can't wait! Every update makes me more excited. If the base is anything like it was in TR2, then I'll be very pleased.
