The best thing for you to do is go into creative mode and fly up above the ship. About 200 blocks above the ship is the designated spawn point. There you can find the recipes and begin the tutorial. Remember to change your game to adventure mode again when you have reached the spawn zone. This is a known issue with Codename: Block that will be fixed in the next iteration.
I actally have already tried going to the glass platform above the ship, and it worked. But the tutorial doesn't work becouse there is a mistake in the redstone, An input is supposed to go trough a command block, and then come out at one point, for that you need a epeater at the end of the command block, and that repeater wasn't there. This made the mission to go to floor 1 impossible, i have seen this same thing in IDED's letsplay, so fixed it. After fixing that i got a mission to go to floor 2 to get an ID card, but i found out it tested for you to go inside the 3d printer, wich is impossible... But eventually i fixed a lot of redstone, and realy enjoyed the map! The resource pack is awesome, the 3d printer is cool, and the system with the night vision goggles is also very good ! I hope all of the bugs in this map will be fixed, and it will become even better. I can't wait for the map to be 100% complete, it's so awesome!
I also found out that the spawn bug is there because the spawnpoint is set to inside the ship, this can be fixed by setting the spawnpoint at the spawn platform, and changing the spawnpoint after starting and being teleported to the ship
Wow! You've gone above and beyond the call of duty there! Thanks for giving us such specific solutions. Normally when we ask for testers we just need people to tell us what's not working and we have a look around to see what the problems are, but it always helps if you find the solution yourself too!
As I said, we'll try to get Codename: Crafting released sometime in early December. It's already about 3/4 done, it's just finding the time to tie off the loose ends so we don't have half an experience thrown in without any explanation, because as people have noted that's not much fun.
Did you happen to have any FPS issues when you were playing the game? Were there big sections of lag when aboard the ship? Were you playing in single player or hosting a server with friends?
I have played on singleplayer, and about the fps, there indeed is something weird going on: Inside the ship there is no lag, but on the first floor my fps drops down from 30-50 to 8-20 this also happens when i'm outside of the ship, but when i go back from florr 1 to another floor, the fps immediately get higher, so there is lag outside and on floor 1 , but it's not annoying. The 3d printer also makes my fps lower.
Just spent a couple of hours going through bugs to confirm their fixes. Most bugs identified, just a matter of fixing them up! We think this process is more important than implementing new features - we need to constantly refine already existing features so that we can re-test them in each update. So, fingers crossed the tutorial, the 3D Printer and A.R.T.H.U.R. will all be functioning more reliably in the next snapshot, Codename: Crafting!
The resource pack for Codename: Crafting is ready to go, but I'll hold fire on uploading it until the map is a little closer to completion.
Just thought I'd post a little update on where we are with E4R7H! Duskreaper has broken up for the holiday period now so hopefully we'll be able to push the final few bug-fixes from Codename: Block so that a more functional release is available for players. As I said, the resource pack is already ready, and I've been tinkering with the current map, running playtests and checking redstone to pinpoint all errors and their fixes. Unfortunately, most of the complicated redstone was implemented by our chief redstone engineer (read: not me), so some bits are very difficult for me to fix. That said, it shouldn't take too long to get a functional version of the map ready. Codename: Crafting won't feature many new gameplay aspects from a technical perspective, but we will be repairing features that were SUPPOSED to be present in this version and aren't, so there will definitely be new content for players to try out!
Hey I am playing this map with a friend and we want to know if we are missing something but being in adventure mode, we can't get a hold of sand, therefore iron, and so forth. Basically, all we've managed to do is find a bunch of weird structures and we don't know what to do from here.
Initial commands now set player to adventure mode
Tutorial thoroughly brushed up
Lots of bugfixes for the 3D printer
Music added to resource pack
Rotating title screen images added to resource pack
L.O.U.I.S.E. now correctly detects when you leave the ship
Sand to iron conversion rate changed to 25:1
Mission Objectives (from Engine Control) update as tasks are completed
End no longer triggers immediately when all conditions are met
Village keep now accessible
Lots of inescapable craters filled in
Oxygen upgrades now display correct upgrade numbers
Command block on Floor 3 removed
Initial keycard creation process sped up
Crafting Sheets named
Starting chests are locked until appropriate
Removed Haroldbrine
Thanks for sticking with us through this bumpy alpha stage! The 3D printer has had a huge overhaul, and the tutorial is now functioning properly, so players can get a better understanding of the map. This update was mostly about fixing systems that had been implemented but weren't working rather than adding a lot of new features - we will save those for the next update.
Get downloading! We're particularly excited to hear your feedback on the music. We spent a lot of time searching the net for an excellent collection of songs, so do let us know if you like them!
As always, if you come across any bugs, don't hesitate to let us know. It helps make the map better.

Good work with the update. Spawn worked as intended, the 3D-printer seems to work perfectly (at least all the recipes I tried worked) and the music fits in nicely. I really had to pay attention to it to actually hear it, so nice job!
Can't wait to really give this a playthrough once it's done!
When you equip your goggles and oxygen, she will make a remark. As you leave the ship with your night vision goggles and oxygen, she has one final line. That's the official end of the tutorial.
Awesome map! I think it's the best map I've played, and it's not even finished. I love the oxygen system, and the night vision (although I almost never use the goggles). However, there are a few things that could change.
It was very hard to know exacly what to do. I read here in the comments that you needed to fill the thrusters with lava and find the navigation system, so that's okay. Maybe there something in the map to tell you what to do. I never read the book except for the recipes. Also, if you don't pick up the book before you spawn, you are kinda screwed. And we spawned inside the ship, so we didn't know exacly what to do. There were no buttons on the teleporter so we couldn't do anything untill we found out from a video that the spawnpoint was actually far up in the sky.
And another thing I was wondering. What exacly is the villager for? We transformed a zombie into a villager, but can't trade or interract with him in any way.
When you update the map, will there be an easy way to go from the old version to the new one? Because it'd suck to start all over every time it updates. And another tip would be to make a FAQ on the forum so that we can read on the main post instead of going through the comments
Thank you for the very flattering and insightful post!
As far as your comments - I'll try to address them as best as I can for the moment!
The tutorial is planning to be expanded along with the game, incorporating all of the new ideas we implement so it should hopefully become clearer in what to do. The idea is that LOUISE will inform you of anything still outstanding any time you attempt to power up the S.S. Retribution.
The spawn is an ongoing issue - we are trying to get to understand spawning logistics, but as far as the literature goes currently, the spawn area should be large enough to allow all players to spawn in it. We will look into this in the future as we progress with more alpha releases.
The villager system is one to be implemented in the future, the current plan is to allow players to make 'cleanse' villagers and put them to work around the ship and planet. An example of this would be having a villager operate the iron mine, speeding up iron production. In future updates broken areas will be added, including breaking two of the thrusters and the mine. The player will need to collect the resources required and then put a villager to work repairing the area for added bonuses. Please do bare in mind this is release 0.3 and as such is very early in the development period!
When we update the map, the easiest way to transfer the file would be to /give yourself the materials you had before - as unfortunately there isn't a simple way to map the files over each other. That said, the idea is that the game should be complete-able and give you a score that can be compared to all future versions for you to improve on!
We are very pleased you are enjoying the map though and love to hear comments that people have!
Thanks for checking by. Don't worry, I have a note written with the design documents to remind you once the game is completed. It is unlikely E4R7H will be finished for a few months yet - we're just about to hit the exam period, so we don't have much free time at the moment. That said, we will be continuing with E4R7H once we get some time to do so.

Last she told me was that I should try out the night vision goggles and oxygen outside. or something like that
