Hello there, you seem to be new here and don't know how map threads work. I'm planning on making my own thread with most of the info you'll see here, but it isn't made yet. I'd like to try and help you, because your map seems really neat and sounds like you put a lot of effort into it. First, a couple things I noticed:
Anonymous Batman is correct, but I'll get to that later. Please, Please, Do Not Capitalize Like This. It Distracts Your Audience From Actually Reading What You Are Typing And It Pisses A Lot Of People Off. So don't do it. Seriously though, many people stop reading what they see that, and just comment rage about how silly the capitalization is, and pay no attention to whatever your forum thread is saying.
So, despite that I still need to make a thread about this, I'm going to try to tell you how to get people to download, play, and give you feedback on your map. Also, this is not just my two cents, I've spent a fair amount of time on these forums PMing/talking with map-makers who get downloads and paying attention to what causes those downloads, other than simple fame (which can help, but to most of us, it can be irrelevant). So here is some info;
First of all, what is the one place people are downloading your map from. THIS THREAD. Make it pretty, make me stay here for longer than 2 seconds, you know what I'm saying? You're selling your map from here, and right now, you're like a car salesman who asked me to buy a car he hasn't even shown me yet and the only thing he's told me is "This is a cool car" Well, not the greatest analogy, but you see what I'm getting at. This is the internet. The attention span of 90% of everyone here is about 5 seconds unless they see some reason to stay here, like looking at pictures, or reading text. You don't have either of those things, so very few people are going to to be interested enough to click your link. You have some text, but its hard to understand, reads really badly, and is just, sort of unprofessional. As said, capitalizing like that is unnecessary, and does nothing to really help your case. Well, anyway, here is a copypasted portion from another thread with the same problem, which I think will help you too:
I have no idea what your map is? A parkour map? My first thought is, "wow, damn lot of those". So, how is your map different? You say it is different because ______? Pretty neat, how do I learn more, but I'm too lazy to click on the download link (lots of people feel this way, just FYI)? who knows. If you want your map to get downloaded, you need 3 things for the most part:
1. Lots of details: challenges, basic summary of map, lots of lists and sentences with many commas. List the features of your map, What theme is your parkour map, you parkour through the city? What makes your map so much fun? Is the parkour in space with jump boost but also with slowness? What do YOU think will make me, a forum user, download your
2. Screenshots: absolutely necessary (you don't have any, which is actually no longer allowed in the maps section. I believe you MUST have screenshots if you post a downloadable map here). There are only two things I do to map threads without screenshots. Post a comment like this, or leave immediately. Make sure to document your map, but do not spam. (For a parkour map, put images of the spawn, part of the parkour course, a big overhead shot of the course showing everything, and a shot of the finished area). Finally, the great google will tell you how to post screenshots, just if you were wondering.
3. 20+ posts: This one is weird, but people need to be able to check your reputation as a poster. With you as you are now, with 2 posts, it's impossible to know who you are. Generally, we (forum browsers/possible map players) have no idea what type of person you are, and want to find out by looking at your other posts. You could be an alternate account of someone who got banned earlier for posting viruses, or you could be a minecraft player who made a map and wants to share it with other people. So it is good to have a high post count.
I hope this helps, and you need 2 or all of these things at least to have a chance of getting more than 3-5 downloads. If you only have 2 of those things, be sure to have those 2 things really well to supplement the missing point. As a final note, for the most part, no one cares how long the first post is for a minecraft map. Lots of people want to know as much as possible about the map before downloading anything.I hope this helps you get more map downloads, or keep people from getting viruses. Finally, screenshots are actually REQUIRED to post anything in the maps section involving a downloadable map, and I am saying that again, because it needs to be done.
Thank you and sorry for the bit of rudeness above, I'm trying to help and a lot comes out.
