Tired of new OpenWorld Maps that takes years until it's finished? I waited to present my map after 400 hours of work complete!
About the Map:
You are in Arenor, a province in an alternate Tamriel (continent of The Elder Scrolls). You have an open world with 72 Quests ( Main/Guild/Special/Side Quests) and many NPC's. Gates to the End is a big adventure!
The only thing you need is the awesome mod Custom NPC's from Noppes, which gives many options for storytelling and Quests.
Story:
Mainquest - Stop the plans of the mysterious Enderman Lord Elijah who tries to release the Daedric-Lords on Nirn with the connection of Nirn and the Daedra-Realms with the "End".
Mage Guild - Join the Mage Guild and find out more about the true goal of the Archmage
Protectors of Arenor (Warrior Guild) - Help Castiel to destroy the Cuélebre and their leader.
Apocalyptic Horsemen - To help a small village called Grumash, you challenge the Death itself!
The Ebony Warrior (NEW from Enhanced Update) - After completing the 4 Questlines above, talk with Divina in Oxengravv to challenge the legendary Ebony Warrior, your strongest opponent.
Informations:
IT'S A SINGLEPLAYER MAP! Multiplayer won't work right.
I can only give support on minecraftforum.net, planetminecraft & minecraft.de
Almost all other sites that uploaded my map did it without my agreement.
Rules:
Don't break blocks, play in Survival and read all informations in the tutorial!
Never play on normal or hard. Only on easy. If some fights are too hard for you, try first to get better items & healing potions. If this doesn't help, try peaceful, but it ruins most bossfights.
World-Map:
The world is divided into 3 difficulty regions. (Easy/Medium/Hard)
You can enchant your Items now with different books. The level of the books in shops depends on the difficulty region from the village. You can get the best books only in the mage guild. Complete the Mage Guild Questline to get the strongest Enchantments!

-5 NEW QUESTS! (More informations in the Thread at "Story")
-Redone Tutorial (With a book, less signs and a tutorial quest)
-Completly removed Bronze coins
-Redone all Shops:
-Alchemy Shops are selling different Potions instead of ingredients
-Weapon Shops are more unique
-Trading Shops with buyable Diamonds and Emeralds
-Hunter and Horse Shops with updated prices
-Removed Enchantment tables and added many different Enchantment books at various places (More info in the thread at "Informations")
-Improved Followers (you can't hit them anymore and they are cheaper)
-Redone ALL enemy drops. (Reduced most things)
-Updated region of Woodar and Oxengravv (more trees and flowers)
-Redone the Swamp (Less holes and new Enemies)
-All Quests have more informations in the questlog
-Locked Dungeons are now showing the needed Quest
-Updated all Dungeon and Quest Rewards
-Rebalanced many Enemies
-Added a ladder in Oxengravv to get out of the water
-Fixed fall damage of the Frozen King

-Fixed a strange bug in the apocalyptic Horsemen questline

The map is 1.7.10 only since the Enhanced Update. You need recommended Forge 1.7.10 and CustomNPC's 1.7.10bVersion, the newer c version doesn't work correctly with my map: http://minecraft.curseforge.com/mc-mods/221826-custom-npcs/files/2214730
I recommend my mixpack (textures from many packs). It includes better textures for CustomNPC Items and you see the things exactly how I built them.
It's 64x64 and included in the map download. The font is fixed now.
- Fixed the trader at Horsemen's Island. (He sold gems instead of buying them)
- Added a new way to get to the reward room in the apocalyptic horsemen quest, if you and the boss die at the same time
- Buffed the Ebony Warrior
- Nerfed Skooma
- (hopefully) fixed the aggressive teleporter at the magetower
- (hopefully) fixed a certain dialog-gag

Regarding the sequel, "Seven Devils", I announced a while ago..
I really should've sticked to the philosophy I had for Gates To The End, not to announce it before it's done, as I sadly was not able to live up to my promises and own plans. Just a few days after I started to work on Seven Devils I entered a phase in my life with not nearly as much free time as I had when making Gates To The End, and while I really loved working on a map, I'm not willing to invest the time I have in doing that again.
I'm sorry for disappointing anyone who might've been excited for what could have been, including myself.
I'm not saying a sequel will never come, as my creation is still really important to me, even after almost 4 years since its release. I have some notes from 2015 with ideas for different gameplay gimmicks and story elements I wrote that I sometimes still think about and I really want to realize them. The only things I had done before stopping are a few items I created with the mod creator, for example Azura's Star (had some ideas for capturing souls like in The Elder Scrolls for the enchanting system) and Daedra hearts (Crafting was completely missing in Gates To The End, so I really wanted to make a good crafting system next to the usual trading and looting for the sequel). The name and perhaps a major part of the story might change though, as "Seven Devils" was mostly motivated by a mix of what I was playing, watching and listening to at that time:
The song with the same name from Florence + the Machine, the Aedra and Daedra from The Elder Scrolls and lastly the archangels as presented in Supernatural.
From what I've played of this, it is good quality. I did though find that you can get stuck with the horses in Woodar, and that cheats are active, so you can fiddle with things or skip them. Also, non of the NPC's I've encountered thus far have any sounds linked to them when hit.

If you require aid with Custom NPC's give me a shout (In the thread, not PM's). I can read a bit of error reports, know most of the NPC workings (I'm attempting to work on scripting) and have been using it since its 1.0 version. Otherwise I'll help with any questions or problems I can.

Oh..right, woodar. My friend got stuck in another town but he could teleport away.^^ I'll fix that. To disable cheats wouldn't change anything, others could just use TMI or something. hmm.. I thought every NPC has the hit-hurt sound as default? Maybe it's only the beginning region, I'll look at this.

I really like how creative you are, there is this village with this armor shop (with all the dwarves) and there was this huge armor and after a while i understood how you did it. i was like... clever... very clever

Fixed:
Woodar Armor puppet doesn't say the default line anymore
Deleted blood in a dungeon that prevents opening a chest
Deleted a secret in the Magetower that was waaaaaaaaaay to op for Easy-region
Made a way out of the Woodar horses (?)

I checked the sound again, everyone has damage.hit sound. Do you use my mixpack? Maybe you use a pack that muted the sound??
How can you stuck with the horses? Did you jump into the fences (But how)? I added a fencegate now.^^

Edit again: HELP! I received the quest to defeat oz at the skyarena, but i already beat him! What do i do?
Yet another edit: I killed an npc i named after oz, and it worked, so im good now :3 I learned my lesson: if you cant get to a boss, wait!

Umm, just how could you kill Oz before getting the quest? There is no possibility to get to him at the time.

Yw :3 The missing ladders at oz I thought were an error, so i cheated my way up. Might wanna specify not to go up that part. Also, I had to cheat to beat the reformed enderdragon-he was impossible to beat. I could never get close enough to hit him unless I shot him with magic or my crossbow (neither of which damaged him at all)

Enderdragon works fine to me, maybe you just died and you had to close/reopen the world?
It was a great map but here are my only two suggestions first please label your map on the forum post so people can have a named reference to where the villages are. - Increased the price of enchanted books
- Removed knockback books
- Reduced the gold amount in a secret chest
- Nerfed the optional follower Himmelstoß
- Added an enderchest in Saimour player home
