Nah, if you don't want to it's fine. I mainly just wanted it for demographics so I can try and have some diversity in the beta testers. I don't plan on using it for anything else. If you don't want to it's fine.

Still working on getting the original post back into working order. Something keeps destroying it every time I try to edit it.

That's okay you can still do it! I likely won't respond to any applications for a while as I will hold off on making a choice until I have several beta testers to choose from. Currently I think I have about 10 applications so far.

Just did some of the voice recording with one of my friends. The raw voice-acting for Captain Hollis Monroe and R3D (The Host) are about half-way done. Once all of the characters are completed I will send it over to a friend for him to clean up and polish with some nice effects where needed. But based off the raw recordings, I think it is turning out great so far.

Hey sorry, for the late reply, I've been busy with studying for finals. I have received your email. I am planning on having somewhere between 10 and 20 beta testers. The test will occur as soon as all of the voice-acting is implemented. First though I have to finish getting voices recorded and then have a friend of mine apply effects to a few of the voices. It will depend on how long that takes. My guess is in about 2-3 weeks, the beta test will be ready.

The Voice-acting sounds great so far!

Voice-acting is completed for the following characters: R3D/The Host, Captain Hollis Monroe, and Benny.

Voice-acting to be completed by Friday: Training Officer, Alien Announcer, E.V.E, TEMERITY, and LEVIATHAN

Voice-acting to be completed next week: Lord Ivaren

Raw voice recording is roughly 50% complete.

Only 2 more characters remain to be voiced! The voice-acting is great and hilarious just in it's raw state. After some editing it will be even better!

Here is a sample of some of the dialogue from season 2. Even though I wrote it, it still gives me chills just reading it, let alone listening to it.

ANONYMOUS BAD GUY: "Wait what did you say? Did you call out to your god? ... Do it again."

ANONYMOUS GOOD GUY: "Oh god no! God please save us! Save us all!"

ANONYMOUS BAD GUY: " Shh.... quiet now. ... We must listen. ... Do you hear that? That sweet majestic voice calling down from the heavens? You are dreaming boy. Your God has no power here. ... Because in here, I am your God."

EXODUS SEASON 2 COMING SOON

Is the resource pack 1.8? cause i'm like one of those guys who likes everything perfect for the best minecraft map experience.

(BTW congrats on the completion and near release of Exodus Season 2: An Interruption in Space, hope to see more awesome stuff like this in the future)

Yes the resource pack is made for 1.8. It will have a fair amount of texture changes and a ton of custom sounds. All raw-voice acting is complete aside from Lord Ivaren's. His will be complete in a few days. Today though no work will be done on Exodus Season 2, as I am moving out of my dorm and headed home for the summer!

I will let people know if they are accepted once the beta test is less than a week away. I'm not saying who is in or who is out for a little while longer, so that people can still apply if they choose. I will be having somewhere between 10 and 20 beta testers.

Also today has been chalk full of major breakthroughs.

1. Lord Ivaren finally has a voice.
2. All Voice acting is done and edited aside from a few instances of "The Lost Children"
3. Voice-Acting has been successfully integrated into the map
4. Resource pack has seen a major reworking as well.

What if I said that the Season 2 Beta is less than a week away? Would that be some pretty awesome news?

The Exodus Season 2 Beta Test is almost here!!!! (Beta will probably start on May 8th)

Just finished 10+ hours of work syncing voice-acting with the in-game audio.

It's pretty awesome, creepy, but cool at the same time. The Lost Children really freak me out.

Only a few things remain before season 2 is ready!

I just finished the map, great job by the way, and I noticed something off about the final emerald count. You lied about the number of emeralds. There is not 1 000 000. I demand reimbursement. There are 9 emeralds in a block, 64 in a stacks and 54 stacks in a chest so there is 31104 per double chest. There are 32 double chests filled with stacks of emerald blocks. This brings us up to 995328. The last chest has 8 stacks of blocks and one emerald. This equals 4609. 4609 + 995328 = 999937. You are 63 emeralds off. What do you have to say for yourself?

Taxes. The Government (Which makes a small appearance in season 2) takes a small percentage of course! It's almost been a year since the release of season 1, and you my friend are the first to successfully realize that there is indeed a lack of emeralds! Give yourself a pat on the back good sir.

Now it is time to do a few run throughs of the map and make sure I get rid of most of the major bugs before I release the map to beta testers!

EXODUS SEASON 2 is just around the corner. If all goes well the following is a schedule of when things will happen.
