Finished this map on singleplayer a second time because it is simply too good of a map , though I changed the difficulty from normal to hard compared to before.

Two new events occured on the map and I do not know the reason of this so I would like to ask if they were intentional.
1) In the Bio-Gen lab, I received a message in red stating a random corruption of file during the fight before the elevator. I lost all my items in that process
2) I was chosen as the least favourite competitor by the 'audience' before I escaped by the chopper and was asked to choose a penalty even though I do not know how.

Were you playing with a render distance of at least 7? If it was lower something could have caused the redstone to malfunction however this is extremely unlikely for this area. I'll take a closer look at the redstone later today and see if I can find a bug. This is the first report I've had of this happening. Hopefully it'll be the only one.
Changing the difficulty won't change much. Mainly because most of the levels in episode 1 are set to normal by default and the rest are all set to hard by default. Also at the beginning of each stage the world is momentarily set to peaceful to despawn any left over mobs in previous areas to prevent lag.

I have been made aware of a few rare bugs dealing with some of the redstone. I also have noticed a few typos and a few places where items need some more balancing. Also since most of the downloads are being used for singleplayer I am going to add a second ranking area at the end for singleplayer. (The current one is balanced for multiplayer)
So over the next few days I will work to fix these issues and hopefully release the next update early next week.

Just released the second update for Exodus Season I. I have nicknamed it *The Cake update*
This update includes:
A few minor fixes to Redstone
Spawn rates changed in areas as well as timers
Text Fixes
A new single player ranking system!
Item Balancing (slight)
Aesthetics added!

This update also upgrades the map to the next snapshot 14w21b. If you've already played the map feel free to give it another go! The Rankings have been changed slightly so see how you do now!
All in all this is a pretty minor update. Mostly deals with a few bug fixes.
Loved the play through! I loved how you mourned Spike and Princess. They aren't meant to live forever so that's one reason why zombies don't drop flesh. (But mainly because it would clutter your inventory) Looking forward to later episodes! It only gets more hectic from there!

Thank you! Originally the buttons weren't there and it was invisible platforms (With glow stone marking where the platform was) but that proved to be too difficult when testing. (Spent over an hour trying to do the whole thing but I could never do it in one go and I had built the map) More difficult than the moving parkour.

Thanks for playing again! Glad to hear you didn't experience anymore bugs this time! 0 deaths? I find that hard to believe but congratulations! The single player ranking should be off to the side of the original ranking room. There's a hallway that leads there.
With 1575 kills and 0 deaths you would have achieved the highest single player ranking of: WHAT APOCALYPSE?

So I'm working on Season 2 and it's going to have a much stronger storyline than Season 1. I'm contemplating using a different progression technique instead of spawning a wave and then escaping like Season 1 did. Season 1 was more focused on making it feel like a zombie apocalypse thus making this system ideal because the horde often grew larger and larger.
But for Season 2 I want to try something different for a majority of the map. Not sure what the new progression system will be but the bad guys are going to be tougher than the regular mobs seen throughout season 1. There won't be as many baddies but if I can pull it off it should be a nice change of pace for this new season!
I played the map until I finished the first episode and started the second. There wasn't a weapon to be found! I was forced to beat the zombies to death, which wasn't very effective with the numbers that we're being thrown at me. I deleted and redownloaded the map but it didn't help, on singleplayer there doesn't seem to be any weapons. So I'll have to hold off on the rest of the map until this is fixed.
My render distance is at 12 chunks so that isn't the problem.

There should be plenty of weapons. I just downloaded it myself and loaded it up to see if the download was messed up but it is fine for me. Everything is there.
Possible Issues:
1. Are you playing in a version lower than the latest snapshot 14w21b? If so this is the most likely culprit for the messed of weapons.
Make sure you are playing in this version or higher (depending on when you see this) Did you see the name of each stage appear on your screen when you played earlier? If not THIS is the issue.
2. Not sure, I checked chests and stuff and everything seems to be fine. It should have nothing to do with redstone or commands. Render distance shouldn't effect it.
When I release the next update (Not for a while unless there is a map breaking bug) I'll try and make several of the buildings more accessible. For Instance several of the buildings have their windows and doors blacked out and have no interior. In the next update I plan to change that and give the city more personality.
The next update will mostly be an aesthetic update and won't change too much stuff concerning redstone.

I hope it works, I have been having trouble downloading another map that looked really cool called "True Labyrinth". I hope the same problems I was running into back there don't happen here.
EDIT: IT WORKED!! Only problem was it was WAY too laggy. Me and my friends laptops couldn't handle it lol

That's awesome! Yeah I know what you mean. This map has a ton of redstone and it can cause a ton of lag. Plus throw in massive amounts of mobs at times. It's a bummer you weren't able to play it. In the future I may try and scale down the redstone to be neater and more efficient. But for now I'm just leaving it so I can find any remaining bugs.
