Super MinecraftMario Bros. 2
Hello! I made a Super Mario Bros. 2 based map. (The one from the SNES.) This map contains over 20 levels filled with challenges that will boggle the mind, break the sword, and jump the cliffs. This map also comes with a resource pack.
Play as one of the four characters, including Mario, Luigi, Toad, and even Peach, just like the original game. Each character has their one unique set of weapons and utilities.
Most levels contain coins, seeds, vegetables, four different collectable cherries, and one fortune (to tell you about the future challenges.) If you're a Mario fan, just waiting for a neat map to come along, then this map is for you! Also, this game probably takes maybe 5 hours to beat. Not sure.
Also, I support multiplayer! You can play with up to 4 people. Cooperate to get through the game, or compete for the most score! Fight to the death if you want to.
Rules-
You are not allowed to punch blocks- unless it is a misplaced switch.
You are only allowed to place switches (levers, buttons, ladders, etc.) on gold blocks. Once they are placed, you can't punch them and use them for something else.
You must play on Easy or higher. Part of the game is monsters.
You must use the SMMB2 resource pack. Please.
No commands. Besides from the normal talk ones. (Note: You can use /tp when playing multiplayer. Just don't try to cheat with it!)
No World Edits, Inventory Editors, or any stuff like that.
No arrow jumping! (This is shooting an arrow, and jumping at the right time to get to higher platforms.) This is also prohibited when using harming potions, or when a friend punches you up.
That's pretty much all.
Characters- Mario:
Dyed Leather Armor all with Fire Protection II,
Red Iron Sword with Fire Aspect II,
Bow with Flame I,
Three glasses of fruit punch (strength II potions),
Three throwable glasses of Cola (harming II potions).
Luigi:
Dyed Leather Armor all with Blast Protection II,
Green Iron Axe with Smite II,
Bow with Flame I,
Three glasses of ...water? (invisibility potions),
Three throwable glasses of limeade (poison potions).
Toad:
Iron Helmet,
Dyed Leather Armor,
chestplate with Thorns II,
all have Protection I, besides from Iron Helmet.
Blue Diamond Axe (Darker Blue) with Bane of Arthopods II,
Bow with Punch II,
Three glasses of blue drink (speed II potions),
Three throwable glasses of molasses (slowness II potions).
:-( ):Peach:
Dyed Leather Armor all with Projectile Protection II,
Pink Stone Sword with Sharpness I and Knockback II,
Bow with Punch II,
Three glasses of pink lemonade (regeneration II),
Three throwable glasses of grape soda (weakness II).
Please Note: Every weapon and piece of armor have Unbreaking III,
all shoes have Feather Falling IV,
every character starts off with a star (golden apple).
Collectable cherries' names will be changed. A killscore system will be added. Each 2 kills result in 1 point, and each death results in losing 3 points. (Deaths are more frequent, so I changed it to 3, instead of 5.) Also, an alternate 8-bit resource pack will go with it, if anyone wants to go more retro.
The score is based on the amount of coins, seeds, vegetables, cherries, and fortunes you have collected. Wanna aim for an even higher score? Start a two-hour timer and do a speed run! Each second is worth one point. (An hour would probably be more than 3,000 points!)
When submitting scores, submit your score, what character you used, and how you got the score. (Example: 1000 coins, 45 vegetables, 78 seeds, so on.) Any scores submitted without the score method will be ignored. (This is so I know that nobody is just making up scores.)
When submitting co-op scores, name each player on the team. Also put in their score, character, and method of score. Do this for everyone in the team.

I'm offering sweet rewards when a certain amount of people have downloaded this. Want to help? Tell your friends! (The wool under it indicates it's progress.)
500+ Downloads- Characters will start off with 2 stars instead of one. (Cleared!)
1,000+ Downloads- Two objectives will be added to the gameplay; your amount of kills and your amount of deaths. Each death subtracts your score by 5, and each kill increases your score by 1. (Cleared!)
2,000+ Downloads- Hidden libraries will be added to every world.
5,000+ Downloads- Four more extra levels will be added. Each one requires half the usual amount of cherries.

Playing it casually right now, seems like lots of fun! One thing though, remember to fight mobs and place blocks you must be in survival, the map starts out in adventure

It seemed to work perfectly fine with adventure. You just couldn't punch most blocks without tools. I'll try it again, though.
It comes with the download and is called "§6SM§4M§9B§22 §dResource Pack". What's with all the §? Whenever it gets put into the actual game, the text is colored. Pretty neat, huh? It even works with books!

I got the resource pack to work, however, the music is still the same Minecraft music.... Sad, I wanted to hear some good ol' classic Mario 2/Mario USA music.
(Just so everyone knows, in Japan, Mario Bros. 2 is called Mario USA, because the Japanese had a different Mario 2 called the Lost Levels)

Yeah. I DID have that, but for some reason, it went back to normal before I posted this. Besides, I kinda wanted to have different types of music for each theme of level, rather than how it was on the SNES. (That would make it more interesting.) Like, maybe a desert remix of the overworld on the original game for the desert levels. If you know something that can provide that kind of thing, please notify me! It would help a lot! Is the game still okay?

Actually you can. If you look through the hole into the cave where you need the redstone, (inside the cavespider room,) you can see another hole directly aligning your hole. Shoot an arrow through there. I'm sorry, I should have made that more clear. I'll fix that in the next update.

Ohhh... It doesn't look like wooden button and i didn't think of shooting at it. nice!
Btw I love all the timed races like the ice one and zombie one.
So far this is really long map and quite fun and similiar to Super Mario 3D World, love colecting stuff!

I'm glad you are enjoying your game. What works for me is to just make stuff up as I go along. Also, don't forget to submit your score once you're done! (I have Super Mario 3D World as well! I love that game!)
I was in the last f*cking world and then I left and next time I came my whole inventory and alllll the chests in map were empy. RAGEQUIT > f YOU MINECRAFT GLICHES!!! I think it was the transition to minecraft 1.7.5...
Oh well, I can't even post the score now >.< BTW AnOddRadish this map was very fun and if you need any help in future with maps I would lie to help you build them and this reminded me a lot of that super mario galaxy map. You really need to do mario galaxy map!

Yeah. I DID have that, but for some reason, it went back to normal before I posted this.
