Unfortunately there's nothing you can do to fix the villagers without remaking them, but yea the villagers are completely optional shops that are basically there as supplies for larger groups of people who need more than I supply in chests. No artifact trades or anything.
Side note: Don't trust the chunks the villagers are in before I fixed them... They can do weird things >_>
Excellent first episodes, can't wait to see the rest! I wouldn't be so confident about getting the last few wools though, they're a doozy
Thanks for the comments on the video We're feeling pretty strong with our mixture of Survivalist and Tank Armor (we mixed and match to limit the severity of the penalties). I'm pretty sure we'll be set to Notch Apple the last few wools if necessary...we're still saving up lots of gold along the way.
After a final recording session today, we completed the map on Hard. Death count was 7 for T3h_Muffinz and 12 for myself. Weremuffin had 0 deaths but that's because he didn't play
We found all the bonus stuff except for Phil the Filthy, Courage, Prickly Shrub, Deku Stick, and Ragefell. If you could PM me the locations, I'd love to know since I'm curious
Overall the map was fun. I felt the gear was too strong too quickly and made a lot of the map easier than it should be. The general concepts of each area was very cool, but most were way too large to be considered playable. Additionally, there was a lot of lag that hindered gameplay and that needs to be something you address in future maps since some levels were pretty much unplayable. Part of it is the size of the map, part of it is the sheer number of entities, and part of it is probably the redstone clocks used to track things like testfor block.
Okay...
I'm doing a creative run through to look at your map, I've been through the first intersection, and these are my comments.
I love your way with loot. The special loot isn't stuff you could make or obtain on your own otherwise, its actually very useful.
I love how diverse the custom mobs are.
The golden helmets in the water temple (not the diving helmets, the ones with respiration X) need to be toned down, they make it harder to see, not easier.
And you need to not hide the fleecy mobs in your next map. I still can't find the one in the water temple.
Wait... Hold on. Are there not fleecy mobs in the forward paths?
Okay Ganon's tower, I'm not going to spoil it too much, but suffice it to say... Don't pillar up the sides. You will regret it. Also: awesome boss fight.
First hard challenge... You weren't kidding. To other players: please note, he said 'fun', not easy.
And finally: WILL YOU STOP WITH THE FRIGGIN MAZES!!

I've messaged you the locations. And thanks for the feedback! as this was my first map, I did make a ton of rookie errors and didn't have the experience to do what I wanted to do in as concise an area as I should have. I am working on a map called Blitz where I focus on making the areas small, but fast-paced and limiting. Thanks to Storm the Castles I was able to accumulate a TON of building experience in one map, so I'm hoping Blitz will be an example of all the good things out of Storm the Castles in a concise CTM.

There are fleecy mobs on the forward paths, the water temple's is a bit more well hidden. Fleecy mobs are meant to be hidden to keep the player in the area to explore it completely. If you were in survival you would probably find it when trying to take out a particular "mermaid" spawner... Oh and the respiration update to vision underwater happened after I made that helmet ;P
Continued looking through.
I swear, I'm going to kill you if I meet you in real life.
WHAT IS IT WITH YOU AND MAZES!?!?!?!
Fear is pretty cool though, its the ultimate nightmare fuel... and I can't seem to get through, every time I think I'm making headway I find myself back on the edge of the safe-zone.
And really? Invisible creepers? If this area weren't made of solid bedrock that would be cruel, and its still mean as it is.
I might do a run-through of this with some friends eventually. Pretty fun, and lots of people'd get a kick out of us continually dying.
There's only two mazes... well 3 but the third is tiny and I doubt you'd find it. I also should not have made fear that big, rookie error. I just kinda selected like a 400x400 area or something and ran the filter on MCEdit. It was supposed to be the "hard" area of the intersection so yea... oh and the invisible creepers in fear aren't too bad, just a cute little jump scare ;D
Yeah...
What I'm planning is I want to get a group of somewhere upwards of 7 friends, and find maps that CAN hold that many, but aren't necessarily MADE for that many. End result: trying to do a run-through of a CTM map where no one has more than two or three decent pieces of loot.
It'll be fun.
I'll be updating the map later this week to address some issues with the last two areas (sorry Muffins ;P), so if you were about to download it just wait a couple days until I release version 1.2. I really should have gone in and tested the ridiculousness of the black wool before release... eh heh... If you make it to the "End" (you'll know) in an earlier version you can just set it to peaceful to kill the fleecy mob. It still works in peaceful, thankfully.
EDIT: 1.2 is released! Make sure to keep posting bugs with the map here so I can fix them later.

I'm currently working on an LP of the map, do you recommend to keep going (only about halfway through I1 atm) or should I download the new map, and copy over the NBT files from the old into the new?

You could probably "start over" in the new version but get to the point you were at by going through in creative mode until you're back where you were in the previous version. Unless you have a NASA supercomputer, the last area of the map is basically unplayable on anything but peaceful, so I do recommend switching over somehow if you're not too far in.
Well where was Ganon when you first see him in the Wind Waker? ;D
Aw... I thought he was in the tower. I searched to the best of my abilities there. Well, I just got the light gray wool and Iv'e explored the map a bit, so finding him won't be that hard. I loved how you added the zombie pigmen to the small dungeon in lava spire island, I died twice thanks to that. Also, "Generosity always leads to uncertainty... even though you can make the ultimate weapons and armor from it."
Love your custom spawners! Died once in very first area and twice in white wool area. (yeah...both are caused by cheeky skeletons who knocked me off the edge =.=")
The main reason for me to love this CTM map is that I'm able to get myself prepared by collecting BoE and some broken equips from light blue area which then I can use all of them together for repairing. Therefore, I would actually not to destroy those spawners, comparing with many maps which breaking them are necessary for ease)
The moment I comment it, I'm currently progressing to Intersection 3, lots of loots for me alone to collect X.X
In overall, this is one of the maps that I am actually able to relax and enjoy myself without getting stress. (Actually I play any CTM map with keepInventory ON regardless of difficulty...this is the only way that keeps me from ragequitting) Personally I would think this map suits those who just like to rush into the areas. Loot is abundant so I don't have to improvise myself.
Side note: Don't trust the chunks the villagers are in before I fixed them... They can do weird things >_>
New episodes Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday at Noon Pacific until we beat the map
(Spoiler: we're currently 5 Wool away from completing the VM...so I'm certain we will beat the map)

Nope, sorry guys, no Destroy the Godmodder relevant stuff here...
At least, not yet.
