I like how Crimson just kinda shows up to help out whenever i thread gets a lot of traffic. You're awesome Crimson, keep up all dat good work!
Also Tikaro, congrats on the lp, as I said earlier. Also will there still be a dev update today?
Thanks! : D
Yeah, I will post an update today, I just want to finish some stuff before posting it.
(i will probably edit the update in this post)
EDIT Dev. Update № 20 (I should have made something special for this number? nope)
This week was crazy in numerous ways.
In terms of progress, I prepared the whole Cyan area, to finish the building I basically have to get a lot of details in. The whole area is very building-heavy, so that's a lot of work to do. Right now I'm almost done with detailing the central fort\castle of the area, which occupies about 50% of the area. I also put the fleecy box in the area, so technically, the area is already walkthrough-able.
My plan for the nearby future is to finish said Cyan area, then reloot the completed part of map using the new modifier-based system, test it a couple of times and move on to making Purple area. The good thing is that Intersection 4 itself is done and awaits the "link" to the other part of the map, which will be the Purple area.
Now to the screenshot part, right? I had problems deciding what to show, because I don't want you to see neither Cyan are nor Intersection 4, but I also don't want to post a mindless picture. So, I guess here is the compromise:
So far in animosity ive gotten 4 of the monument pieces which i assume is the end of the first intersection. I really like your map design and layout. The enormity of the areas continually amaze me. The aqueducts were unique and interesting and i liked the rewards of going through the forest, regardless of how many times i died. I also liked the volcanic core. The constant gaps over lava pits and the delapidated structures added well to the atmosphere of chaos. Im very excited for your second map and I appreciate all the effort that you put into your mapmaking. Thank you.
The passage to Gray wool area is right behind the fleecy box in Hellfire Citadel, blocked with iron bars. In said gray wool area a teleporter is located, that will bring you to Intersection 3

I know they usually do, but this time around not. I've searched for another hour, really want it, but still didnt find that purple wool, plz just help.
Are you sure that this is not the same case? The path leads you to the entrance, though you still have to look around just a bit to find it (looking around is really, really helpful overall).
Just in case, the exact location:
The entrance is located in one of the building in Flaming Necropoils. The needed building is on the opposite of the entrance, right next to the watchtower with "Solar Prominence". It's also the only building with light inside.
In the said building, a ladder is located that leads to a mini base-thing with the corridor to Purple wool
"But some stuff, I don't know what to say:STONE-shovel with efficiency V and silktouch ?Boots with silktouch ???Goldnugget with unbreaking X ???Were you drunk, when you made those items ?"
Welcome to custom map making. If you've played them before you should know mapmakers like to leave their marks, either personality or style, just kind of making it their own.
Sometimes there is no practical use, but most times there is at least a little bit.
Custom items may follow a storyline or theme of an area.
For instance, I'm using the Fortune 5 "RAGHEEEE" wooden pickaxe to fortune nether wart and potatoes. It doesn't take damage from hitting crops so, yeah. Lots of warts.
My impressions so far, I'm loving it. Up to Burn and Crawl/Monument areas, and thoroughly enjoying everything, looks, difficulty, style, everything. Loving how most areas seem more intimidating and difficult than they actually are, or maybe that is a result of playing cautiously.
At Intersection 1 I found myself complaining a bit about not having enough supplies. I didn't think it cool to have to farm potatoes, but with lots of bone drops, it was easy enough to just bone-and-go, no time spent waiting. I think its ok the way it is.
As far as arrows, we absolutely had to farm them, no questions asked. But again, it was fairly easy to farm them, between the jungle skellies in Withered Aquaduct, and the Labs in Short Circuit. There are at least 2 double-skelly spawners down there, and I rigged the wool room into a very efficient double-skelly farm in about an hour. I afk-ed for one night, and came back to a double chest of arrows and bone EACH. Then I killed another 500+ manually, and with the enchanted bow drops, walked away with 3 very reasonably enchanted bows,Power 3-4, to attack Citadel and now Burn areas. A couple enchanted armour drops too, to help defend.
Food supply was short, but with some quick farming, workable.
Bow supplies, same.
Armor, with Blast/Projectile/Fire already provided, nice. Remember, enchanted armour can be combined to increase effect, so.... Level 3 Blast and Projectile, very reasonable. Repairing chainmail with iron ingots, not everybody knows that.
Swords are limited, but again, making the most of what you have, it definitely works; Knockback2-Fire2 Iron along with extended Strength potion is great for creepers and spiders in Rushing Waters.
All in all, I think the loot is pretty much PERFECT, if you enjoy a challenge of mastering your resources. I personally LOVE that kind of challenge, so I'm loving this map a lot.
Last thing about the Fish Temple, again, it's not as hard as it seems. Best approach is clear every floor completely first, destroying all the spawners, because some of the spawners will drop mobs onto BOTH floors and because Zombies track from everywhere.
I came here cause... I couldn't find intersection 3 in the Cavern, and decided to share my thoughts. Now I'm off to burn and crawl. With the magma spawners in the Citadel, and endless supply of fire potions, I don't expect to do much burning. Crawling, well we'll see.

Wow. It's the 3rd time that I get to help out the author. Well, to answer your question...

As TikaroHD has mentioned above...
Thank you for the kind words, I hope you'll enjoy the rest of the map.
Yes, it will branch off from Red area. Actually, Red area is going to be sort of a "prelude" to the Black, they will have a similar theme in a way.
Also, Crimson, thanks for helping with the traffic here, you are definitely making my life easier.
Well, I might as well help out TikaroHD once more.
should be in Flaming Acropolis (or whatever its called, i don't remember the exact name of the area)
So much awesome ;3;
You know these things called cues? Yeah, they should guide you to it. As in, follow the path, lights, whatever. They usually get you there.
Are you sure that this is not the same case? The path leads you to the entrance, though you still have to look around just a bit to find it (looking around is really, really helpful overall).

Great work TikaroHD, I'm a fan.

You thought I was asking? I came here, got the answer, and was off to burn and crawl.
