I did not understood at all the last part from SP2:O. When you are at the end of the Celestial Gardens, you get the wool and then you press the button. It did nothing happened (well yea it did, mobs wrecked me) and then I spawned into another place, taking the Black Wool and making the way back to the Intersection IV.
So, could you please explain me what's the purpose of the last part from Eternal Equilibrium / Celestial Gardens ?
PD: Nice map I would've loved a boss fight at the end tho.

Hello! First of all, I'm glad you enjoyed your time with the map.
The button kills you shortly after pressing it, (from what I understand, you got killed right before that), forcing you to backtrack to monument naked. Main reason for it: I haven't seen it be done in CTMs, and it was an idea interesting enough to explore as a mapmaker. Also, the reactions of players are rather entertaining. From the gameplay standpoint it is a small additional challenge (which depends on how well you cleared the previous areas).
Concerning boss fight, I myself do not like boss fights (custom or vanilla) in minecraft, but I can certainly see how it would be a good conclusion for a map. I may entertain a thought of doing a boss fight in the future, but it is unlikely.
Hi! I'm playing SP02, and is SO AWESOME and fun! Really amazing Work Tikaro, i just came to the Monument and i really liked, the four first wool was really cool, i liked so much Gelidor Complex ^-^ I hope complete this amazing map, it's my first CTM and i really want complete it, and i think i can, again, Amazing Work!

Heres is THE photo :v
And this (Sorry about steve, it was a funny accident xD)
Well, 13 deaths, not bad for my First CTM, well, 12, the last death in Black Wool it's not important i think (By the way, Awesome mechanic )
The gameplay was really awesome and fun, i really liked
Well, My favorite wool? The purple i think, Scalding ascendance was really amazing
The hardest? Obviously is Celestial Garden, is the harder zone, but, the two first parts in the black wool was easy, for that, i think the hardest wool (For me) Was Vicious Renmants (Pink Wool) Witches and traps that was hard xD
Well, i can't say anymore, it's my first so, i can't tell nothing (Proffesional) Any way, was amazing and fun, i hope SP 03 get release soon ^-^

Still working on it, I have the last intersection to finish, as well as some polishing afterwards. I'll do a proper development update after finishing aesthetics, and perhaps another one upon starting the beta test.
I see you have been working on SP3 and before you finish the map I wanted to give you a recommendation. I played a bit of SP2 and the start was
was pretty good, although I did not like the fact that the first area was not opened to sky. This is just an opinion of mine but I think that every starting area in a CTM map should be opened to sky. I don't know why I feel that way but I do (insert shrug emoji here, I'm to lazy to copy and paste it). Anyways that's not what I was here to talk about. As I said I played just the start of SP2 and I got to Intersection I. When I got to Intersection I I looked around and just saw an enderchest and a chest. No quests or villagers to trade with etc. My point is at each intersection you need something to do when you get there. It just makes the intersection feel much more significant. A great way to solve this is to let the player get to the monument in the first intersection. Or you could just set up a base for the player and have a villager that you can trade with. My other suggestion is that at least the first intersection is opened to sky. Again I don't why I feel this way but I just do (insert another shrug face). A great example of having stuff to do is RC3. He has the Nexus right after you defeat the first area. This part of the reason why I love his map so much is because you feel like you have a home. Anyways, this has nothing to do with all of that :P. I've been working on my own CTM map and I would like to get some feedback from you. Here are some images. That first one is the first intersection, but I haven't added the paths to the other areas yet cause I haven't even started the areas :P. The second one is the monument (aka The Temple of Light) The third one is white wool which (in my opinion) is MASSIVE that village is probably only half of the area. And the last one is the sewers which connects white wool (City of Embers) to the monument & Intersection I. So that's it from me, I'm missing dinner to type this message because that's how much I care :D.
Hello! Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I disagree that every starting area should be open to the sky (as it would make them more predictable and thus boring), but I do certainly see the charm that sky-lit areas have. You'll probably enjoy aesthetics of SP03, as the map is almost completely open to the sky. With quests\traders, again, I do not think that they are necessary, but I do have some stuff to spice up the intersections and the areas in SP03.
Your screenshots all look nice (although I think the structures on the second one are rather boring and flat). However, this topic is not for general CTM discussion, and so I strongly suggest you post them in the CTM Community topic, where you'll get feedback from a bunch of map-makers and not just me. Or even better, check out the Discord we have (link in the first post of the topic). It's very active so you'll get feedback extremely quickly there.

Hello! It's possible to play them in 1.8, but I do recommend you to try to set up a 1.7 server if it's possible. In 1.8 you will experience problems with maps' balance. Also, a lot of redstone will be broken.
After completing SP02 was wanting more simulation protocol, so 4 days ago I started playing animosity, and already complete, it was an amazing experience, it was fun, really not as much as overload, but the satisfaction was the same here some things.
With only 6 deaths I can say it was an amazing experience, the map is very well balanced and the line of difficulty is good, although I feel that the difficulty curve increases excessively at the intersection III, light gray wool is a little too hard , was the only wool that really cost me, is very well done, but it is quite complicated, and at this point on the map you do not have enough equipment for battle the mobs, and tp the purple area is quite hidden, it is hard to find.
Jellyfishes are mad was strangely fun, with a night vision potion made me too easy, I would have liked it to be longer.
I have to say that the map is much easier than Overload, and obviously Overload is more balanced, but that does not detract from the spectacular, overall it was an amazing experience.
It takes a while to get to the monument, I wish it was closer, but that's my opinion.
I loved the black wool aesthetics are perfect, the difficulty is very well balanced, and is fun to play.
I can`t upload the photo because my pc got a problem with that sorry :c
Summarizing:
My favorite was the black wool, it is spectacular
The most difficult in my opinion was the light gray
Jellyfishes are mad, very very mad :^)
Thank you for creating this gorgeous, I am excited by SP03, and I hope to release as soon as possible, I have wanting more protocol simulation.
I hope you could say an approximate date of release

I'm glad you enjoyed SP01! As you pointed out, it has quite a bit of flaws, but it's pleasant to hear that it, in some ways, still holds up to today's standards (although there is no denying that at this point the map is horribly outdated).
All I can say about SP03 is - it's close. It will probably be a couple of months before I start beta testing, but almost all of the aesthetics are already done. I will give out a more defined date once I do start the testing.

Woohoo! Thank god for that! Animosity and Overload are one of myfavourite CTM maps because of how well made they are. I can't wait for the 3rd one! (Also if you reply, can you give me some tips on how to make caves for a CTM map, I've tried using MC Edit but I can't seem to make it look good. I've always wanted to make a CTM map of my own and you are one of my inspirations!)

I'm very glad to hear that my maps have inspired you! For caverns, I prefer carving out a general shape with a semi-large brush (let's say 17x17x17). Then I go around with a smaller brush (9x9x9, maybe 5x5x5 after that) fixing things and adding smaller details, until I like the shape. And after that I erode the whole thing with an erosion brush and use a smooth filter on it. That's the general outline of it, but you really need to just experiment and keep trying to see what you like the most.
Also, I really suggest checking out the CTM Community thread and, in particular, our Discord. There are a lot of great map-makers there that will answer pretty much any questions you might have.
So Tikaro, do you do all that in MCEdit or do you switch to World Edit or Voxel Sniper after getting the initial shape? I like the erosion brushes you get in the latter tools more than what I have in MCEdit

Ask and ye shall receive. In moderation, of course, I'm not spoiling the meat of the map just yet.

Oh wow, that looks really cool Tikaro! Really looking forward to the new map.
I wander through CTM maps, getting lost, fighting monsters, and somehow accomplishing things. I'm never too sure how, but I do. Come join me, pets!

Glad to see that Tikaro is still alive
