Magnen and I are back to take down Overload! Oh and we brought a friend with us too.
(though the server was accidentally set to Peaceful for the first eight minutes, oops! We fixed it though. Darn you server default being set to Peaceful for who knows what reason...)
Waiting for more progress on your work in SP3. You have something new Tikaro? Reaññy im very hyped.
I'm occupied by several non minecraft related projects right now, and that takes up a lot of my time, so SP03 is moving like a turtle. I might post a screenshot of what I've done sometime soon, but no dev. updates in the near future.
When I finish Animosity, I would like start Overload. Can we play this map in 1.8?
Thanks
PS: I'm french
I'm very glad you're enjoying Animosity, and I hope you will like Overload! You should play Overload in 1.7 because 1.8 breaks several things in the map.
I was playing SP02 when at the intersection 3 in wich the sign said that to activate the teleporter i ve had to walk under the spawner it didnt worked and that has left me really disappointed because i really want to complete the map. I hope you can help me to fix it and can continue with the map.

PD: Great map
"/scoreboard objectives @a Int 3" - paste this command in the chat (without the quotes) and everything should work.
I'm glad that we solved the problem! Hope you have a good time with the rest of the map.

So, the 7th Strawberry Jam took place (and still is taking place, in fact), in which I participated with a 3-wool mini-map The Phantasm. Since I didn't manage my time properly, the jam version is playable but unbalanced. That's why I took a bit of extra time to do the finishing touches to release it as an independent mini-map.
A download link for the polished version. Also, since I'm a lazy bum I'll just my post from the jam thread here:
LOG 702_C:
-START TRANSMISSION-
Ranger, you have a mission. The old terran ship Phantasm was located, with valuable information inside. Be it with stealth and care, or with sheer brute force, get it and return back. But be careful, as there will be heavy resistance.
-END TRANSMISSION-
God this is a shipwreck. It seems that as I make more maps for jams, my time management just gets worse and worse. This beast certainly need another good couple of hours of polishing to be at the point where I'm satisfied with it, but I wanted to get it to a playable state and not go over the jam time limit too much. Be prepared for possible absence of balance, as I did only one quick run-through.
Magnen and I got a Skype call with Tikaro and we asked him questions about his maps. He also told us some indev content from Overload like the unfortunate fate of Stains of Time, the many redesigns of Vicious Remnants, and even the original idea for an optional final area alongside Celestial Garden!

SP03 Dev. Update №4 (Nah, I'm not doing these regularly)
Feels like I haven't done any of these in an eternity, eh? Several things have happened since the previous one, so let's wrap it all up in a nice little update.
First of all, as you can see above, I, Zunar and his LP-partner Magnen fooled around and talked about some behind-the-scene designs that never made it into Overload, as well as some other stuff. Some of that I've talked about at some point in the past, some you won't hear anywhere else, so you might want to take a look.
Now, an ethereal tale that is SP03. What to start with?
Half of the map is finished at this point. I have almost everything up to and including Lime area done, with Int3 currently in development. I won't be working on the second half of the map for a little while, as I want to seriously polish up what I have before moving onto the later areas of the map. And when I do, it will be another story altogether since aesthetics take a major turn halfway through the map, becoming almost entirely structure-based, with little to no natural terrain left. I believe that this will turn out as a unique twist to the whole thing, but obviously it will be a challenge to pull out, even with my deep deep love for humongous structures.
In the past couple of days I've been running around adding details everywhere, as well as redoing parts of the map that I didn't like. I will not go into too much details since that will be boring, but to sum it up, I have:
- shuffled Int1 areas around and came up with a cool way to make compasses useful
- scrapped the Light blue area and started redoing it.
- added details to Magenta and the passage to Lime.
All of that I did because I felt that some parts of the map were not up to my standards as well as just outright boring, and the changes definitely helped with that. I will proceed with more polishing and then give this beast a first proper indev test to see how it all works as a whole.
This is it for this little recap, so let's finish it off as we always do:
I am making my own map with four levels of custom loot. Items in the lower levels will be more common than those in the higher levels. For the first three levels I was going to use:
Uncommon
Heroic
Paragon
For the 4th level I wanted to use "Elder" but then I read your Dev. Update #2 and saw that you had already used that designation.
(I started Overload but haven't gotten incredibly far yet and found no Elder items)
So is it OK if I use "Elder"?
It's OK if I can't, but I was just wondering if I could use that designation.

I don't care about the Xs. You can call me Navarog. Or Nava if you really want to be a hipster. It's fine.

I didnt worked... ):
Try "/scoreboard objectives set @a Int 3" (without the quotes).
Pardon, my bad. Zunar got the proper command. C:
It not worked too
Oh right, it's /scoreboard players, not /scoreboard objectives.
Try "/scoreboard players set @a Int 3". That should work. (Third time's the charm, as they say)
Thanks, that one, worked.
I'm glad that we solved the problem! Hope you have a good time with the rest of the map.

I have a love for exploring structures in a CTM map, so that is a very intriguing twist, to be sure!
I wander through CTM maps, getting lost, fighting monsters, and somehow accomplishing things. I'm never too sure how, but I do. Come join me, pets!
