Ever played regular skyblock, but it ended up getting too dull? It's a common issue, as there's only so much you can do. With our heavily edited skyblock map, you will be able to do almost everything you can do on FTB, except with the added twist of the full skyblock experience! To make sure you can get most of the FTB items, we added a special bedrock trading posts with custom villagers that trade you items you can not get any other way. The prices of the items will be tweaked every update depending on the user feedback! This will surely have you playing for weeks!
Rules:
1. No entering the Twilight Forest. (Support will be added at a later update.)
2. Must play on at least normal difficulty.
3. No going into the mainland, on the normal world, nor the nether.
4. No hacking/cheating.
Achievements: 1. No suicide for food.
2. No igneous extruder. Incomplete, please suggest.

Note: You MUST use FTB ultimate for minecraft 1.4.7.
If I were you, I'd consider making the map on an empty superflat world, and then edit in blocks with something like MCedit. That way, you wouldn't need to worry about player bridging to the mainlands. The villager trading is an interesting idea, and If I were into FTB, i'd probably give this a shot.

Well, I was considering a Vanilla version of this. It would even make an interesting server approach, mod-less EE. And I'll take the superflat world idea into strong consideration. Thanks!

So I was working on this really cool resource pack a while ago, but bad progress nonwithstanding, I think I found something much better... I'm probably gonna never release another custom Minecraft map.Until we meet again...
Awful awful map. Idea was brilliant to make a FTB skyblock but trading was awful. Things cost to much, horrible building to trade in, and not enough added to the map to consider it better.

Wow, how confusing can this be? Title states 1.5.2. Description says must use FTB Ultimate 1.5.2. Then in big red it says 1.4.7. And there is no FTB Ultimate 1.5.2 in the launcher. Maybe edit your post to clarify the proper information?

Perfect. BTW, this is a great map. Been playing for a couple days now. But I can only find 3 small islands around the spawn point (one being the traders). And the nether doesn't seem to have any islands except the portal. Is there any way to get the other ores in this map? ruby, sapphire, green sapphire, AE crystals, etc.? One of the traders trades for netherack but that is very limited with just a single little island where the portal is. I created an electric jetpack and wandered quite far in all directions in both the nether and over world and couldn't find any more islands or anything.
Maybe the only way to get the other ores is by using Mystcraft?

Mystcraft wasn't intended. And you're not supposed to be able to get EVERY ore. Lots of them are created through centrifuges. It's supposed to use only very essential items that can broaden into many other devices and things. Oh, and there are only 3 islands.
