GG. 10/10 would not play again because I now hate spiders
I suggest increasing the drop rate for the Crystalline Lepismas, because it's ridiculously low at the moment.
Additionally, this map has a wonderful difficulty curve. Unfortunately, it's backwards, so the blue wool is the hardest, followed by green and then red which is easiest. (I had to tunnel in the blue wool even with a few pieces of enchanted iron armor, but I did the green wool easily with leather armor, and then red wool with almost no equipment). You might want to consider making the blue wool a bit easier, seeing as running into a few of the rooms was suicide without full enchanted iron armor. Also, the Thorns really annoyed me. Maybe that was just to make the armor not OP, but I once again suggest increasing the Crystal drop rates so it would at least be sustainable.
Protip: do NOT eat spider eyes while walking in the red wool area.
I've started my playthrough on the latest version(1.1) of Arachnapocalypse! I've played through the map twice already for testing purposes, but I wanted to record this as well, and give my feedback not only to Rock, but the community as well! Enjoy!

Arachnopocalypse so far is going okay for me but there's a two thing I would like to say about the first area. Because there is multiple vanilla spider spawners in the first area I got extremely unlucky and got three spider jockeys (one in full gold armor) causing me to die twice. I'd reccomend giving some of those spider spawners ambient potion effects (like ambient night vision) or custom drops (like a very small chance to drop a extra spider eye) so those spawners don't spawn spider jockeys. Also I had a problem with food there so I also reccomend putting something like cake, cookies, rotten flesh, or melons in a chest so if the player runs out they can at least have some really bad food. Also maybe you should make a crazed trader that trades something like half a stack of spider eyes or a stack of rage spider fangs for pesticide (just so it's unlimited and if the player runs out of it and really needs it they can have a way of getting more). Overall till now really enjoying the map and I hope that temporal chaos will be just as good!
Arachnapocolypse is out? How did I miss it? Playing now...
EDIT: Mm k. So, I got to the Intersection with no deaths, and now am assaulting Red Wool.
It took me 2 seconds to figure out the spiders. Just stop moving when they come near you, and you can't fall off. I've died twice now, both to the spiders (Yes, I know I said they were easy but a few accidents sent me straight into the void), but have mostly completed the area.
So far the map looks and plays fantastic. Can't wait for the full one.

First off, sounds like you haven't made it to the intersection quite yet as there's easy trades for food and pesticides. Secondly, you're possibly the first person to run out of food in the first cave that I know of, but I can look into it some for when I do another pass. haha. XD

Because Arachnopocalypse was getting to hard for me (I ran out of food and I'm pretty bad at CTM's) I decided to fly around it in creative mode and look at the map. I now see what you meant with the trades but I think that pesticide is to cheap and all the other potions are too expensive because you can only get them at the very end. Also arrows are way too cheap so mavbe make it be something like a rage spider fang and a log for 24 arrows. As for the potions maybe make their be a mob that drops fermented spider eyes (or just alter a existing mob) so that you can trade them with the trader instead of spasmodic venom sacs (nice name ;D). As for the areas they all seemed balanced and pretty good except for the second area (second area with wool, not the frozen area) it seemed to be easier then the first as I saw it (just my personal opinion though with seeing amlups stream and seeing it myself). Overall it looks like a supreme map and I'll probably play it again when I get better at CTM's.

Thanks for the feedback. I plan to do some balance changes soon-ish to hopefully help with a few of the things people have mentioned or I've seen. Feel free to check back after that.
Special thanks to Axl Rosie for the sig.

Anyways, it was a great map overall, thanks!
