This thread is for CTM maps that I've made (and sometimes there will be a map of another genre). In my opinion, Using mods in my maps will take away from the experience, just like any other maps. However, some mods do not take away fro the experience ; lighting tweaks, inventory tweaks (without spawning in items), mods that disable the endermens' block-picking ability, and aesthetic mods.
Map Difficulty ratings:
Easy: Relaxing and not much fighting, weak mobs, probably just as easy as normal minecraft survival.
Med-Easy: Weak mobs, but harder than easy.
:Flint and Steel: Normal: A challenge for players, expect some farming here and there.
Med-Hard: Challenging mobs, larger areas, and resources will be spread throughout the map.
Hard: Deadly mobs and very little resources. Don't just rush in and attack, use strategy.
"ROM-hack" Hard: Super unbalanced and super unfair. Kaizo Mario all over again.
Monument Types:
Wool: Place wool in their respective slots on the monument.
Record: Place records in their jukeboxes on the monument.
Mini CTM: Wool monument type, except less wools.

The Stars Beyond:
Difficulty Rating: Med-Hard
Map Type: Linear
Monument Type: Record
Minecraft Version Requirement: 14w20a (There are issues with 14w25a +)
Download: The Stars Beyond
Version: 1.0
Your people's colony has withered away. The remaining resources are not enough for their survival. It is now nothing more than a dry dusty rock. They have sent you to explore the galaxy in search of the 12 sacred records; once all 12 are collected, the gateway to your people's homeland will open. However, an evil force is following you, bringing corruption and chaos to everything in your path.

Legion Mines:
Difficulty Rating: Med-Hard
Map Type: Linear / Open world
Monument Type: Wool
Download: Legion Mines
Version: 1.0
Deep under the earth lies the Legion Mines, a dark and mysterious place. This map was sort of an experiment. I mixed linear and open world in such a way that I don't think has been done before (as far as I know) There is one intersection that branches off into 3 different paths; a fire path, a vegetation path, and a crystal path. Each area doesn't branch off into another intersection, but instead another area. each path intersects at certain areas. Also, there is a bonus Miner's Monument, in which you must place different ores (requires a silk-touch pick). The areas are really big, so I tried to give you enough resources to last each area. There is a some lore left behind by the dead miners.

Pssst. Music really adds to the experience, so if you haven't done this already, collect a bunch of songs for different games and stuff just so you can play them in the background. Make sure the music fits the atmosphere of the area too, for added goodness. OK, I go away now...
Ugh, dude, put your download up again. I'll test it out and try to give you some feedback and help you improve. Don't take a person who's mostly rude, words to your heart.
There we go, I'm better now.
I went off and looked at my dog being silly, It helped.
TSB looks like such a huge improvement from legion mines, very looking forward to that. Are you still working on this?
Yeah, once SPC and Build Commands comes out for 1.7 I'll do a lot more work on it. For now I just do some little work here and there.
In legion mines I though "a bigger cave will make it prettier!" now I know that's not the case. I'm working with world edit now, and in legion mines I just had MCedit.
By the way, how is the beta for this going assuming it hasn't died? The Stars Beyond looks like a great map, but it's been "in beta" for over a month now...

Yeah... One beta tester volunteered then when I sent him the map download he didn't respond, ever. Then 2 beta testers finished the map and gave me feedback. Now I'm waiting on one beta tester to finish the map, but he hasn't played it for months. I tried to bug him about it and he gave some feedback for one area. Since then there hasn't been any more feedback. I might just upload the map as is.

Yeah, I was thinking about making it prettier.
The rugged look of the areas was intended. And I'm planning on making the fortress look better.
Edit: There we go! Made the fortress better by adding some wood trim and some depth to the flat walls
Thanks!

Really? i thought it looks pretty delicious myself
Thanks! It should be done really soon.
I added extra coco powder to the dirt, just for you.
