Thanks for all the great comments and for sharing your playthroughs! Great to see them. Eagerly working on The Legend of Zelda: Templars of Hyrule at the moment, and after we've done that there may be a Learning Curve sequel in the pipeline! Let's hope it lives up to expectations..
Hey! Fantastic map, this was a ton of fun to play with my friends! I ended up doing a youtube series on it, I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I enjoyed playing it!
Thanks for all the playthroughs guys! We really appreciate all the support. There have been some excellent and entertaining videos I've seen on YouTube, and they all serve to make the map a better experience for the next set of players.
Since our v2.4 update, however, there haven't been many playthroughs - most are continuations of the previous version of the map. I feel like we've made some great changes to the map and would be curious to see how the changes have affected gameplay. If any intrepid YouTubers would care to make a Let's Play of their run, it would be much appreciated. We always have our ear to the ground when it comes to new videos being released on YouTube, but feel free to post here and let us know about the videos just in case you think we missed them!
Hi players! For those looking to download this map, make sure you play on Minecraft version 1.7, as there are some changes to adventure more in 1.8 that make the second stage impossible! Let us know if you come across any other bugs.
Hello, Learning Curvers! My friends and I thought this map was GREAT! Innovative, well-rounded puzzles and a funny NPC! Since our final episode is being released today at 1pm EST, I thought it was time to let everyone know where to find it!
Hello eager Minecrafters - or should I say Hola! We are currently working at translating the game into Spanish. The script has been completed, and signs are the only thing that remain to be updated. We hope you find this useful!
If any other keen linguists would like to translate There Is No Learning Curve or any of Mental Block Gaming's other maps for us, don't hesitate to get in touch! We'd love to hear from you, and can offer you a lot of support along the way.
A quick Mental Block Gaming update for those who have played There is no Learning Curve:
Our latest three player cooperative map is now available for download! The Legend of Zelda: Templars of Hyrule is a brand new adventure based on the classic Ocarina of Time game. This adventure/puzzle map has 9 stimulating and challenging dungeons with unique and challenging puzzles, 14 expansive free play zones including a whopping 55 fully voiced NPCs.
We are very proud of this new map, and with over 12 hours game play, we would love to encourage everyone who enjoyed TinLC to grab some friends, and a sword, and have a 'bash' at this exhilarating adventure!
Hey there! Since my little sister got a Minecraft account a few weeks ago, the other day I finally got around to play this map (that i found 1½ years ago) with my smaller siblings. It was a fairly hard, but rewarding map, and the voiceover sequences were a nice feature to have. We had to cheat a little on the triforce puzzle, and we didn't manage to find half of the secret numbers, but it was satisfying enough anyways. By the way, I see you've finished that other 3 player map - guess I gotta play that too in 1½ years...
We were playing on 1.8 for reasons, so I'm not sure if this applies on 1.7. In the room where you rate Harold, the redstone line to open the door doesn't reach all the way to the block under door so the door never opens.
But the map was perfect everywhere else and we enjoyed it thoroughly. 10/10 would recommend.
