Corrupted Lands 2 IS NOT in beta right now. It is supposed to be the full release. I know the maps says that... I messed up, feel a little stupid, and I will change that in an update. Abundant Seas has some more progress done and I will probably be able to post some pictures of it tomorrow or later today.
Updated Corrupted Lands 2 to version 1.1! It would have been updated sooner, if my Internet wasn't screwed up for the last 4 days...
Will probably post a picture of the next area in Intersection 1 for Abundant Seas later today, then Intersection 1 will be finished.
I'm gonna be a bit brutally honest in my feedback of Corrupt Lands 2, apologies in advance.
First off, the terraforming for the most part is quite good. The map looks decent, and for most areas has a natural feel to it. The use of erosion tools is very apparent however.
My major issue with the map however, is that this map is way too easy. There are an absurdly low amount of spawners, and your loot distribution is completely imbalanced. Heck, the hardest part of the map was finding the wool monument, which is way too obscured. I did not find it until a fast travel button later on. The loot you hand out seems to have been almost entirely randomized, which can be a good thing if balance is taken into play. However, the fact that I was able to make full iron armor with sharpness swords before I even left the first intersection is absurd. Additionally, your areas are really really small. The fact that I can run from the first intersection to the second in about 30 seconds shows how small the areas really are. Additionally, areas that present very little difficulty (such as infected mushroom) have two wool in them, which makes for two wool gained ridiculously quickly.
The fact is, I completed this map in under an hour and I didn't die once. The map seriously needs to be toned up difficulty wise, and your areas need to be a lot bigger. I apologize for sounding harsh, but you'll need this feedback if you want to continue mapmaking. I have no doubt that you have enormous potential, you clearly know how to design an area. I think what your map lacks is well developed gameplay mechanics, which are essential for a fun experience.

Okay, let me start of by saying that my maps are supposed to be easy. You are clearly really good at CTM maps. My Corrupted Lands maps are small and do not take much time to collect all the wool, I know that. I wanted these maps to be short and simple with good landscapes. That is what I like about CTM maps. In the newer CTM map I am making, I'm making the journeys a lot longer, because I want to do that. I know that there is a lack of traveling in the Corrupted Lands maps. I will continue to make my maps on the easier side, because that is what I like. The map is supposed to be a challenge but easy because of the loot I give to the player. I don't make my maps where they are supposed to kill the player continuously the way that Vechs does. My maps are definitely for newer players to the CTM series, but I think it is also supposed to be a fun, quick, easy map for more experienced players. Abundant Seas will have more traveling, but I would like to keep the difficulty around the same level, just a bit harder.
Is going above the world against the rules? It seems so inviting with grass and strange structures. If not, you should edit your map to have lava fields above the map so people cant move around intersections up there.

Well that's escaping the map so it isn't allowed. Most of the map is generally close to the top, so if I put lava all around there, it would probably lag everyone's computers, which would be a major problem.
I have gotten over 750 downloads on Corrupted Lands! Thanks to everyone who has played it! I am also very close to 250 downloads on Corrupted Lands 2. Should also have some updates about Abundant Seas tomorrow.
Just played Corrupted Lands 1. Fast and fun little map - I really liked it I generally like maps where u dont have to grind stuff, I rather let the mapmaker give me things http://puu.sh/3yZbg.png my VM. Also, i died twice. Number one was cause i fell into lava and the second one was at the area with the 4 diamonds in the roof (sorry, i dont remember the name). Thought i'd make the drop...lol ^-^
Well thanks for playing. Abundant Seas will be harder and longer. Obviously the Corrupted Lands maps are very short and easy when compared to other maps.
Added a new picture for Abundant Seas. Holy crap making that area took a long time. I have 2 more places to go in Intersection 4. Then my brother and I will test the map for Alpha. I'll change some things and then release it as a Beta to everyone.
(Why do I say things like people are "following" me? Maybe it's because I'm CRAZY!!!!)

I have finished Intersection 1 completely and posted a new picture. Now for Intersection 2 and all of its areas.
