Beta testing, on the other hand, involves other people. I'm not 100% sure how I'm going to pick the testers yet, but what I'll probably do is put a poll in the OP and tell people to vote for a certain option if they would like to and have the time to beta. Then I'll pick the testers from the people who voted. That way I'll be able to choose people who I know are fit for the job, but I won't go around picking people who have a conflict or have no interest in testing.
That poll could potentially go up tomorrow, but no guarantees. If I don't put it up tomorrow I won't be able to until Friday.
----------
Also, quick update because why not.
Currently I've finished placing vanilla spawners through Pneumatica (cyan area). I may try to do another area or two before I retire for the night. Also, the vines in Pinnacle Cavern were annoying me while I was placing spawners, so I went ahead and trimmed them. So that area has been vine-trimmed, but none of the others have. That's why the Fourth Pass in the progress meter has started despite the third pass still taking place. I'm hoping to finish the third and fourth passes before the end of tomorrow, but I can't guarantee that as there's still a lot more vanilla spawners that need to be placed.
As I hinted at above, I'll be gone from this Sunday through Friday. When I get back I'll try to participate in the fourth Strawberry Jam (as it'll be going on during that time), but I'll be limited to two days instead of three, so don't expect anything as big as Redemption.

Just casted my vote! Looking forward to the jam
might try and throw something together of my own! Probably will not have time tho ;L

Can't wait for the Jam! I do have time to beta test though.
Wow! This map looks great so far! I remember your first map, posted in your old Galactic Gauntlet thread. I think it was named 'Cramped' or something, and used the same Monument concept of a Mural that had to be filled with wool, except it only needed 4 wool blocks. You've come a long way from there, and I am very excited for the release of The Painter. I would be happy to Beta-Test it for you, and I have plenty of time!
I know I'm a bit late for these, but over the past week or so, I've been playing your CTM advents. They are absolutely fantastic. Easily on par with Xekaj's in terms of both gameplay and aesthetics.
#1 - Blasting Abyss
For me, an advent CTM is a hardcore challenge where you take every risk, and waste no time. That was definitely true on this map. It was a blast (huehuehue) to run past all the super creepers and snatch the Green wool in the first section. The tnt under the ground at the entrance to the giant cave got me on my first run, nice trick . Then, I dug up some dirt to bridge with, and bridged as fast as I could while shooting down the tentacles. On my winning run, I got really lucky with the blazes and they didn't cause any trouble.
Difficulty rating - 3/5
#2 - Decaying Hold
My favorite part of this map is the introduction and overall aesthetic. While I didn't have much trouble at all with the castle, the spiders coming from everywhere and nowhere at the beginning nearly killed me. The structure of the castle was kind of weird, I dug into the wall right where the intro path led and snagged the green wool without any mobs at all Then, it was easy enough to climb the vines and deflect tentacles fireballs and grab the red. Victory was only a jump away onto the vines below! I completed this one on my first try
Difficulty rating - 1/5
#3 - Gate of the Void
ooh. I loved this one. Before I even loaded the map I was intimidated by your eerie description of the hellish pathways hanging underneath the lowest nether, and when I started my first run the quality of the aesthetic really surprised me. It took me several tries (maybe 6) before I got a hang of the glass panes and spawner layout, but then it was simply down to getting lucky with spawners and being skilled enough to handle whatever happened (especially with ghasts). On one run, I was shot off of the path while running back to the monument by the dang tentacles.
Difficulty rating - 4/5
#4 - Corrupted Courtyard
It's fun to whack things with a hoe.
Difficulty rating - 2/5 (my low health in the picture is due to a baby zombie pestering me while posing for the pic lol)
#5 - Victory Run
VICTORY RUN. Definitely my favorite out of the five. When you said this map is extremely difficult, you were right. The combination of semi-difficult parkour and sprinkling of spawners and the low gear level makes this one brutally hard but also very very very fun. This is a perfect example, in my opinion, of what these advent ctms should be. Short, difficult, with a pattern that you can only learn through repeated trials, just like a final boss in an old video game.
I didn't count, but I'd say it took me about 70 attempts until I finally completed this map. I actually got to the ladder jump at the end (which was cruel of you ) only five times. Mostly, my deaths were by ghast and creeper. Especially the creepers at the end, they would blow up every time unless I hit them off (which there isn't really time to do xD). The ghasts were so random that, even though the map was essentially the same, every run was different enough to make it rewarding and exciting to play through again.
My final run of Victory Run was completed with this playing in the background, definitely helped me win
Overall, an AMAZING map. definitely a work of art.
Difficulty rating - 10/5
note - sorry for my steve skin in some of the pictures, my internet was down but I still wanted to take on your maps so I played in offline mode
Thanks for the screenshots and positive comments! It really means a lot to know that people enjoy those so much.

On a different note, I've returned from my week-long trip, but don't expect any progress updates for the next few days. I'm making another minimap for Strawberry Jam #4, entitled "All in a Nutshell".
Remember when I said before I left that you shouldn't expect anything too big? I lied. Instead of just making a few large areas and putting 3 or 4 objectives in, I've decided to create a full 12-disc, 4-intersection map with smaller diverse areas (hence the map name).
Just to keep you guys updated: Still working on the Jam map. It's huge and could probably qualify as a small full map at this point, and it should be out late tonight.
I've already posted all of these pictures on the Jam thread (except for the tower, but other people have still seen it), but I'll put them here for those of you who don't check there:
All in a Nutshell, a full 12-disc 4-intersection map made in less than 72 hours, is now available for download in the OP. I haven't had time to do a test playthrough (just a flythrough), so it may be unbalanced, but I may update it later (perhaps during The Painter's beta phase).
Since that kind of burned me out, I won't be mapmaking for the next few days, and apparently I'm going to be gone from late Wednesday to Sunday. Once I get back, though, I'll finish The Painter and begin the alpha test. This probably means that the beta test won't start in early July as expected; it'll probably be closer to mid-July.
Alpha testing is just me.
Beta testing, on the other hand, involves other people.
