(not spoiling anything, so ill just put it there)
Saw them with MCEdit. It's the sign outside the box. It contains the index number(maybe) for all the boxes.
Duh, I mean the eighth book.
Oh okay.
- 8th book is in one of the lower corners - the room that talks about Pink Floyd. You have to get on top of the platform in the center of the room, then follow the path outside.
- A3, B12, E7 signs, they are just labelled for myself when I was creating the Complex so I can know which room has which item
Ah, okay! It makes more sense now (the other thing).
Also, I want to make it clear: I hope I'm not implying that the puzzles were bad. it's just that there weren't many of them. And as cool as the presentation was, the map really came down to
Find the three books and the Hell room. Although, much liked that linked trailer, figuring out what you were supposed to do in the first place probably was the real puzzle. Plus piecing the story together was good fun. Funny enough, I didn't notice Book 1 until I had returned back to the starting room at the end, heh.
So yeah, really good map, totally worth the ~2 hours. I recorded a playthrough (like many of the people here), but I've got some editing to do on it first. I'll be sure to post the first ep here when it's done.
No that's cool. I didn't set out to be a map full of puzzles. the Code already excels in that. I think the navigation itself is tricky enough. As you said, piecing the plot together is another puzzle.
Can't wait to check out your video when I get some time. Which version are playing?
Also, I'm going to place your video in the LP section on the front page. How do you want me to display your name?

In case you hadn't figured it from the video, I was playing 1.4.

I'm not a map reviewer, sooo yah this map is good, especially the plot twist and that one parkour room. The idea of putting away the player to despawn the pig zombies are a good idea, too.

Do you ever use teleporters to mess up our sense of positioning within the rooms? Besides the deja vu room of course.
My goal was never to irritate the player. You're not meant to be screwed with by placing you randomly around. There is a balance where the navigation is the obstacle. That's why all the parkour is optional. Mob fighting is technically optional. Egg hunting is optional. You don't lose items and you can die whenever with no consequence. I'm not going to overwhelm you with a ton of obstacles in one challenge. I think that's a poor design. Like if you had a maze, and it's cramped, then it's dark, then you have spawners all around, then the roof is caving in. It's just too much. I would argue Complex is the most enjoyable "maze" like map because of it's variety, visuals, and openness.
The only one that I intentionally mess up positioning is the beginning "fake spawn" button. Just to give a bit of a challenge, now you are stuck in a maze with no idea where the start is anymore. Memory Loss was a silly prank. House Island return button, there's not really a way to return you back to the room you pressed unless I made 3 other house island copies. Exit button, sets your spawn in there anyway, so that's not too bad. Or maybe you mean the TelepOREtation room? None of the buttons, besides the first initial "phony spawn" button are used to manipulate you. And there are colours in each door which indicate east, west, north, south to make it logical.

Thanks for making this map, Just grabbed it now to try it out. What is the deal with the 2P issues? I'd rather play this 2P but I don't have a good feel for what the issues might be that I run into. (I've read the readme as well) Perhaps you can't explain without spoiling and perhaps once playing it, It will all become clear.

"Nopefully" or "Inawordnope" are both fine names.

You finish the map yet?
A suspiciously specific example.
mangled zombie corpsesunusual resources.Shhhhhh! I'm being.. uh... "generic" yeah that's it
Yeah, I finished the map. There was one part where it felt like the positioning was outta whack, that's somewhere around video 8 or 9.
