Added the new town arena. Added two new game modes; King Of The Hill and Team Battle. Added four new classes; Flame Archer, Angel, Academic and Rogue. Added an option to change the day/night cycle. Changed the spawning mechanic (This may be reversed, lets see how it goes). Reduced the time it takes to respawn. Re-vamped the Lava arena, now it's so much better and not that boring. Modified the Ruins and Ice arena. Updated the map to 1.6 (just simplified some mechanics, ie. don't need food any more). Balanced a few of the classes; Archer, Sniper, Alchemist. Randomising teams works now. Fixed the bug when in the team select room and not being able to choose a class. Rewrote most of the topic post.
This is a PvP map create using various 1.5/1.6 features. It uses scoreboards, command blocks, MCEdited invisible walls and various other features to bring out the best in Minecraft PvP. Featuring 15 classes, a spectator mode, 6 built in arenas (with the ability to expand to more arenas), various 'win conditions'; options and a whole bunch of team and FFA customisation. Contains a built in random spawn mechanic and 'invisible walls' you see in many games. It even has support of unlimited players (as long as your server can handle it). There is are a minimum number of clocks or any lag creating machine in the map so it should be as lag free as possible; however, selecting team gametypes does induce a bit of lag.

Ruins Arena [Default Arena]:
A slightly hilly map with many hills to create an even combat arena. With many open and closed areas this map is perfect for any class. This map is recommended to be used first so as to get used to the different classes and to find out their strengths and weaknesses.

A flat open area with many icicles to hide behind. The floor is mainly made of ice and that brings a new perspective on the game. A perfect map for ranged combat and skillful melee.

A small town located in a forest. Owned by a lady and a lord who care for their villagers, this town is spacious and peaceful. This map provides a delightful amount of various combat areas give each class a distinct advantage over each other in each area.

Here is some information on the map
The Pits of Hell:
A semi-large map inspired by the Nether and Nether Fortresses. A large volcano surrounded by a nether brick village surround by a lake of lava. Using some fancy MCEdit filter the volcano erupts every so often with TNT. This map is a difficult one as classes with knock-back will have an advantage as they can punch players into the lava or fires. A lot of the map is lava and so picking the Pyro can give you a distinct advantage.
Recommended Players: 12+ players

Mount Olympus (Coming in v1.0):
A large sized floating island that harbour the mythical Mount Olympus, home of the Greek gods. With the Pantheon and a host of ancient Greek buildings scattered around the island, it is a treacherous but beautiful place. Many a player will fall off of the gaping holes, or spawn in to find themselves stranded on one of the floating islands surrounding the Mount. Players using a class with knock back will have a lot of fun on this map. A good tip would be to look where you are going. If you spawn in stranded on an island, look around, there is always a way out.

General Game Options:
There are quite a few general game options that are not specific to FFA or Team game type.
Day/Night Cycle: This options toggles whether or not there is a day/night cycle and whether the time is all day or all night. The first option leaves the cycle on, meaning you will get so daytime gameplay and some night time gameplay. If you choose to pick either all day or all night the time will be set to midday or midnight, respectively, and will freeze and so no in-game time will pass.
Killing Sprees: This options toggles Killing Sprees on or off. Killing Sprees mean that every time someone gets 5 or 10 kills in a row they will get a buff or a de-buff. There are seven buffs and four de-buffs; they are Speed, Slowness, Strength, Regeneration, Resistance, Weakness, Nausea, Fire Resistance, Blindness, Instant Health and Jump Boost.
Rotating Maps (Coming in v1.0): Rotating maps is a feature that allows you to play multiple games over multiple arena's without having the reset or change any settings. This is very useful on servers where the map is constantly being played.
Ultimates (Coming in v1.0): An Ultimate is a special item that appears every so often. This ultimate, when acquired, allows the player to unleash utter fury on all of the other players. If you have ever played Super Smash Bros Brawl you will know what I'm talking about (Final Smashes).
Disable Buff Chests (Coming in v1.0): This option just toggles whether or not buff chests are enabled.
Free For All (FFA) Game Options:
Free For All is the default game type for this map. There are no specialised game types for FFA with the exception of Juggernaut (Coming in v1.0). The few that do exist are listed below.
Play Until You Drop (Unlimited Mode): With PUYD mode players just play until they want to stop. There is no time or score limit. Players can quit any time by pressing the quite button after dying (located on the opposite wall to which you face upon spawning).
Score Limit: A score limited game has no time limit, however, once someone reaches a certain amount of kills the game will stop and scores will be reset. The score can be limited to 25 kills, 50 kills, 100 kills, 200 kills or 500 kills.
Time Limit: A time limited game has no score limit, however, once a certain time is reached the game will stop and scores will be reset. The time can be limited to 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes and 60 minutes.
Juggernaut (Coming in v1.0): In Juggernaut mode one person become the Juggernaut, this person can choose between three specialised Juggernaut classes; Berserker, Sorcerer and Marksman. This 'Juggernaut' is extremely powerful and very deadly. In Juggernaut the scoring is different; killing a players still grants you 1 point however, killing a Juggernaut grants you 10 points making it very profitable. Another bonus of killing the Juggernaut is that you become the Juggernaut meaning you can kill even more people.
Team Game Options:
There are many different game types for team games as well as many options for these game types. There is also the option to play Class Based Teams, however there is no options for this (maybe some in v1.0). If you pick customised teams you can pick from any of the game types listed below, as well as being able to pick how many teams you are going to play with. There are five different options with selecting the amount of teams to play with; 2 Teams (Red v Blue), 3 Teams (Red v Blue v Yellow), 4 Teams (Red v Blue v Yellow v Green), 6 Teams (Red v Blue v Yellow v Green v Black v White) and 8 Teams (Red v Blue v Yellow v Green v Black v White v Orange v Purple).
Play Until You Drop: This is exactly the same as the FFA PUYD game mode, however it is played with teams.
Time Limit: This game type is the same as the FFA one, just played with teams.
Score Limit: The same as in FFA, with teams instead.
King of the Hill: In King of the hill mode, teams try and capture the middle flag, holding it long enough for their points to reach zero. Once a teams points reach zero, that team wins. When you start the game you are able to choose how long a team needs to hold the point. When you select an option it will set each teams scores to the respective points (ie, select 1 minute = 60 points). Every second a tesfor command block checks to see if anyone is on the Hill. If one team is on the hill a point is deducted from that teams score, if multiple teams are on the hill no point are deducted. The options for this game type are: (The exchange rate is 1 point = 1 second) 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 250 points, 500 points.
Capture the Flag: In capture the flag mode teams try and capture other teams flags and then return it to their own flag to earn a point. However you may only get a point if your flag has not been captured. Every time someone dies holding the flag or another teams scores a point, the respective flags are returned to their rightful places. For a team to pick up a flag (not capture) they must stand on an opposing teams flag point for fifteen seconds without being knocked off (Being knocked off will reset the time. Other teams may stand on the flag point. If the opposing team stands on the point the timer stops, but doesn't reset). The options for this game type change the amount of captures to win: 3 captures to win, 5 captures to win or 10 captures to win.
Team Eliminator: In team eliminator mode teams must 'eliminate' other teams by capturing their spawn points (flags). Once a teams stands on the spawn point they must hold it for thirty seconds, in that time the opposing team may try and regain their spawn point, however they will respawn using the rand spawn for FFA mode. Once a teams spawn has been captured they are 'eliminated' and cannot respawn, but will still stay in the game until they die, meaning they can make a desperate attempt to capture another teams flag. The options for this game are for how long a team needs to hold a spawn to elimination the other team.
Team Battle: In team battle mode, teams fight against each other like normal, except they have limited lives. Once these lives run out they cannot respawn. Last team standing wins. The options for this game change how many lives each team has, or how many lives each individual player has: 1 life per player, 2 lives per player, 8 lives per team, 16 lives per team or 32 lives per team.

When me and my friends tried to play this on a server we are all unable to go in the server. It tells us
Internal exception: java.IOException: Received string length longer than maximum allowed (26>16)
If we change to another map it works so the error probably comes from your map.
Yeah i found out about that today. It was because I had played on the map offline and so instead of my name being DARKHAWX, it was my email address (that I registered for minecraft) and that was 26 letters instead of 16. That has been fixed in the latest version along with other bugs.

For people having problems with the ghost class not respawning properly or that all of the players would get the effect that a class would (eg. someone would respawn as a pyro and everybody would get the fire resistence) or that killing sprees and dying sprees not working, these problems have bee fixed in the latest download.

Chests give every class different effects, that means:
Every class has his own item that is useless in combat.
But when he opens the chest, then he loses the special item, gets a effect, and gets his special item back.
(Special item like Netherquartz for ze Ghost)
Effects:
Ghost: Gets Waterbreathing for 9999 seconds. Sniper: Gets 4 arrows. Archer: Gets Speed 1 for 15 seconds. Tank: Gets Resistance 1 / 2 for 30 seconds. Knight: Gets Strenght 1 for 15 seconds. Pyro: Gets "Fire Potion" (Regeneration 10 + Posion 10 for 8 seconds [Splash]) Medic: Gets Instant 5 Hearts of health. Mage: Gets Regeneration 1 for 10 seconds. Assassin: Gets Speed 3 for 10 seconds. Alchemist: Gets 1 Wither 2 Potion (0:10 seconds) Teleporter: Gets 2 Enderpearls.
And then there are these chests that give everybody one Buff.
I'm sorry I don't understand exactly what you are trying to tell me. Are you saying that the buff chests should give specific buffs to each class? I'm slightly confused here. Why are you saying that each class has an item that is useless in combat?

Hi! Guys i have a question. Why when i start this map on serwer comands blocks dont work? (Pls dont hate me for my english becouse i dont know english very good )
You probably don't have command blocks enabled. All you need to do is open server.properties (located in the server folder) and then find this:
enable-command-block=false
and then change it to this:
enable-command-block=true
That should fix it.

The options for this game type change the amount of captures to win: 3 captures to win, 5 captures to win or 10 captures to win.
Team Eliminator: In team eliminator mode teams must 'eliminate' other teams by capturing their spawn points (flags). Once a teams stands on the spawn point they must hold it for thirty seconds, in that time the opposing team may try and regain their spawn point, however they will respawn using the rand spawn for FFA mode. Once a teams spawn has been captured they are 'eliminated' and cannot respawn, but will still stay in the game until they die, meaning they can make a desperate attempt to capture another teams flag. The options for this game are for how long a team needs to hold a spawn to elimination the other team.
Team Battle: In team battle mode, teams fight against each other like normal, except they have limited lives. Once these lives run out they cannot respawn. Last team standing wins. The options for this game change how many lives each team has, or how many lives each individual player has: 1 life per player, 2 lives per player, 8 lives per team, 16 lives per team or 32 lives per team.

0.2 - Removed four classes and balanced others. Started upon the lobby and scoreboard.

Re-vamped the Lava arena, now it's so much better and not that boring. Modified the Ruins and Ice arena. Updated the map to 1.6 (just simplified some mechanics, ie. don't need food any more). Balanced a few of the classes; Archer, Sniper, Alchemist. Randomising teams works now. Fixed the bug when in the team select room and not being able to choose a class. Rewrote most of the topic post.

If we change to another map it works so the error probably comes from your map.
Yeah i found out about that today. It was because I had played on the map offline and so instead of my name being DARKHAWX, it was my email address (that I registered for minecraft) and that was 26 letters instead of 16. That has been fixed in the latest version along with other bugs.
Sorry, I have not. We record on Tues nights and we've been finishing up 2 other series. If we get time, we will play it tonight. Think it will definitely be the next map in our Friend Fight series though.

I'm sorry I don't understand exactly what you are trying to tell me. Are you saying that the buff chests should give specific buffs to each class? I'm slightly confused here. Why are you saying that each class has an item that is useless in combat?

You probably don't have command blocks enabled. All you need to do is open server.properties (located in the server folder) and then find this:
and then change it to this:
That should fix it.
