The first ever "dating sim" in Minecraft. Explore the city of love and find your perfect match. Complete loads of challenges to swoon your significant other. Will you find the one right for you or will you amass a bunch of haters?
You MUST use the included texture pack to play this map. If playing on SMP ensure enable-command-block is set to true in the server.properties file! It will not work without these things.
This map is intended for single player, however it IS compatible with multiplayer as long as you only have one person talking to a character at a time. IE: if P1 is talking to Amy, P2 cannot talk to Amy, but P2 can be talking to Shaz. For more specifics on multiplayer, more details are inside the map.
KNOWN BUGS
1.04: None yet!
1.03 Possible to get stuck into the animal enclosures at the petshop
1.02:Using optifine and "better grass" will cause graphical issues at the spawn point, but it will be fine for the remaining of the map.
If the bank teller is not there, you cannot complete the "Amy" storyline. For some reason the bank teller will randomly vanish? Trying to figure out why now.
This map is NOT compatible with certain bukkit plugins because it uses vanilla command block commands. Also, it's very computer intensive and you will likely experience lag on a slower pc. Turning smooth lighting off will help dramatically. If, you didn't spawn at the beginning, the starting coordinates are: x:-1340 y:57 z:2081.
This was supposed to be a 2 week project that ballooned into a full scale adventure/puzzle map. It has some amazing puzzles and challenges including a level of NPC AI that has never been seen before on this scale. There are over 6 different citizens you can end up with, with a tonne of collectibles and things that are tracked over the course of the map. Don't forget to post your final score here so we can see how you did!
This was a collaboration effort between myself and some very well known map makers. Make sure you check them out!
I will be rotating the LP's in the front every now and again if there are a lot of them. Post them here so we can watch you play it!

After much consideration, I've raised my review for "City of Love" up to 20/20.
I was originally holding back on my 'Progression' rating, based on what I perceived to be a fairly complicated sequence of basics to comprehend, and the chaotic open world feel. But after watching MANY LPs, I am not seeing players held back by either of those elements. In fact, in my original review I was discounting the fact that this map has SIX separate story and ending sequences. I had to go back and play it to see the ones I missed. And I also discounted the interplay/clues that happen between some of the primary NPCs. I thought the scoring tokens were a little to easy, but after watching/replaying I am seeing that I missed a good deal of them in subtle places.
As my English sucks, I have a question:
What actually happened to Amy in the end?
Thanks for playing! I fear if I told you what really happened with you and Amy in her room you might not have chosen her to get married with you... I am glad you did though! She's a catch.

Yay! I was actually hoping for a 20 and was a bit bummed when you said 19 to start. I honestly think this is the best map i've worked on so far and even though you did work on it, I'm glad you were able to look at it objectively and score it accordingly. It has so much cool stuff in there and I think it turned out super awesome. Thanks for your help on it too!

I would give a 19 actually, the city was quite exciting to be in, although trying to do the Robot was realllly hard. Maybe give a smoother difficulty curve. (?)

Well as far as difficulty curve goes, there is quite a smooth one I think. You're right there is a lot to learn but that's mainly because a map like this has never been done before. I think if tech like this gets used more often (and who wouldn't want fully dynamic text npc characters) then it will just become second nature. Some characters are hard, some are super easy, the best part is you can end the map whenever you like and still get to see the ending sequence. So it's sort of like mario where you can finish the game, but if you want a real challenge then you will get all the stars too. I already had someone else complain that it was too easy. So if one person says it is too hard, and another person says it's too easy, but BOTh are able to finish the map, then I think the difficulty is perfect. That said, thanks for the feedback, I do enjoy discussing stuff like this

Its probably the fact that I'm "underaged" for this type of content XD
And you were really mean.

It's interesting that you say that. Before I released the map I almost put an "age warning" on it. It is certainly aimed at an older audience which is really uncommon for Minecraft maps. Decided not to in the end because who am I to say what age the map is appropriate for? There is no ESRB for maps so

I'm not saying it was bad or anything, it might be good practice for real life XD but I'm not like 5 years old. I'm a teen, just a younger teen (if you get what I mean)

Haha, I wouldn't use anything in this map for practice for real life xD
